Great job Teddy. This video gave me an idea. How about taking a particular element of watches, such as finishing, and working it up through $10k jumps. Explain how the prices generally are reflective of the increasing quality and complexity rather than just the hype.
Thank you TEDDY to show us so many great watches with all the technical explanations. All these watches are wonderful for a fair price.
Your choices for this category were spot on Teddy.
Great Video Teddy and Team. Always direct and full of great content and no BS theatrics.
The Ulysse Nardin marine chronometer has one of the coolest movements in the $7,000 price range.
It has a double anchor rotor and circular finishing across the plate!
That Grand Seiko has some great art on it. 15:20 Look at the birch trunk polishing inside the movement
Diving into the world of horology, I'm captivated by the allure of expensive watches. Any recommendations for a timepiece that combines both elegance and craftsmanship?
Considering the unique feature of the Richard millie RM 26-01, acquiring this timepiece involves a different approach than. Traditional watches. The limited production and intricate design suggest potential appreciation with time
Absolutely, investing in luxury watches requires a keen eye for craftmanship and a long term perspective. Beyond its timekeeping function, the exclusivity and brand reputation associated with Richard mille can contribute to its value
I completely agree. At 55 years old and contemplating a significant watch investment, I’ve been eyeing the Richard Mille RM 26-01 as a potential addition to my collection.
With the intricate features and limited availability, I recognize the need for expert advice in making such a purchase. Do you have any recommendations for a trustworthy financial advisor?
I’ve been working with “CARL JASON COHEN" His expertise in luxury watches, including Richard Mille, has been invaluable.
Fantastic, Teddy. Love most of these!
This video is so satisfying, well done!
some really really cool picks for this video good job teddy
Great video and some awesome choices there - I feel that Longines should have featured here too, they have relseased so many great designs recently
Glad to see the DJ36 and the SMP300M (both in my collection) on the list! Deff think iwc pilots chronograph41 deserves some praise on that finishing too.
Great selection, I would have included the Omega Globemaster Annual Calendar with the silver dial and blued hands ($9200) rather than the standard Globemaster.
Fantastic as always Teddy !!!!
Great video , was just wondering about the zenith el primero? I love this watch
Hey teddy
Could you do a video or an article about watches with micro rotor movements since I love that complication and I think other people will enjoy it as well
Love this channel so informative
That Omega World Timer has been top of my list for a while - every time I see that watch, I like it more. I’ve tried it on a few times and it looks even more amazing in person
I can’t get my mind off it. I also think of the PO and SMP300, but that Worldtimer… I’ve never seen anything like it.
How’d it fit on your wrist? I’ve never tried on an AT.
No 4, would make a nice retirement Gift from me to me 😁.
No doubt being financially free and not having to worry much about health care and these luxury leisure expenses cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.
yeah that's a good path, focus on a good strategy, relax back and watch it compound within the years. In good time you'll see returns.
Investors should also exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly retirement during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields taxation.
indeed, most people downplay the roles of financial planners until burnt by there mistakes. Productivity is optimized and keeping up to date strategies and analysis makes it more lucrative. I've been able to navigate the volatilities and scaled up 880k from 220k with professional guidance.
I' m 50, retired a while at 45. 1 have 35% of my capital invstments in an IRA. 25% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts. in cumulative of over $ 5M. I receive income from my rental properties too. Zero debt and all is going accordingly. My financial consultant has been patient and has done a wonderful job for me throughout the years, retirement has been blissful
Grand Seiko and Jaeger-LeCoultre are amazing - my two fav brands.
Very nice informative presentation thanks Teddy 💪👏👍
A fantastic selection Teddy. Thank you!
Nice teddy. I own rolex, jlc, glashutte and zenith. All being covered here
It's great that you included the White Birch. Indeed, the craftsmanship of its movement is significantly superior to most other watches I own (and is even slightly better than my JLC). It is much better finished than the movement in my SBGW285 with the 9S64 manual winding caliber. You mentioned that it is one of the best-finished movements in its price range. Are there other movements (from different manufacturers) under $10,000 that come close to this level of movement decoration?
I have the hi Beat. Looks so good but can't really keep time. Always advance by 2 mins per day. Omega SMP is more reliable.
How about opening up these giveaways to other countries? I’ll pay for shipping on a watch lol
Canada isn’t that far 😎🤷♂️
Even Puerto Rico is not included even though its part of the USA 😢
Import tax
@@K520-1More akin to Gibraltar
USA USA!
What really impressed me is the Citizen Tsuyosa. The finishing looks too good for the price. I got it a few weeks ago
I guess you could name many GS models.
But I’m limit myself: SBGY007 (Omiwatari) with its clean no date-look (plus See-through case back and the typical attention to detail on the dial) and the SBGJ271 / SBGJ273 with their (supposedly) snow / autumn leaf-mirroring dials (although I have to say I think the GMT scale is a bit too visible to fully convince me with its style, I think SBGE269 and SBGE271 are more elegant overall, but maybe less stylish)
I love them GS watches. I'm definitely buying one from you when I can.
That Omega worldtimer 😍
I'll take one of each, thank you!
Perfect choices 👌
Hey Teddy, if you're looking for a new video idea, I've noticed you don't have one regarding polishing a watch. Thanks for the vids!
Bremont watches have great finishing.
Thanks ☺️
finally open case backs review😀
Cartier and IWC is underrepresented a little bit!
I think the Datejust and the Grand Seikos are the best of this bunch
Hi Teddy! May I know where is your green jacket from?!🙌🏻
Is the Zenith Defy case/bracelet actually finished any better than the CW Twelve case/bracelet? The finishing on the CW seems just as good - the movement is of course a different story altogether.
The spring drive reserve on the GS Spring Drives detracts from the dial for me. Without the reserve I would have purchased the Cherry Blossom.
I’d pick Omiwatari just for this reason. Very clear dial. Perfect.
Grand Seiko takes the crown for dial and case finishing and sometimes the movement
I love GO‘s style
Hi, I have not seen much on this brand on TH-cam but I would love to hear your opinion on the last French manufacturer Pequignet
Can I expect a video on it one day?
Teddy I really want that jacket you have on here. Would you mind sharing what brand that is?
Omega, aqua terr
The case and dial finishing of some Citizen Campanolas can compete with any brand in this price range.
The GO is the first good example. Any GO, any price range.
I recently took an interest in the Glashütte Original SeaQ Panorama Date. However, the movement's craftsmanship didn't exactly blow me away (it looked better in the pictures than in person) - sure, it's quite nice, but I expected more. My White Birch, for example, has a significantly better finishing of the movement. Which Glashütte Original watches do you own? And how do they compare for you?
Can you do a video in the 10-20k range?
San Martin SN0129G-GMT
$264.00
Best finishing for the price.
nice choice but saw both and thing orient star has way better finishing, costing around 450 dollars: orient star AF02001S
Tungsten carbide is no joke!
I’d add most Grand Seikos.
Great video and good selection Teddy, my Top 5 are the Zenith Defy, LU Chopard, the Grand Seikos and Nomos Glashutte and the Omega Globemaster blue pan pie dial. Honestly this would be my dream collection to have. Just started with a Constellation Blue patterned dial which is stunning, a Longines Classic dress watch, a Fortis B42, Seiko Alpinist Gold on Green SPB210…
Glahütte Panomatik. You mentioned it but said retail was above 10k. You can buy it below 10k pretty much anywhere.
He does the videos off of msrp. Just to keep everything fair. Across the industry it is taboo to talk about buying on the grey market. These TH-camrs have direct relationships with these companies and IMO it’s kind of disrespectful to mention that fact. Mostly everyone knows you can get these watches much cheaper but it’s mostly to show respect to the companies.
Hey Teddy what do you think about the brand Philip Stein? There's not much content about it...
I may be a bit biased since I own one, but the Cartier Santos is just an absolute stunner, underrated from a finishing standpoint imo. The heat-treated blue hands, the crown, the ingenious bracelet/strap system, the curved crystal...absolute class. I also own the Sub 124060 and the Omega AT worldtimer and I'm definitely not protesting their inclusions here
Agree. Santos is incredible
Yes Cartier finishing is underrated.
I agree with all watches except the moon watch. I have it and wouldn’t say the finishing is top notch. The case and bracelet are so sharp at the edges and can use a bit more work. Not a comfortable watch to wear.
Great video Teddy. I personally own three of the brands mentioned (Omega, Rolex, Grand Seiko) and they’re all phenomenal for anyone who is just starting a collection.
And also probably unattainable for those just starting a collection. Generally people just starting a collection are probably looking at $2000 or less 🤷♂️
@@thetattedpharmacist3215 What you’re saying is generally true but not empirically true. Because money is relative both your statement and my statement can be true at the same time. Because more people have the experience you’ve mentioned your statement is generally true.
@@martinvalle8945which is exactly what I said, GENERALLY. Didn’t mention anywhere about my statement being empirically correct. Yes I made a generalisation, but I included the word generally in that statement so it was explicitly NOT trying to be an empirically true catch-all haha
@thetattedpharmacist3215 I actually started my collection with a Rolex and A Cartier. Then after that watches like a Hamilton.
@@tyarnold4088… what? lol my first ever watch cost £115 and was a Seiko, I suppose im limited to my age being 16, though I have just received another Seiko for around £400
I can't see how any watch could be finished any better than my GS quartz with champagne dial.
the only thing that sucks to me at grand seiko is that their golden coloured watches dont have the stunning dials the silver toned watches have and i am really mad at that. i want a gold toned watch from grand seiko with a nice paper or other dial below 5k and there is nothing like that
One Question, Teddy. Why I never see you talk about Franck Muller, although it kinda popular in Asia. Please let me know or at least make some video of it 😅
What jacket are you wearing in this video?
The Zurich's finishing isn't necessarily higher than that of less expensive Nomos models. You're paying more for the added features of the watch.
Does this work for US service members stationed in Korea???
Nobody asked and my opinion doesn't count but I'd like to see a TB video covering the best bracelets. Just a suggestion from a nobody. Keep up the great work.
Hi Teddy not sure if your gonna read this, but my name is Michael Aguirre and just got into the watch game. Could you possibly do a video comparing the WISE ADAMASCUS AD861A Stainless 904L
To a Seiko watch of equal value from the presage collection and compare them? Please this would be so awesome and thanks for your videos!
Where would Cartier fall? Santos de Cartier, Santos-Dumont, Tanks?
Complimenti
Nomos on my next hunting list!
Hey, I signed up for the giveaway but all the watches I put have a collected total higher than $5k. Am I still eligible to win ?
The problem with Rolex is that you can't tell the time in most conditions due to a lack of ARC. Dial always looks foggy or hazy. The Zenith is my personal favourite.
That chronomat is a nice piece but 15mm is a little to thick.
For you, perhaps.
US only... how about some Canadain love!
is the giveaway still going? clicked the link and just saw the page but nowhere to put the info
In the last 10 years I builded a nice collection of different watch brands. Therefore I can tell you little bit more about finishing in the under 10k area. The winner of the best finished dials = Grand Seiko. The bracelet winner = Rolex. The overall case finish = JLC. The value for money finish = PRX. Trust me ;-)
Hi teddy, could you please sell these watches on your website? there is only an inquire button,. how to buy that Grand Seiko Spring Drive movement watch? I'm here to make a quick transaction.
Hi teddy, I wanted to know if it is possible for you to do a video of the cheapest real Rolex watches. My preference is about men but I don't really care if you do men and woman. Thanks. #Teddy
Truth!
No IWC ?
Hoping I win the spree. I put most of my budget on one watch - Longines Avigation A-7. What watch are you fellow watchers hoping to win?
no mention of any IWC :(
Why NO IWC?
Hey Teddy, when are you going to start including Canadians in the giveaways?
Why didn't you mention IWC watches??
Frederique Constant Highlife series and Classics Manufacture Series should be included in this List .
You missed Bvlgaria Octo Roma Chrono, a watch you should review.
I wont deny that Grand Seiko makes some of the finest finish watches for the price point, maybe even some of the finest finished watches point blank. I still dont want one. The fact that you can easily spend $6k - I'd rather have something flashier with a more respected name to commoners, and sacrifice maybe some detail finish under a jewelers loop, and movement quality - Still 25 jewel+ automatic, exhibition caseback, but bigger, flashier, that dont say "Seiko" on them. You guys know the brands I'm talking about
Nice
ممكن بكم ساعه ويستار من الذهب قديمه
Why such a disclaimer for putting Rolex on a list?
How could you not mention Seiko MarineMasters with their Zaratsu finishing?
Teddy, calling a dial "non offensive" is damning with faint praise. Perhaps "admirably simple" would have been a better choice.
Hi Teddy, one of your best videos so far, only too many GS's and perhaps not enough Cartier or Ulysse Nardin
Also, could you comment on one of the top 10 German independents, a Alexander Shorokoff? I find the artistic value and very limited releases makes it an incredible value altogether. Take the Black Swan, unique among watches, with beautiful mother pearl finishing on the dial
In Teddy speak, Dall = dial
so no Santos , Ulysse Nardin ?
Never thought "finishing" could have issues at that price range 😂
يوجد معي ساعه ويستار من الذهب ساعه نادره
For the money, Rolexes have subpar finishing for most of their watches
Rolex movements are actually more thoroughly finished than GS and Omega. Rolex finishes the surfaces you don’t see (eg dial side of the base plate has pearlage finishing) that GS and Omega do not. GS and Omega do a better job of decorating the visible surfaces. Look up pictures of disassemble Rolex, GS, and Omega movements and you’ll see it for yourself.
I love your videos so much. As a beginner in the watch industry, you’ve helped me tremendously. Keep doing what you do
