    Its Sunday April 21st 2024 and I've got the Wall & Shelf build to a point where I can stop on it for now. The Sheeting is all up 8' high the shelfs built and ready to go and a sheet put up to the roof line to keep the coons from getting into the shop side and braking stuff up on the loft. Other than the neighbor stopping by and helping put up the last sheet to keep the coons out I've done all the work myself and all the electrical work as well so I've gotten a lot done and I feel good about it. I have a lot of other projects to get to like the wide front swap for the 1850 and service it fix the grain drill got wagons to work on as well as the shaker bed in the 4400 and get Old Blue put back together and out of the shop and on the road ! But for now the wall shelf build is over for now and I got to finish cleaning it up and stuff put on the shelfs and gain some barn space. I got a lot to do this year and the only way I'll get it done is keep after it and get is done. I hope you enjoyed watching. Bandit

    I'm glad you're back to regular videos again. You did a good job on that shelving in your barn. No matter what, there is never such a thing as too much shelf space. Looks like you're getting things organized. We are finally starting to dry out here. I got my oats planted (finally) yesterday (April 23) which is about a week later than my target date, but with as wet as it has been (over 8 inches of rain in April) I'm glad to have them in. I'm disking for corn and beans now and getting my fertilizer spread. Have to go over things on the new White 5100 bean planter. My original 5100 that I use for corn is already ready. Hoping maybe next week I can get some planting done. It's been chilly here lately and I think the ground needs a few days to warm up yet.

      I'm trying my best to catch up and get back to normal again but man is ever hard to do. Now the first 16 feet is built I will more than likely add another 8 feet as I'm filling these up fast ! LOL Your right there is never enough shelf space. Local BTO came in Tuesday and knifed in anhydrous and Wednesday morning they rolled in with the turbo till and planted it last night. My ground a crossed the fence is still to wet to work but close to working and of course we got rain moving in tonight. But I will say they have been turbo till no till for 20 years so that ground is hard and I work mine. My ground right now looks like you could mow it for hay ! I dont have to worry about a cover crop mine comes back every year free of charge ! LOL Only fields you see around me that are clean right now are the guys who spray in the fall and I just cant afford to do that. Who knows I might try some no-till beans this year just for the heck of it, I dont think the old Long and no-till drill would mind at all. Bandit

      I got plenty of video to put up from last year and this year already. I just got to figure out how to combine videos from last year to make it make sense of the year how things went. Sometimes I wish I had someone to help with videos but I'm a one man show so I better get busy ! LOL Bandit

    Very good job Bandit!! I need your expertise to build shelves similar in my shop. Take a road trip to western SD and will put you to work. lol Thanks for the video.

      Thank You John, On the shelves over building them is the way to go ! LOL That way you never have to worry about them. I wouldnt mind a road trip to help you build some but this isnt the time of year to do that. What ever you think is heavy enough to do the job just add more and you wont regrate it. Bandit

    Bandit if you are interested and selling the narrow front from the 1850 let me know I will purchase it. The shelves look great and you are going to have more of your barn space back

      This project is long overdue and last year set a lot of things in motion and set me on a path to start getting a lot of things done and I'm just tired of the mess ! LOL Time to make some changes for sure and gain back barn space ! I've had several people ask about the narrow front already and I havent figured out what I'm going to do with it yet but I will add you to the list. Bandit

    shelves good good! i dont know how many 15'' tires i got around, get them for free in any condition you cant go wrong!

    • @banditfarmer1900
      @banditfarmer1900  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Decent 15" tires are about as hard to find as 14" around here now even finding good 16" tires is hard to do. I can find 17 18 19 and 20 inch tires all over the place but 14 15 and 16 inch tires your better off buying new ones cause $40 to $50 for a well worn tire is for the birds ! My biggest problem is a lot of the 14 15 and 16 inch rims I have take narrow tires and its getting hard to find tires to fit them. But I did get lucky and found 5 14" 6 ply trailer tires at a yard sale for $50 with real good tread and no weather checking on them. I got a bunch of tires I need to change so one day I guess me and the old tire changer are going to be busy for a couple of days when I get some time to do it but for right now I got lots of other things to do first. Never a shortage of things to do around the farm ! Bandit

    Looks good Bandit. Yup, you have to have some raccoon proof spaces on the farm. The little bastards will destroy anything.

    • @banditfarmer1900
      @banditfarmer1900  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank You Pete , Coons can be so destructive and they just dont care what they do. They broke a windshield I had stored on the loft and well as a couple fiberglass AC planter boxes 10 or more plastic planter plates and just crapped every ware you could ever think they could. The next video will be how not to put OSB sheeting up ! LOL Everything that could go wrong went wrong ! Bandit

      About a year ago I had old fired up and running in the shop and she ran great. I just ran out of time to do much else to it. But as soon as the crops are in I'm going to jump back on it and get it out of the shop and back on the road and then the shop gets cleaned out and set up like I have really wanted it to be. Last year was getting a lot of other outside projects done but this year its a lot of in the shop and shop projects getting done. I really want to get old Blue done and out of the shop asap ! Bandit

    I was thinking about you. Looks like busy times. I've watched for a long time. Whatever happened to Curtis? Eaglegards...

    • @banditfarmer1900
      @banditfarmer1900  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Curtis is doing really good now but like me he cant do the height thing anymore as he gets vertigo too. Its funny how life works out as he asked me a lot of questions about how things were different now after the accident like heights and reading print and how sometimes things just look different. My boy got dam lucky that day and its a good thing he is a Marine ! I think that really helped him recover and have the right frame of mind threw it all. I think he gave a few white hairs on my head worrying about him back then and I still just glad he's healed up and working again. Bandit
