Whatever is said about drums all sounding the same perhaps holds true except perhaps for Gretsch , they actually do have a unique sound , almost instantly recognisable.
Great video and drums set. One of my favorites however I would like to see videos of applying the drum set to contemporary music such as rock/pop/country instead of jazz. I assume there more drummers if the later genre. Jazz drums usually are tuned high and rock/pop/country kits are tuned more medium to low. I would like to hear the kit in these applications. Why always Jazz?!!
Great looking kit, but watching him play it is FANTASTIC! Like that was smoother than peanut butter.
Muy bueno
Damn... I want a gretsch kit!
Great little kit ,,, I have mine for about three months now ❤️😊
Just got my 1st Gretsch kit last month. Catalina Maple 7-piece
No other drums for me . Thanks Gretsch
Really enjoyed the playing.. outstanding phrasing and dynamics.. really shows this kit well.

Because most of the times the language and freedom jazz brings is quite richer. And I'm saying this as a rock / metal fan as well.
Gretch has quite the legacy in jazz, but of course they sound great in other applications as well
Always jazz? Man its hard to find good jazz demos of kits, theres thousands of vids of people demoing kits tuned low for rock.
