    So cool that no matter how long you've played, you can still get so excited that you have to play again...after just playing!

    Holyyyyyyyyy crap! Listen to the sounds of these little drums! So much power and warmth! Some drum manufacturers just excel with EVERY kit they make. Gretsch is one such company. Awesome drums, freaking glorious drummer, fantastic drum store and personnel.

    I really like those Kerope cymbals. They’re dark & warm, with just a hint of brightness. Really great sound.
    And, of course, the Brooklyns are out of this world. That’s just a given, especially with Stanton driving ‘em.🙂

    I really satisfy to have that my micro kit. These days, I have to record my drumming for school class in my home. so I bought micro kit and have used it. I did not change any skin or anything, but it sounds really good. some people say that is not worth to buy that much but I never doubt it. I really love this one.

    Not going to lie, seeing Stanton playing Zildjian is a little disorienting :) Not so much because of the brand, but because he's not playing his signature Trash Crash and Pang Thang which he used even when he was with Bosphorus.

    Need help. What is that Yamaha RC with the JR logo on the kick drum? Who is JR? John Robinson? Is that an old satin sunburst? Is it Sunset Brown?

    Great drums, awesome dealer, perfect celebrity to endorse.
    Sad he didn’t go into the sizes or what he thought of the sound quality of each one.
    While it’s great to have someone with Stanton’s clout to say how much he loves it, that’s not enough to sell it to me.

  • @seppoinnanen5577

    This time, I pressed "like" just because of the performance. The drums sound good, but for the money they cost...
    Still not fan of the Zildjians, the smaller cymbal and hihats sounded decent, but the Kerope ride, a bit weird combination of overtones. Ok, just my opinion

  • @Bcwilderness
    @Bcwilderness 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    cool but dont need to pummel the snare as the drums paled to the velocity, cymbals are spot on lovely

  • @officialthetubeofyou

    Does anyone think the room mic has a lot more dynamic? The full mix just killed the touch of the great Stanton Moore, especially the dynamic between the ghost notes and accents on the snare. Just my 2cents.

    • @drumcenternh
      @drumcenternh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Naturally mics further away will capture more dynamic range. Thanks for watching!

      @Cheung Ho Yin
      That's what naturally happens when you add more mics to a kit, each at a different distances to each source of sound. You end up with lots of phase anomalies and cancellations that kill the transients and dynamics. The most realistic and dynamic drum recordings you'll hear are using just a single mic or an equi-distant stereo pair...Blumlein, Coincident X/Y, or OTRF, etc.

    • @officialthetubeofyou

      Well, I can agree that the PRICE for it is "No Joke"! :-P Good sounding drums under your mics, but I thought that even my Sakae PAC-D kit that I got from you was a bit expensive for what it is.
      They are great drums, and I have heaps of fun playing them, but just feel like the prices for most of the "good", "small club" drum kits these days are getting a bit ridiculous. They ain't Stradivarii, people!... just an analogy, don't get your panties in a bunch! ;-)
      I've paid serious money for "high-end" kits multiple times in the past (I still have and play very nice Broadkaster & Tama Star kits), and I believe that you usually get what you pay for (not always in terms of absolute sound quality, but at least in terms of hardware & construction/finish quality), so I'm not opposed to spending good money on a quality kit.
      But the prices for some of these mini 3-piece "cocktail" kits that require half of the raw materials & hardware to produce compared to standard kits is just silly. As Martin Short once said in a movie I've forgotten the title of, "Well, it's a Profit Organization". LOL

    • @UPdan
      @UPdan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The nice part of these kits is you can add drums , different percussion instruments and have that little extra room for ease of use for all the add ons. I’m using a TAMA Jam Flyer mixed with bongos mounted on separate stands, a mini conga mounted on separate stand, wind chimes, 3 pearl wood blocks, 2 cowbells, an Udu drum mounted on a snare stand while sitting on a cart rubber tire, and various cymbals plus 2 more toms and a 14” by 8” snare. All, I repeat all very comfortable without needing to contort the human body in playing. These Gretsch sound great.

      @@colmanburks5583 The comment was made from observation. "you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about in the slightest" seems rather unusual for you to come to me and reply with an intent to insult just because I perhaps, made a comment that had bothered you because you are fond of the drummer, which I understand. But I don't think your reply is logically coherant as I was merely making a statement of his personality, and what makes someone "annoying" is subjective. Or perhaps you thought I was insulting his drumming for some reason?
      I would like to hear your answer, it is for my psychology report at uni thanks.
