Great review. Thank you for the internal measurements. I was looking for a countertop oven to help with cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I was spoiled having two ovens at my old house. Now time management gets to be hard with one.
I have found, in every single Smart Ninja(s) models I have which have the BI probe, they run 10-15+ degrees off. I always make mental note of that and adjust it accordingly by using Manuel temp setting. When using the Presets, I do as you did and run a manual temp check when timer runs out. Also, I have noted most, if not all, of the Chicken presets are set for 170F internal temp. I am not sure why Ninja selected 170F rather than the usual 165F or even 160F (factor in 5-min Rest).
Im shopping air fryers and since youve used this one and the previous model, is there a major difference between how well they work? Trying to decide if the higher price tag would be justified and your opinion would be appreciated, Thanks
Wow, best in dept review. The Ninja dt551 dimension is the same as Cosori ceramic oven cco-r251-sus. The ninja display looks nicer, but Cosori's heating pad elements is still second to none: ez to clean since its flat, put a pan on it and you can use it as a stove top burner for frying. I'll stick with Cosori. Thank you so much.
@@WaveOvenRecipes I'm watching again, you said (7:30) ninja length is a "little over 16" Cosori ceramic length is 16.5. (7:58) ninja height is "under 13.5" the Cosori height is 12.4. The cosori fit 14" x 11.75" baking pan and 12" pizza, 9 slice of toast. Ninja fits 13" x9" quarter pan and also 12" pizza, no?
@@WaveOvenRecipes ok I just went on ninja website and saw their baking tray is 13.46” D x 14.8” W x 1.00” H. So ninja tray is bigger than Cosori 14" x 11.75" so then it might fit 13" pizza while cosori fit 12" but then the advertisement said 12" pizza. ninja can do 12 lb turkey while Cosori can do 5 lb chicken. is that what u mean by bigger?
So, you recognize even for pan width the Ninja is larger. And you still have not considered interior height overall. Really the back and forth is not worth it for me. I am not an investor in these companies.. This is easy, the Ninja is *much* larger. Have a good night.
@@WaveOvenRecipes WI retire as an executive chef, you sou vide it 155 degree for med well and then sear it in that oven for1 minute on each side at 450 degrees, I compromise, i'm never to busy matching my recipes entrees with any of my coking appliance.
Hey Ive been on the hunt for a non toxic stainless steel air fryer that does it all. I find your videos very informative. After doing tons of looking around I decided I cant go cheap with an air fryer cause i know its something ill use every day… have you reviewed the breville oven air fryer pro? Ive seen so many good things about it but your opinion would probably make me go through with the purchase 😂😅 400$ isnt something I want to spend but if you think its worth it i just might 👀
I have been searching high and low over the past few weeks for a real good comparative analysis of the foodie XL and the prestige XL. Spending so much time on a comparison of only size didn't help much. I sure would love to see a video on the differences and functionality between the dt200 and the dt500 series. Not just the minuscule differences in size.
See my full review of the Foodi XL. You can consider what I explained there versus what was presented to you in this latest video. Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven: th-cam.com/play/PLdwaKyfn2J3qA2qb49tt5n1RNPX8U5KPY.html
See the video description for the model number. There is no need to remove the heating elements. If they get dirty, you can either use a brush. Or, the debris will burn off on its own. I have reviewed nearly 100 of these things. And literally never had a need to remove the heating elements.
With dehydration, the outside likely won't be an issue. Since the temperature being used is so low. But, these days it is rare a cooker not have exterior heat. You can check these reviews for another: Cooker Reviews: th-cam.com/play/PLdwaKyfn2J3r48IqHRsTGKzzLg_fDlwzK.html

Thanks for the review. I noticed that although you had 2 slices of bread, it was set for 4 slices. Is there a setting for 2 slices?
There is, my homemade bread is larger and far more resilient than store bread. So, I use different settings.
Some ovens holding down the temp up down buttons at the same time switches between temps
Just tried, that works!

Quick question. Can I set the manual temp down to 95 degrees? I want to buy a unit that has the ability to proof my breads. Thanks so much!

Have you cook with a sou vide yet?? I love cooking with mine.

If I was doing reviews before so many other options came out. I probably would have covered it. But at this point.....🤔
Is this better than the Gourmia xl?

First comment. Thanks for the review
You're welcome.
If the outside heats up... not for us...Ninja needs to find a solution to make it safer... it gets too hot. Dehydrator was the main attraction.

yeah, and the display is prettier I think so I'm going back to my Cosori ceramic oven
Por lo visto son iguales las prestaciones, quizas mejoraron el display y botones de control mas las funciones de la sonda.

need to learn how to use tape measure
I am not a carpenter and I show my work. So, you can see and determine for yourself. Have a nice day.
@@WaveOvenRecipes you don't have to be carpenter to know how to use a tape measure
