The baking rack IS NOT non-stick. I found that out when I bought the original Foodi XL (original oven). They DO sell no-stick versions which I think for the cost of this unit they should be providing in the box already. These new versions still don't have a grease filter for the fan...you'll find out how bad that is as you use this and can't clean the fan grill and fan. They originally released the first Foodi XL's with a grease filter then dropped it. Seems they still didn't address how difficult it is to clean these ovens, you'll find out same issues it seems exist on this newer version. Overall, it looks like the same unit as the Foodi XL but with gray handle and white digits instead of black handle and blue digits. I had hoped they would upgrade the unit and improve on cleaning issues, seems not the case.
So funny that you put this out yesterday and I am in the market for one of these today. Was curious why you decided on the 501 rather than the 551. The latter seems to come with a built-in thermometer (they call it 'smart cook') for $20 more.
I’m so glad to see that you reviewed this. Can’t wait to see it in action. ❤
