We had a Ninja Foodi 8 in 1 and my teenagers loved to use it to cook for one whenever they felt snacky. My only complaint was that the top was so close to the food when it was cooking and got really messy. After two years of extensive use, the instrument panel started going out and getting glitchy. We could have gotten another one really cheap, but we decided to get this one instead. I'm expecting the same issue with the top unit of this one, so I'm going to restrict them to only using the top for dryer foods, like toast, bagels, cookies etc. They mainly use the air fryer function anyway, and I thought this would give them more space and that the bottom unit of this would be easier to clean than the top.
Thank you, your review is just what I was looking for. Now I just need to decide if I need the extra capacity of the single oven version or if the convenience of the double oven is the best choice for one person.
I got my ninja about a month ago and I am so elated and I bought it on sale it was on sale at Kohl's for $249 and then I got my senior discount a 15% plus I got an additional 20% off because I applied for a Kohl's card. And I had never shopped at Kohl's before but when I walked out the door I paid $171 and change for the entire ninja double oven. I also when I went back to shop at Kohl's because they also gave me a $30 gift certificate on top of everything else. And I was shopping in the clearance items and I thought that I was going to pay the clearance price but when I got up on the day that I was shopping it was 50% off all clearance items so that was a super deal I can't wait to get back to Kohl's because I really enjoyed shopping there.
Thanks for the video! Very informative. I really liked that you used foods that we really cook. One thing though; the Pizza button is for the bottom oven, from what I can tell. I like the crust of my pizza to be evenly browned across the whole thing. With the heating elements being tubes in the top; how does cooking a pizza in the top versus in the bottom using the Pizza button compare?
Hi. Thanks for watching. The Ninja ovens cooks a frozen pizzas as well as my oven except for the bottom crusts. I find convention ovens to overly cook the crusts but I am the type who drives an hour for good pizza. I also did not see a big difference between using top or bottom because of exactly what you wrote, the heat element is on top. With that said, I would not use it for baking a fresh pizza with fresh dough and the best way I have found to cook any pizza at home is to use a pizza stone.
Hi I am testing the combi now for 3 weeks with review coming asap. The combi is very different than the double oven or any oven. You can really use steam more on the combi.
For anyone that has had this over for quite awhile, has it been pretty easy to clean? How often do you clean it? And what products do you use to clean it? Asking this because I have has issue with my current air fryer, which is an Instant Pot w/fryer lid, the lodge has been super hard to clean. I also noticed that your single oven in the video looks a bit discolored. Thanks
Could you butter fly a whole chicken to cook on broil pan while cooking frys and vegtables or potato on basket and cooking biscuits in top oven. Whole meal in one unite
Is it possible to use a loaf pan in the bottom oven to bake something like banana bread? I’m thinking a yeast bread might rise too high, unless smaller loaves are made. Or maybe a smaller freeform loaf on the baking sheet? Thanks!
thank you for the review. i'll stick with the single oven. the pans i have won't fit in the double. not to mention the dehydrating and other racks used in the single. is the inside better? the inside walls of the single should have been stainless steel. it's really finicky what it's cleaned with.
hi! yes you could but you would be better served by the NINJA Combi then. I have the combi and whenever I want to make chicken + fries, fish + rice, frozen food + carb, it is as good as cooking both dishes on their own. The smart double oven is better for larger meals or multiple dishes.
We own several Ninja products and would like to give our honest review about the new Ninja Double Oven. Many negatives. 1. Too overpriced! This is unaffordable!!!! ☹️☹️☹️☹️ 2. Bottom door should have independent handle for opening. 3. Slanted door because the handle is too thick! 4. Only one crumb tray is dumb, Should come with 2 crumb trays. If Ninja comes up with a Ninja Smart Double Oven v2.0 and fix all these issues (especially lowering the price point), we might reconsider it. As of now, this product is NOT recommended.
To be fair, I think you need to compare the price of the Ninja to the Breville. Both have very comparable verified purchase reviews. I'm planning buying a Ninja because it doesn't use Teflon, which is toxic (regardless of what claims Breville or various parroted reviews say). I just need to decide which model to buy.
Thank you Sir ! Been longing for this review comparing both

something to consider is the larger oven performs more like a commercial convection oven due to its rear fan
Question for anyone who already has one of these. How long can you set the timer for, if you are going to use it for dehydration?

@@TheFrenchGlow Thank you!
i think single BIGGER one is better ...is Bigger capacity & dose the same shyt the top one dose & u can do it in Bottom too
Do you have a comparison between this and rhe Combi? I have the Double Oven but im debating adding the Combi too.

@@TheFrenchGlow Awesome, looking forward to the new video!

Yes mine came with a square baking pan. It can't hold a 13x9 its can take 12x12 but that is it. Oven is deeper than wider
Can you other pans inside ?
Hi! Small stainless or cast iron pan could fit. But not a 10" and up.

me 2, u getting Bigger space on top & got wider roomer Oven , that one clean up is a f*n nightmare
Can I air fry French fries on the bottom and broil a single chicken breast on top?

Thanks for sharing. Regarding price,as of Nov 11, 2023, the double oven should be closer to $200 when its sale as the dt251 are already $200.
