    Great stuff. The crazy thing is that the crosswind component shouldn’t be ignored like in your example. It will create friction losses too.
    The single most important factor for vehicles at highway speeds and above is wind resistance. Almost all of the other factors can be ignored in modern cars at or above highway speeds.

    Bicyclists know all about wind resistance. A 5 mph headwind over 8 hours of pedaling, is a total butt kicker.

    5:50 Why is the relative air speed cubed in the line with the numbers plugged in, but just squared in the formula?

    Air resistance is why I want a lowered sedan, I've seen on the Jetta forums guys getting 30mpg over 90 mph
