    Even I lived in a basement suite when I was in Vancouver. This video has taken my memories to the basement where I lived. Good that you guys got your own laundry. I think it is a wise decision to move into a basement house as things are damn expensive. You have maintained your apartment with utmost cleanliness.

    We have lived in a basement apartment in Ontario for nearly 13 years. We got it when rent was super cheap. Rent in Toronto has shot up in the last 13 years and we can’t afford to move anywhere else. We have made the best of our basement apartment. The house doesn’t have central heating because both the main floor and basement are rented out so the house has baseboard electric heaters so we don’t have to worry about the cold. I wish we had AC though for the heat waves we have here. It can get pretty hot. We run a dehumidifier during summer and humidity during winter to keep humidity at 50% to prevent dampness and mold. We didn’t have a dishwasher included either but we bought a portable one that we can connect to the kitchen sink faucet and it has worked well.

    Very neat, clean and organized house, how much rent you need to spend for this ? I'm planning to move to Canada, being a single person, I won't be needing that precious house.

    How is the life in Basement in Winter? Specially about the ventilation in winter.

    • @rightturntocanada7958
      @rightturntocanada7958  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ventilation is not that bad. The major problem is it’s colder than the rest of the house and you don’t have the control.
      When it is snowing, you will have to spend most of the time at home so it can be a bit depressing.
      Try for walkout basement which is almost same as ground floor.

    If a basemnet @ Cads 1300 is like this, then i hope for a bit i will be having @900 in Edmonton. No idea yet, whether the basements gonna be same in Edmonton like Toronto. I am pretty well excited after watching this video. Earlier i was tensed to hear that i have to accommodate my slef in a basement appartment during Quarantine.
