the length of their songs is worth noting, and it was much to their dismay that they weren't considered so much a band of great 7" radio-friendly singles with terrific original "pop" hooks. They didn't get the radio play that they should've (perhaps considered too complex or sophisticated), even though they had great album sales and huge concerts. They were really the Lennon/McCartney of their time, but didn't have that same radio "pop" success. But their music is forever!
Great to watch your enthusiasm Wally. Try William it was really nothing or The boy with a thorn in his side. Greetings from Manchester, love your reaction videos.
Hey Graham ! Thanks for your comment my friend !!! Glad you like my Manchester Wednesdays ! Sucks That Man City lost to Chelsea !! I already did "boy with a thorn in his side" check it out ! Have a great day !
Wally's Crib hey Wally on the contrary my friend I support Manchester United so am delighted Chelsea won! I love your countrymen Eric Cantona and Patrice Evra both like you very enthusiastic! Another 2 top Manchester bands are Happy Mondays and Simply Red. A new Promising band is the Slow Readers Club! But no-one in the world can touch the Smiths. 10minutes ago I drove past Morrisseys home in Manchester where he wrote the lyrics and also past the famous iron bridge mentioned in the song Ask! Keep those reviews need more Midweek Manchester Smiths!!! Love it!!!
Morrissey has referred to the smiths themselves as his girlfriend. This song is a late smiths song, written as tensions between Morrissey and Marr were reaching breaking point. The whole song is a metaphor for the break up of the band. It all makes sense when seen in that light
Morrissey is in a class of his own. He's brilliant. I enjoyed your reaction. 🙂
Every time Morrissey sings Do you think she’ll really pull through I almost spit my drink. This song is hilarious.
❤❤❤❤

Next up do 'Barbarism Begins at Home'. Preferably a live version. Another Smiths take on pain and suffering.
Suedehead is my favourite Smiths track about Morrissey's hero James Dean
It’s not a smiths track
Try There's a Light That Never Goes Out, if you haven't already. Great reaction man.
Already done it my friend...Was amazing btw !!

Interesting interpretation but your wrong about it the girlfriend being a metaphor for the smiths.
This song is just dark humour, Morrisey liked having a sarcastic humourous tone sometimes in his lyricism, theirs no deep meaning to it
No not you.be pretty dear,
