When she talks about dieting, I’m like OMG that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking for the past two months!!!!!!!! I started to work out and spend extra money and effort on my skin. As I kind of glowed up in the way I wanted, surprisingly I wasn’t content at all. I kind of felt like I did this because I didn’t want people to come to me and judge my weight and acne anymore. I thought getting prettier would make me happy but I was thinking this whole thing to myself and my friends were just like, they don’t get me and think I’m wasting my time. Yes! last December I started a workout challenge, changed my diet, did all the "glow-up"... I lost like 4 kg, my belly started to get a bit more plain and even then I felt AWFUL. Just horrible about me, my anxiety went off the charts... when the holidays came around, I dropped it, gained the weight I had before and changed my exercise back to yoga (which main focus isn't losing weight), let my acne rest and I felt a lot better. I was changing myself so others wouldn't judge me too, but I didn't think about what I wanted. I love this body the way it is, it's not perfect but it's healthy, and that's all I want
Yeah, I started going to the gym because I felt like I needed to rather than wanting to and now it's an uncomfortable place for me :/. I'm trying to break the association in my head so I can go back there when I want to use it as a tool for myself.

Lola Montez she is naturally slim yes, she has good genes yes, but she also has a sister who has had an eating disorder for years. She is also watched closely by 2 million people every week. Just because she has a ‘perfect body’ doesn’t mean she isn’t allowed to struggle with food and health. Of course she’s going to show us the good things and not the challenges or the tears or the self hate. She said that she’s only really now comfortable with her body but that she struggled a lot in the past and THATS OK. You can be past the worst of your struggles but still discuss them with others, especially when you have such an influential relationship. I know for me, she’s helping me not hate myself and my own eating struggles. I don’t have an eating disorder but I have a terrible relationship with food and hearing her occasional struggles and progress have really helped me.
Lola Montez I chose to see the good in people and what I have seen by following her channel for months/years is that she is genuine. Sure, some of it might be fabricated or lies to make her ‘more relatable’ but that doesn’t change the fact that when she does talk about these things, she does so in a way that helps people. What have you done to help people? She might not be fat. She might have never been fat or overweight or too big to fit in her clothes, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t struggled. She’s admitting numerous times to counting calories and doing diets and restricting herself and that is a bad relationship with food. She’s not ever saying that she is fat because she isn’t, she’s just saying that she has a bad relationship with food and that she’s, trying to and succeeding in, getting better. By ignoring that aspect, are you saying that people with anorexia or bullemia aren’t stuggling with food or “shouldn’t talk about having ‘issues’” because they are ‘skinny’? Being slim isn’t the be all and end all! Being slim is NOT the ‘health goal’! You can have eating problems, eating disorders or a negative relationship with food no matter your size!

I love ashley but talking about how we shouldn't care about what society tells us about dieting or that we should just accept the way we are when she's that skinny seems pretty hypocritical to me ngl
Lola Montez she is naturally slim yes, she has good genes yes, but she also has a sister who has had an eating disorder for years. She is also watched closely by 2 million people every week.
Just because she has a ‘perfect body’ doesn’t mean she isn’t allowed to struggle with food and health. Of course she’s going to show us the good things and not the challenges or the tears or the self hate. She said that she’s only really now comfortable with her body but that she struggled a lot in the past and THATS OK. You can be past the worst of your struggles but still discuss them with others, especially when you have such an influential relationship. I know for me, she’s helping me not hate myself and my own eating struggles. I don’t have an eating disorder but I have a terrible relationship with food and hearing her occasional struggles and progress have really helped me.
Lola Montez I chose to see the good in people and what I have seen by following her channel for months/years is that she is genuine. Sure, some of it might be fabricated or lies to make her ‘more relatable’ but that doesn’t change the fact that when she does talk about these things, she does so in a way that helps people. What have you done to help people?
She might not be fat. She might have never been fat or overweight or too big to fit in her clothes, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t struggled. She’s admitting numerous times to counting calories and doing diets and restricting herself and that is a bad relationship with food. She’s not ever saying that she is fat because she isn’t, she’s just saying that she has a bad relationship with food and that she’s, trying to and succeeding in, getting better.
By ignoring that aspect, are you saying that people with anorexia or bullemia aren’t stuggling with food or “shouldn’t talk about having ‘issues’” because they are ‘skinny’?
Being slim isn’t the be all and end all! Being slim is NOT the ‘health goal’!
You can have eating problems, eating disorders or a negative relationship with food no matter your size!

I've watched this video like 20 times and every time I watch it I listen to Ashley's commentary on the jewelry stems/quality and I'm always so hype bc I worked in jewelry for 7 years (parents owned a 100yr+ old shop) and it was always such a struggle to explain to teenagers/young adults why the minor details matter n it makes me so happy to know that your jewelry is being held to such good standards ! 😁 we Stan a quality queen !
