I bought a used GE set off of Facebook Marketplace and it was working great for about month. this morning it wouldn't empty the water, wouldn't agitate, would spin. I watched your video and opened my washer up. Lots of clothing from previous owner and a towel wrapped around the belt. The belt was fine. Removed everything and it's working great. I'm a 60 yr old lady and I fixed my washing machine!
Thanks so much for posting this! My wife and I used this video to solve our own problem which was exactly the same as what you showed, down to the missing socks in the front of the barrel. My wife says “bless you!” from the bottom of her heart. We were fixing to drive to Lowes for a new belt!
Years ago my husband was deployed. My washer pooped out . I had no money to pay a repair man . I googled and discovered although my washer was advertised filterless it did have a filter they just screwed it in behind the panel so you would have to pay a repair technician if you didn’t know . Again I’m in a similar situation and you have saved the day
Thanks sir!! It’s videos like these on YT that should get a million views. You saved us so much money and time!! We were right back in business!! A million thank you’s to you!!! 🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you!!! Our clothes were coming out soaking wet in the washer, and there was no water pooling / it was not the drain hose. So I opened her up and found a bunch of socks and the belt fell off. I was trying to put the belt on without any luck. Googled it and found your video. Just took a few minute after that, thank you again!
@@gospelman76 yeah, man! I ALWAYS investigate for myself before calling someone. I almost always end up fixing it myself too. It helps to have folks like you that share your experiences freely. Thanks again!
Mines went out last week, yours is the first video i found and ill give it a try. Thanks because i was about to lease one from Aarons now hopefully i wont have to. Thank you kindly
So, I'm running it while I have it open. (Yes I unplugged it to check belt). It took a long time to come out of lock mode, then after 5 minutes it pretends to be washing yet I have nothing in it. I opened the lid and the sound does not fit the action! There's no action. Just making the spinning sound 😮. So what could that be??
Great video. Funny and intuitive. I found all that amount of clothes on the bottom as well. A thong was wrapped around the bottom of the tub spindle. Great stuff. Thank you.
*bows down* thank you!!! You are a godsend. I have the same exact stackable, and I googled “GE stackable belt fell off” 😂 and your video popped up. Thank you so much!!
Woooo thank you for this video also my belt was not as easy as you made it look my hands are scratched up and it took me almost an hour o finally get that belt on ahahahaha
Thanks so much. Opened up, had just as many socks in there. Might not have changed the belt cuz it was real tight, but did it, and didn't cut myself. Thanks!
I think we have the same issue on this POS washer/dryer combo. Previous owner got it. Hated it since day 1. Finally washer broke and I believe it's the spin cycle aka belt.
@@gospelman76wasn’t the belt. Wasn’t the thermal actuator I also replaced. Wasn’t anything until my last attempt. Took apart drainage pump. There was a sock completely stuck in it. It was preventing the spin cycle because the washer was too full of water. And it was too full of water because it wouldn’t drain. Ended up buying a wet vac and a new pump. Decided to not replace pump. Now clothes are nearly dry after spin cycle. Have no idea how long that pump was clogged. Thanks!
Thanks again brother. I should have watched before prying at the sides, but came off easy once I got those clips. Socks everywhere and belt on the floor. TY
I ended up doing this cause of how much the repair people told me it would be for them to come to house and then how much it would be to fix it. Crazy!! And all I had to do was put the belt back on. 😂
If you can avoid it don't buy a stackable. Our belt comes off a lot. Repair man said stackable ares known for this because the transmission will leak oil. And boy does it
@@gospelman76 me too then I found out the front comes off and pushed everything back lol and was like why didn’t i just hit the fuse box? My belt just got here from Amazon
im only 12 but this video helped me fix my moms washer before she woke up for mothers day thank you much love.
Praise the Lord!! That’s a great Mother’s Day gift. Good work!! You’re welcome 😇

This guy just saved me a bunch of hassel! The video was consice, short and very helpful!!
😂so glad it helped cause the repair wanted to charge me $100 just to come look at it. 🤦 😊
you rock!!! I just did this with mine and didn't even realize the belt had fallen off until I checked - thanks so much!
You’re welcome. Thanks for your encouragement.
Thank you man. You saved me from having to do laundry at the in-laws again. This worked for my model gud27gssjowwn as well

You’re welcome. I was messing around, but did not want to pay $100 plus just for them to come tell me what was wrong with it.
Thank You! I was about to buy new socks, opened the washer up after it stopped working and bam, 8 pairs of socks!

I had the same thing happen to me. My belt was spilt though. Still an easy fix... Thanks for sharing!
Crazy how much they charge to find out it’s the belt.

Ours just popped too. Surely it's not from wife overloading it all the time. I'll get it fixed. All praises to the most high!
😂 definitely think over loading makes this happen. HALLELUJAH!
Brilliant! same exact problem ... even found about 20 socks! Thanks!
And I was just playing around

Keep me updated, as to whether it works or not.
Unfortunately, my belt is still on. So I suppose my machine is just played out. I've had it since after Harvey.
And ... I also found socks inside and wondering how that happened 😅

The backet wasn't spinning at all. I don't want to add clothes just to have to go to laundry mat to finish them. Sigh 😞😔

Wifey overloading machine trying to get it all done at once does that. It goes out when spinning

I love this demo!!! Clear concise. But I can’t get the belt on. Zero stretch Still struggling 😢
Did you try starting from the back?😊
Thanks for the video! Just got done putting my belt back on.

Good man.
Happy New Year and thank you!

Anyone opening the front panel….leave it open and run it first before you put the panel back on. If everything is ok, then close it. 👍🏾
Good advice

The repair people tried to charge too much. You’re welcome.
Thanks for the video.it told me exactly what I needed to fix mine.

Make sure you unplug the machine first!
Man!!!! My happen the same. As a woman the repair guys really think you are stupid. THANK YOU. I also found clothes. lol

Those tracks in the pulley are supposed to match up with the one on the belt. Just needed to shift it up one. Good video.
Thanks 😊
thank you so much

Thanks.
I had the exact problem with the same machine.
Did you take it apart
Thanks man!

Mr. Gospel Man when I press the start and pause button my same stackable washer won't start only dryer start what can cause the machine to fail?
😅I'm trying so hard to get the belt back on mine !!!
Did you get it?
Tried for about an hour but simply can’t get it on. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
Thank you!! 👑
You’re welcome 😇
Link to where to buy the belt
Don’t know where to buy belt.
Probably Lowe’s or Home Depot
I’m looking to purchase this same unit. How does it connect within your apartment
If you can avoid it don't buy a stackable. Our belt comes off a lot. Repair man said stackable ares known for this because the transmission will leak oil. And boy does it
One plug like a dryer. 3 or 4 prong
Man thank you
You’re welcome 😇
To avoid unplugging it just turn the fuse to the washer off. Mine is separate I assume everyone else has the same way.
Never thought of that. I moved it and unplugged it.
@@gospelman76 me too then I found out the front comes off and pushed everything back lol and was like why didn’t i just hit the fuse box?

Thanks
Thanks bro was trying to put the back on first it worked Thanks so much

Use cut resistant gloves.
Too bad you can’t use a zip tie as a third hand like basically all the older models
Tiny space to work
I’m having this issue but mine won’t spin or drain ,
was the band off the bottom pulley
Stop overfilling the machine with clothes. Thats how you get clothes at the bottom. Lol
😂gotta yell at the kids again 😂
