  • 'Lying To Michael Jackson' starring Rowan Atkinson as Martin Bashir, and Lenny Henry as Michael Jackson. Jonathan Ross Comic Relief Show, BBC, 2003. Raising money for Red Nose.
    Note: This upload is not intended to insult Michael Jackson in any way. This sketch does at least acknowledge the fact Martin Bashir was lying to Michael Jackson about making an honest documentary. Bashir praised Jackson off camera for his humanitarian efforts at Neverland and his way of parenting. In 'Living with Michael Jackson' Bashir made it look like Jackson was a danger to children by focusing on his eccentricities and adding suggestive voice overs.

    I'm one of the biggest MJ fans and I find this to be a fairly tasteful skit. It showed the fact that Bashir tricked MJ into making a scandalous documentary, and it didn't go too far on the MJ jokes.
    You have to remember, this was 2003 and it was when everything hit the fan for MJ, so this could have been alot more disrespectful. Also Mike had no hard feelings, he met with Rowan after this video was made.

Imagine being so naive that you happily swallow every last drop of fecal matter that the media spoon feeds you.

    • @AlexTommo
      @AlexTommo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      @@Monochr0meMan Just because it's incredibly graphic and detailed doesn't make it fact. Are you telling me that despite being in his 20s, Wade never thought what Michael supposedly did was deemed as abuse? It was only when he reached his mid 30s he suddenly realised it was wrong. Coincidentally, just before the statute of limitations was about to come into effect and he was also broke. What about Safechuck's mother? Stated that she cheered and danced or whatever, when heard of Michael's passing. But Safechuck didn't reveal any of the abuse until much later. Or how he told he was abused in the train station at a time when it didn't exist.
      As for preferring boys? When I was young, most of my friends were boys as well. Doesn't mean anything.
      Also I'm not a die hard, life long MJ fan. Only in recent times have I come to appreciate his music. After Leaving NeverHappened.

    • @AlexTommo
      @AlexTommo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      @@Monochr0meMan Is it also common for abuse victims to claim that they didn't come forward because they didn't want to ruin the accused's family and orphan their children etc, then to change their story and claim they didn't come forward because they were threatened by representives of the accused, and then finally change their story once again to "I didn't know it was abuse" to comply with their agenda?
      Wade's different stories massively contradict each other. Not one but two stories indicate Wade having knowledge of inappropriate behaviour and the other doesn't.
      I don't emphasise with these guys because they are known liars who changed their stories on multiple occasions.
      Michael never had the childhood that normal boys do. He never got to experience all the stuff most boys do at the age he was when instead he was performing night after night. The purpose of Neverland was so he could have those experiences.
      As for sharing his bed, it wasn't just Wade/James, family members (parents, sisters etc) had access to Michael's room as well.
      Yes, that makes him an unorthodox person and naive to an extent where his motives were always likely to come under scrutiny but it doesn't make him a paedophile. If anything it gives false accusers a huge running start on a platform to make these allegations because so many will believe it as he was friends with young boys.
      I agree that there are people out there who would stand by and blindly support Michael even if he was found guilty with conclusively evidence, which is terrible.
      But there is no evidence. There are one-sided allegations that Dan Reed didn't bother to scrutinize and check. He just took the allegations at face value and was satisfied with that. FBI looked into Jackson for 10 years and found nothing. There is no evidence supporting the allegations against Jackson and there is a monunental amount of evidence supporting his innocence.

    • @AlexTommo
      @AlexTommo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      @@Monochr0meMan The reason for them changing their stories still contradicts their latest one. "I didn't' know it was abuse." They still stated in their previous allegations that they were aware of improper behavior but defended him because of the aforementioned reasons. The reason that they are now claiming ignorance is because this resets the statute of limitations, otherwise they would not have a leg to stand on in regards to charging the Jackson estate. With regards to suing a "megastar", surely it would have been possible to make allegations to the police anonymously, rather than going for money. Which is pretty much what every accusers motive was. In fact, of all the boys that Michael spent time with, it was the only 2 who find themselves in financial difficulty that have decided to come forward. Everyone else has defended him, including Macaulay and Brett Barnes who were included in the documentary without their consent.
      In regards to sleeping with boys, Michael never admitted to sleeping in bed with boys, he said the boys slept in the bed and that he himself slept on the floor. It's all blown out of proportion. Lots of kids slept in his room, but little is said about his room being the size of a house with different beds and several bathrooms etc. He admitted that he never thought of it as inappropriate because that's how he was raised. Also, it wasn't just boys in his room, Caroline Fristedt and Jenny Winings to name a couple.
      Jordan Chandler had adamantly and repeatedly stated that nothing ever happened to him, it was until his father, Evan Chandler dosed him with sodium amytal to make him suggestible. He was effectively brainwashed into accusing Michael of molestation. He claimed he could describe Michael's penis, which lead to Michael receiving a body warrant where he was subjected to humiliation. The descriptions didn't match. It was all Evan, he wanted money. Even when he tried to keep custody of Jordan, he never told the court he believed his son was getting molested. He withheld everything in order to get $20 million from Jackson in a civil case. Michael only settled because the civil case was due before his criminal case. In which his defense for the criminal case would have been revealed.
      La Toya was blackmailed by Jack Gordon to testify against Michael, previously she had supported him. During an interview, the host said he could see someone backstage prompting her when the cameras weren't on.
      Jackson's eccentricities come down to his childhood and his beliefs. He had no childhood, his father was abusive. He wanted to give children all the experiences that he was denied. It was his belief that children were pure, and innocent and that if we were all child-like then the world would be a better place. From a psychological point of view, Jackson's behavior and love of children does not represent a mindset of a paedophile.
      And if Joe Schmoe had a similar upbringing to Michael, if he donated millions to charities and made several visits to sick children in hospitals to try his best to fulfill them a childhood that he never got himself. I would probably give him the benefit of the doubt as well. Especially if there were a ton of evidence supporting his innocence.

      ✍️You & your followers shall be burnt in hell for your giant lie concerning the innocent king of pop & greatest humanitarian Michael Jackson! But let me tell you the truth & then check the link below! ✍️In the summer of 1993 Evan Chandler accused Michael Jackson of sexually abusing his 13-year-old-son, Jordan”Jordy” Chandler. But after many investigations ,the investigators knew and proved that Michael Jackson was innocent of the accusation and that Every awful~thing which was said about Michael was just a lie! ✍️{The Real Michael Jackson❤️}📝 Sadly,the media never spoke of the wonderful things Michael did. They tried to portray him as weird and strange,and too many people believed everything they said.
      Michael was one of the kindest,most caring people you could ever meet.
      He was a greatest humanitarian who had a very loving,humble,helping,
      innocent,,Christ-like,child-like heart who loved and helped many children and many people over the world who were sick,disabled and needy!. In 1985 Michael Jackson wrote the hit song,”We are the world,” raising almost $70 million to help combat famine in Africa like Ethiopia and so~on. He held an art auction to raise $2million to provide assistance to needy families in South Africa. And the heal world foundation also received generous amounts. The AIDS(HIV) foundation also received $500,000 & “Families caring for families” was blessed with $5.5million.
      And after the terrorist attack of september 11,he helped raise $15 million with a self organized benefit concert. Michael Jackson helped and gave millions of dollars(generously)to various programs for Africa,Thailand,India,Poland,
      Romania,
      American Cancer Society, the AIDS project in Los Angeles,Child-help,Children’s institute, Dream-street kids,Dreams come true charity,
      Brotherhood crusade,
      schools,scholarship fund,Negro college fund,Angel food,Camp Ronald McDonald,community youth sports&Arts foundation and many,many more known and unknown charities. He spent his life trying to make this world a better place. He spread joy through his music, donated over 400 million dollars to charity and did as many visits to children’s hospitals and orphanages as he did concerts. Apart from concerts, Michael Jackson also donated his personal time and money. Who can match that!? Not even Donald Trump can! Michael❤️ was one of the kindest,most caring people you could ever meet. In 1993, Michael Jackson said to Oprah that his skin condition is due to a skin disease or a skin disorder called vitiligo,not bleaching. He used makeup to even out the skin tone . Michael Jackson specifically stated he did not want a white person to play him on Tv. He was proud of his race. He said,” I am a black American, I am proud to be a black American, I am proud of my race, I am proud of who I am, but the skin disease or skin disorder made my skin color whiter.”
      After he started becoming whiter,his nose looked a bit odd and the doctors advised him to reduce his nose width. Nose Jobs are very common in America, jews,specially like to do it.❤️✍️Michael Jockson’s songs like “black or white”, “human nature” can clearly answer the questions concerning his color,skin disorder,race ,& nature.
      ✍️It seems the racist media always likes to put down a successful black person.
      ✍️Michael Jackson- The greatest entertainer the world has ever seen.
      🤴The king of dance,

      innocent,Christ-like and child-like heart,

      No matter what people said about him or how many people took advantage of him he never stopped giving & spreading love !{L.O.V.E❤️}

Everyone knew Saville was a sexual deviant but he was protected. I think the whole overzealous pursuit of Rolf Harris and Cliff Richard was the BBC's way of showing that they are tough on pedophilic behaviour. I'm pleased Cliff was able to win his battle against them as it was outrageous what they did and have done to other celebrities. I think so many people have missed the point with this. Although they do target MJ as well (in fairness, he made himself an incredibly easy target, and he did and said many things that were ripe for satire/ridicule, no matter how much you wish to deny it), they are also making a larger point about how Bashir conned him with yellow journalism, which is apparent throughout even down to the title. Ultimately, I think this largely comes over on MJ's side. I see this as a parody of the programme that was aired, not necessarily of Michael Jackson, as pretty much all the gags are related to specific moments in the documentary.

If you are okay with your child sleeping with a grown man you hardly know, good for you. Most people aren't. And that's okay. Even though his desire to have sleepovers goes back to his childhood, it is still bizarre. If the old man with the peg leg down the street wanted to have sleepovers everybody would call him a weirdo. I believe he is innocent (I have done my research on his cases and everything you said I already know) and I know a thing or two about pedophiles and their psychology. Michael doesn't fit the bill. Michael ADMITTED he started the oxygen chamber and elephant man bones rumors, because like a little kid he thought it would be fun to pull a prank on the media. What is crazy is that then he expected the media to back off. He even said it in an interview. The interviewer asked him "You can't just expect them to back off after you have given him the right to talk bad about you." to which he replied "Of course you can." He was smart when it came to business and numbers but he was as naive as a child and he had a hard time understanding people. He trusted and forgave people easily. I am just saying that I would never let my kid sleep with a man or woman I hardly know. If Michael was my best friend and my daughter wanted to have a sleepover at his house, I would have no problem with it.

But when I think about his imperfections, I just feel sorry for him, because I know they were caused by extreme suffering. This and many other people seem to say "Oh, it's so hard being filthy rich." but just because someone's rich doesn't mean that they suddenly deserve child abuse and the human right to go outside or walk down the street without being torn to pieces by thousands of fans, constantly screamed at, taken pictures of. I think if you asked Michael, he probably would have traded most of his money to have a normal life.

    Wow Lenny Henry being funny... I miss the days when you could parody a sensitive subject without all the 'PC' gang making the world more miserable...

    I can't anymore stand reading comments about fans giving their admission "Literally" for such thing just cause they're "a FAN of Mike".
