Last year I unexpectedly met the ex-archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams and introduced him to my son and very, very nearly introduced him as Rowan Atkinson. He is a really nice guy.
The array of facial expressions he can pull off is astounding.

As a retired Anglican priest, I fell over laughing. What a treat! Do you suppose Rowan (Williams, that is) put Rowan (Atkinson, that is) up to it? I'd love to think so. If there's one thing the dear C of E is good at, it's self-deprecation. Very healthy. Only a deadly-serious fundamentalist could take offence. Very sad.

Rowan has had me in stitches for years. I would not want to ride in a lift with him. The doors would open. Rowan would get out . He would not have had to say a word, just use his expressions and gestures and I would be dead on the floor of the lift.

I love Rowan Atkinson and this is no exception. People need to chill, especially with everything else going on in the world.
Rowan Atkinson is most well known for a character called Mr Bean. He's also played Johnny English. He's very funny & very well known in the UK & he also featured in the Olympics opening ceremony in 2012.
Im a christian and this is funny. I am also a huge Rowan fan. I agree , God does have a splendid sence of humor. Rowan Atkinson is not going to burn in hell because of this. God loves everyone unless they kill someone or hurt children or anything along those lines. God doesnt condemn people to hell for taking the mick , my fellow Chrissies need to loosen up a bit. He was doing it for charity forgoodnesake! The money made from Rowan fans sending in ££ after seeing this has saved childrens lives! Comic Relief is celebrities going out of their way , FOR FREE , to raise money for needy people -and that my friends , is loving spitit. Good souled celebrities raising money so african children can have a clean drink.

How do you know God has a sense of humor? Seems to me that the man is quite stern and cruel who acts with the tendency to condemn all those who disobey him to eternal fire and damnation for acting out of their own free for refusing his Kingdom. So maybe your right, he does have a giggly spot in his black heart when he thinks of how his creation created in his own person is going to burn due to his own lovelingly prescribed gift of freedom and choice which is not really free at all but just a cruel joke on the part of this mad twat.
Um , Rowan isnt a mad twat. Dont be mean. And I do kind of agree with you that that is how the bible portrays him. But who says the bible is accurate? The bloomin book is over 1000 years old , do you really think nothing has changed lol? ;) allot changes in 1000 years. The bible was written in the manner it was because their was no Judicial system and no police. It was the only way to scare people into not breaking the law. God is real but he is nothing like he is said to be. And hell was just created to scare people in the days of no police , it is only a place for the sickeningly evil. Like Adolf Hitler , Jo Stalin , Jimmy Saville etc... No person like Rowan or yourself or myself would ever go their. Good people from all walms of life go to heaven. Good muslims , good Jews , good Sikhs. I am almost crtain that Rowan Atkinson and everyone I know and experience in my life have definately got nothing to worry about. They are destined for Heaven.
Good old cafetieria style faith. I don't like the idea of Hell, or Calvin's idea of Predestination, the Virgin Birth, Islamic Jihad ect. These books are either the word of God or they are not. I am Anglican, and this is just what some of our clergy are like. I love being Anglican, Church of England, open, free, liberal, but sometimes you do get tired of some clergy trying to be young, hip, modern.
