You made this 6 years ago yet it’s divinely meant for me right now! I hope the algorithm goes up for others who want to join because you articulate things very well! Thank you so much I can’t thank you enough ❤
So, I just commissioned from FSU, and I will be stationed in Altus,Ok as a force Support Officer. I am also a young African American woman and watching this video really inspired me. I have a lot of fears and worries about being a black female in the AF, and this video really spoke volumes to me and it’s pushing me to anticipate my Leave date. Thank you for this video and maybe I’ll cross paths with you into the big blue.
Amazing video!!! I love the way how you conducted yourself as a educated young lady and you spoke with enthusiasm that never wanes. Unfortunately, not many young people speak the way you do and separates you from everyone else. Keep on being the best leader the air force has and God bless you and your family!☺☺
Making me smile black queen! Have been doing lots of research and your the only black woman I can find who went straight in as officer after bachelors I’ve had so many questions and you’ve helped answer so many questions!! God bless you & Congrats to all your success I hope we can meet one day ❤
Thank you for making this video! I can tell you are a great leader and will continue to do well. You offered a great deal of advice I hope to take with me on my journey. Hopefully we will cross paths!
Love the video! I recently commissioned in the AF and will definitely be subscribing to your channel. I’m an introverted extrovert too 😅 but I’m excited and blessed for my new journey. God blessed!
I will say this, I appreciate your candor and self awareness. I think it's refreshing when someone of your stature is confident enough to share their insecurities. I subscribed!
Recently stumbled across your cruise video of the carnival magic because we are getting ready to sail on it and just had to subscribe. I just want to say congratulations on all your success but more specifically congratulations on being a black, female officer in the Air Force. My husband was sitting with me as I watched this video and we both think that you sound like a very great leader and definitely keep up your hard work. My husband will be hitting his 9 year mark and pinning on Major. I love how you said that you want to stay true to you. You gained a new subscriber and I look forward to seeing more updates. #blackgirlmagic
Dude, you are awesome. Thank you for the positivity, courage, and in general GOOD service and attitude! Keep on keeping on. We need more people like you in the military!
I wish there were a base in Billings MT just because there are a lot more stores it would be a lot easer to go to a hobby lobby or a Walmart and it is a little bit more diverse than Great Falls, but it is still a really small town (Montana as a whole is really small population wise compared to all the land we have) hope your still liking Montana tho 😁
I just found your videos and I’m so excited! I’m considering an AF career after I graduate and coming from a military family your perspective is SO helpful!!!
Great to see a young sister like yourself serving as an officer in the USAF. I wished that my alma mater, Northwestern State University of Louisiana would have Air Force ROTC during my time there.
So happy for you Soror!!!! And proud of you, moving away from what you are use to is not easy. I definitely commend you and my sister for doing that on your own! I can totally relate to the pros and cons of a small town. We lived in Ottumwa, IA for a little over 2 years. There were no good restaurants so that definitely challenged me to step my cooking game up, they had a Target, but closed it 6 months before we moved (I knew when that happened we would be moving soon, because God knows that I need my Target lol), and we also never found a church home and the diversity lacked. It was tough, but I'm thankful for the experience.
Enjoyed your video. You need to keep looking for your church family. Being far away from your family and being a officer can be lonely. Remember, no family is perfect so just get in there and get involved with a church community. You need them and they need you. Will be praying for you. 🙏🏻 God bless
R u in active duty or reserved?? What’s ur job as in the Air Force?? How did u get into the Air Force ?? Did u go straight into academy after high school??
Hi. I’m currently AD AF Medic 4N. It’s great to see a great leader like you in the MSC position. Hoping to get my degree and be like you one day. If it’s right for me. I’m very type B, so I hope this career is right for me.
CONGRATULATIONS to you on earning your commission in the USAF and serving our country!!! I have subbed to your channel. My father served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Hello Lt, wonderful finding your video. I was enlisted in the AF in 1979-1985. I shared a couple of your videos with a friends daughter who is interested in the Military after college. I told her I only recommend the AF because a female can still be a female. I'm so proud of you black young people who have joined the Military your life will be blessed.God bless Sis.
This was a great video. Thank you for all the information you have given thus far. I would like your opinion in regards to applying as an MSC Officer. I would first like to acknowledge the fact that there is not a whole lot of information on the web and even a lack of youtube videos on becoming an MSC Officer. It seems like not too many people apply for this position. Do you think because this field is small in the Air Force that many of the applicants who apply get accepted?
Thank you I would like that very much. I'm currently in the process of working with a recruiter to become an MSC officer and I could use all the information that I can to get ahead and also be accepted.
I want to be a officer in the military and I wanna to be a medical officer I want my bachelors in psychology which take four years of medical school and four years of residency after I complete college how do I go by being a officer in the airforce
It's nice to be in a position where your superiors give you assignments but they can't fire you for not knowing what you are doing. In the civilian world they just fire you. Then you are stuck with a bunch of bills you can't pay and you lose everything you have.
OH MY GOSH I FOUND AN MSC!!!! Lol you are a hard bunch to locate! Had a question for you ma'am, I'm currently enlisted, finishing up my masters and looking at my options. My undergrad is a BA in business information systems, grad is going to be a MS in human factors system engineering. I had my undergrad evaluated a few years ago for MSC, but it was either close to qualifying or did qualify at all. My question(s) is (are) how do you get into MSC and do you have any information about the application process? Thank you in advance.
Lt, like this video. It reminds me of when I did over 6 years at Grand Forks AFB ND and over 2 years at Ellsworth AFB SD. Yes, back then diversity was low. I think it is a little better now since, the military have more diversity these days. My assignments was S Korea,, Japan, Philippines, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia. TDY at For Dix NJ and the above mention other states and of course Lackland. I really enjoyed my career as a Security Police. Now I am a father and grand father with 2 sons in the military, US Marines and US Army. Love when young people serve at 4 years of military.
I like your video, I enlisted in NG as E-4 cos my degree and I still not going to BTC yet. I found out that I can enlist at officers in the Navy. My Recruiter didn't let me! Any suggestions!
I’m in WA predominantly Caucasian as well . @ Fairchild AFB beautiful area . I had to build my circle ⭕️. I too cook all of my meals I grew up on and crave
Hi Veronica, I am planning on applying and had a few questions if you could help me:is the career field and HSA course math heavy? Should I read the OTS guide before I go to COT? Any questions I should prepare for in the interview? What kinds of briefings do MSCs give? How long are they on average? Is an average GRE score going to hurt my package? Thanks in advance!
Hi Vernoica, im thinking about joining the air force as an officer and my wife is curious about joining as well. Have you ever encountered other air force officer personnel who were married to eachother? And if so were they stationed in the same place together? Thanks!
im aspiring to be in the air force and of course go in as a officer. I have many questions, particularly with your living arrangments. Do you get to pick what base you want to be stationed at? also, can you live on the base for free? i'd really like too know
Everyone says that officers have to deal with more "politics". I don't know what that means but it sounds like a lot of drama. Is there a way to join as an officer and avoid all of that?
Hey I'm doing my Masters in health management, I plan on being an officer with that job field. Will my afoqt be waived since I'm pursuing a career in the healthcare field?
Federalpay declares 2nd Lt pay at $3000-$3800/mo---let's say $20/hr. Is this not accurate? For the responsibility and education required, the pay appears terrible. Emotional preferences aside, the only incentive I see is the pension, which is being phased out as a benefit across corporations. You seemed to convey the income was nice. Why is it nice? You could make near double as a civilian, right now.
You have to keep in mind that, as an officer, you are not paying rent. You receive BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) that typically covers the average rent for the area that you are stationed at. You also receive free medical for you and your spouse if you are married, including children. With these in mind you are looking at 70-80k per year. As I am looking at being a chaplain in the Navy I start as O2 and after a year automatically promote to O3. It's not for everyone though. God bless, Matt
You made this 6 years ago yet it’s divinely meant for me right now! I hope the algorithm goes up for others who want to join because you articulate things very well! Thank you so much I can’t thank you enough ❤

Hey, I go to FSU and I’m interested in joining the AF rotc. How’s it going and do you have any tips?
Amazing video!!! I love the way how you conducted yourself as a educated young lady and you spoke with enthusiasm that never wanes. Hallelujah & glory to God!! He is the best father and it feels so good to be lead by him 🥰 he’s guiding me to the air force I can feel it amen!! 🙏🏾

I am a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. DIVINE NINE is in all of the military services. If I may ask you, what Sorority did you pledge?

Your qualities make for a good officer, person and wife(if it hasn’t happened already). Never stop being yourself.
where is the video where you explain about filling out the application?

Good luck!!!!!

It is small but growing field and it is tough to get in but very doable!! I will try to make more videos on being an MSC :)

Where is it found exactly? I can't seem to find it. Feel free to hit me up on the global.
Marcus Kiner I’m just now seeing this. Okay, sure. I’ll try to look for you tomorrow.

Hey Veronica do officers get GI bill to get a masters?
I LIVE IN MONTANA!!!
Hi Veronica, I am planning on applying and had a few questions if you could help me:is the career field and HSA course math heavy? Should I read the OTS guide before I go to COT? yes, lots! yes they were :)
Awesome! Love this!
After watching a few of your videos I feel like we are like the same person lol. Your personality and mine are very similar, if not the same haha
How long are you stationed in Montana for? As a Lieutenant do you get to travel a lot?
2-4 years and yes when weather permits :) I am eligible to leave by next summer!
im aspiring to be in the air force and of course go in as a officer. I have many questions, particularly with your living arrangments. Do you get to pick what base you want to be stationed at? also, can you live on the base for free? i'd really like too know
Do you know all the places you can be stationed after oct?
Everyone says that officers have to deal with more "politics". I don't know what that means but it sounds like a lot of drama. Is there a way to join as an officer and avoid all of that?
join with a skill, nursing, law medicl chaplain etc
Love this video thank u
thanks for watching!
This is awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing and continue to keep God 1st🙂🙂
Who disliked this video? She was on point
Did you take the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test
hey! nope Im a medical officer, so I only required the GRE :)
Veronica Luke what is the GRE? Lol
graduate readiness exam!
Sorry what is your job again lol, and how long did it take you to get it to OTS?
Hey I'm doing my Masters in health management, I plan on being an officer with that job field. Will my afoqt be waived since I'm pursuing a career in the healthcare field?
If you do healthcare you will require a GRE or GMAT. That is not waiverable.
How old are you if you don't mind sharing?
a beautiful 25 lol
Where did you want to get stationed? How hard is it to get a base you want?
Im at a base in Montana. It depends on the "needs of the Air Force" lol you dont always get what you want.
What's the big deal about the availability of makeup? You mentioned it several times.
Is your birthday month October?
Hi! Nope September!
Hey hey I live in MT! I just got a Type 1 AFROTC scholarship and I'll be at Montana State. I love Malmstrom.
2Lt usually get disrespected in the Air Force. How did you earn this rank
OTS, Air Force Academy, or ROTC
