Really nice version, Vauxhall and I has such a nice richness. It’s an album I never really appreciated until recently and I don’t really know why but now for me it’s one of the all time best albums. I saw you play in Hammersmith earlier this year and blew me away, hope to see you in the band again one day
Oh no, just when I seemed to be able to carry on with my life, you come back with re-recorded stay at home sessions, ... just spent a good hour rewatching a bunch of your sessions from your playlist. You will never get old, Alain! Just checked your website looking for any news on new material, ... any word on a new EP, or even an LP??!!! Thank you for the newly re-recorded upload, sounds fantastic (honestly, the original was awesome too). Take care!! By the way, I just listened to a podcast entitled "everyone loves guitar" where he interviewed Boz Boorer. It was a great listen (especially his banter with his wife in the background). Would be great if they had you on as well!!!
"I just don't belong to anyone. I AM MINE!" Strong words at strange times... Thanks Alain for reminding us these songs. And thank you for working again on some of the sessions. They sound much better. Greetings from Athens.
Alain, this is one of my most favorite songs of all time. The chord progressions are haunting and gorgeous!! I actually made an edit version of this song with Moz's voice removed just so I can hear the music while I drive home from gigs in the wee hours.
Just perfect. I always wonder if you have to relearn some of the songs that you wrote with Moz. Or do they come right back to you? Kind of like riding a bike. I can't imagine that it would be easy for you to remember the seventy plus songs that you wrote Alain. So good to spend some time with you again~ Rob/Boston
Morrissey played this song last Oct. I saw you Alain in 1991 at UCLA I was a bit disappointed the show was cut off at the half way point because the unruly crowds. The same thing happen when I saw The Smiths. Stage invasion cancel the conclusion.
By any chance is this version tabbed anywhere? I’m trying to work out what Alain is doing here, but I’m having trouble following all the quick arpeggios. Beautiful song, I want to play it. Alain is just a fantastic guitar player and songwriter. :) Thank you Alain!
My friend, you are amazing, in Mexico we love you as you dont even imagine, greetings from Morrissey México Oficial, u have to visit us when u have a little time, itll be a honor. Cheers xx
Sweet changes! Got on camera before and recorded a version of a tune I finished yesterday. I'll upload it perhaps tomorrow. People don't know me like you(and I can't play as well as you) but ain't writing songs cool!
Post Steven Street- you are the best collaborator morrissey ever had. This song is my favorite.
Agreed!
This is brilliant man.
Your playing is severely missed.
This is one of my favourite songs in the entire catalog.
Mine too - it's even better than Speedway!
The chord changes of this song are so damn good! Gainsbourg, John Barry, Morricone meets the Smiths. Thanks Alain!
Fantastic. Thank you for all of your invaluable contributions to the Morrissey catalogue. Genuinely - he's lucky to work with you.
Thank you for your kind words
Greetings from Brasil! ... April 2000 when you were here with Morrissey! Great gig!!!

Alain, is it possible to purchase 1-on-1 virtual guitar lessons with you?
Mantaps.
Sweet changes! Got on camera before and recorded a version of a tune I finished yesterday. I'll upload it perhaps tomorrow. People don't know me like you(and I can't play as well as you) but ain't writing songs cool!
You should really think about recording King Leer during these sessions! Please?!
Alain, what might it take for you to perform in Canada? You really are a serious Smiths’ link.
Would love to play Canada
I don't understand why don't Come to Mexico and play all your music!?
What's your favorite b side
If it’s my song that I wrote then it’s The Edges Are No Longer Parallel. If it’s not mine then Will Never Marry
With all your clever tagging of the places of origin for your recordings, you missed the chance to tag "Vauxhall" in South London :)
You’re right lol I did
Thank you Alain, I missed these greatly.
What y’all hearing right now is the original song .... “hated for loving”
