Nobody plays like you Alain! Always loved the rockabilly feel of this song. One of my favs from the Hammersmith '91 concert. Remember when you cut your finger & bled on the guitar but just kept on playing & singing like nothing happened.. that was the most badass rock'n'roll thing ever! You're a legend 🎸
We your fans will keep supporting you and keep looking out for new stuff. You are in our hearts always and never forgotten. We can't thank you enough!! With much love and success :0)
One of my fave tunes and moments in the show: it’s always a stormer ! Wish you were still onboard; your spirit, skill, and showmanship are sorely missed! Cheers for this upload - and Happy Christmas 🎄 to you ! 🎸 ❤️ 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Safe at Home Sessions is one of the best things happened to me during this difficult and uncertain period. It is a pleasure to get to know you, Alain, even if it is only via youtube comments. Thank you for all the joy you gave it to us, sir.
One of the few Nevin songs Morrissey will play these days…. Kill Uncle launched Morrissey’s tour career. Mark Nevin wrote some great songs including “My Love Life” and 2 songs on Your Arsenal. Thanks Alain for playing it.
This acoustic version of The Loop is going at warp speed. Your singing, Alain, is cool and calm like a driver of spacecraft. This performance takes us out of this world. Thank you so much for sharing with us your life, and your gift for music during the stay at home lockdown age.
This takes me back to 1991 at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY.. Probably still my favorite New York area show of that tour to this day. And I've been to many since!
Mr. Whyte it's your interpretation, I see Faye dunaway and Warren Beatty running in my head! you give new life to these old songs with your gift. Whenever I look back at 2020 I will think of you and how open and generous you were with us with this series. Stay gorgeous Mr. Whyte! X
Thanks a lot for having posted this video. I was in brussels in march for the show at the "Bozar" . it was fantastic ! you played this song it was fabulous ! Thanks Alain to play with that rock n roll groovy touch that makes the world better !
I have always wanted to hear this one live with you on guitar, with M. I'm gonna miss you mate, so heartbroken you left, again. Wish you the best, again, Alain. Cheers!
Hell yeah Alain!!!!! Bring it back, bring it back, bring Rockabilly back again.... Boy do we miss you Alain, Gary Day and Spencer. No disrespect to your replacements but, were very nostalgic here. You guys along with the Boz and the Moz really got the house a rocking!!! You guys are my favorite Morrissey lineup. We loved it when you played Rockabilly with the Moz. I don't know if you know this man but, you guys are responsible for the 3rd wave of Rockabilly music here in Los Angeles. You guys brought it back to the mainstream in the 90's. I'm not going to miss a show here if you guys reunite. I didn't get to see you guys back then because it was impossible to get tickets in those days. You had to be extremely lucky. You had a better chance of getting struck by lightning than getting tickets to your shows. They would sell out in minutes. You guys were breaking records in selling out shows. I hope I have better luck this time.🤞I'm going to get that lucky rabbits foot ready. P.S. don't tell the Moz about that one. Well it's a Rock, a Rock, a Rockabilly Boogie!!!! Hope too see you guys soon!!! Rock on!!!!👍😎
I remember seeing you guys rip this song apart at Jones Beach theater in Wantagh New York in 1991 it was amazing! Can’t believe it’s almost been 30 years!!!
I love it! From my favorite era Morrissey, with the best line-up. I’ve always been a huge fan of your compositions. It sounds like you’ll be playing out next year, Alain. I can’t wait.
Awesome guitar playing! Im sad to hear these are ending but so happy you even did them in the first place. Ive managed to learn a handful of my favorite songs ever on guitar from the best source possible, the man that wrote them. Thank you!!
Taking me back to my teens again, saw you guys play live then would love to see you guys together again. Loop was definitely a crowd pleaser and remember that really taking me back to what could of been me a teen in the 50's. Thank you for appreciating what could of been then can still be now if you put your heart and soul into it.
This is my favorite song on hot summer weekends when it's actually quiet out, none of my neighbors are about, so I play this out the window and enjoy the pool. Born to Hang is usually next.
I don't know anything about playing the guitar but to me that sounds pretty intricate yet you do it with ease, the sign of someone who is good at what he does.
a live favourite durinf 91 &92...great version of the live album 'Beethoven was Deaf'...This ones great playing, rythm, splendid performance, thanks and thumbs up Alain.
Mr Whyte, thank you for this gem! Love the guitar, love the King in the background and love this video! I saw you at the Pacific Amphitheater in OC, CA 30 years ago this July. The day has never left my memories nor will it ever. It was a musical experience that forever changed who I am personally. Music has a power to create change in someone and the music you’ve created over the years has been with me throughout my journey. It’s almost as if I know you personally lol. We get attached to things we love and allow ourselves to get lost in this beautiful world. The combination of you, Boz, Spence, and Gary was our Fab Four of our generation. I still listen and watch videos from then and after. The music that guys created will be here forever. So in tradition, “Goodnight and Thank You!”
yeah! it's awesome to watch the shows from the rockabilly era, you guys just seemed like having lots of fun. King Leer on live version is so much better and I have to say, Gary Day's killing it on the upright bass :) btw It would be great to see you playing that song and singing "with a homeless chihuahua" lol
I love your interpretation of this song, very very nice one. I wish you were back in the band. It's not the same without you. Have a good one, Alain :D
Too lazy to look for my world of morrissey Cd to find out if loop was written by you, I was just wishing to see it in my utube suggestions one of these days... best rock & roll riff ever created ? Gracias Mr. Whyte, gracias!
Wow, this turned out great! All live versions of this song that I've heard were fantastic, but this one has a magic of its own. Now I feel like dancing. But maybe I'll sit down again and watch your fingers do the dancing instead. Tough choice!
So friggin' good man! First time I saw Moz was on Kill Uncle at Greek in Berkeley. This tune was a favorite, so tight. Also always loved There is a place in hell for me and my friends....it really came to life in a live setting..........! Thank you so much for doing these, I always look forward to the next one!
Hey Alain, we've got this Shining thing going on here. I was just saying to myself when is Alain going to jam to The Loop. Thank you for all your recent videos. Moz Angeles says Hi!

Alain is a monster!!! Best partner of Morrissey!!!
I agree. Moz's tunes have gone downhill without you.
E M1 Sad AND true
Alain is a power in his own right. He makes Morrissey's lyrics jump, rock, and dive. Well done!
We your fans will keep supporting you and keep looking out for new stuff. You are in our hearts always and never forgotten. We can't thank you enough!! With much love and success :0)
Thank you Josh for your really kind words. Made my day. I appreciate you my friend. :)
One of my fave tunes and moments in the show: it’s always a stormer ! Wish you were still onboard; your spirit, skill, and showmanship are sorely missed! Cheers for this upload - and Happy Christmas 🎄 to you ! 🎸 ❤️ 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
If only I could do this, I’d sit at home and play all day!
It must have been really fun writing around Morrissey's voice. This feels kinda surfer-billy on acoustic. Cool!
Loving these renditions, still rocks 30 years on!
Safe at Home Sessions is one of the best things happened to me during this difficult and uncertain period. It is a pleasure to get to know you, Alain, even if it is only via youtube comments. Thank you for all the joy you gave it to us, sir.
This was a great one - I had forgotten about it! Another gem from that era was "My Love Life."
One of the few Nevin songs Morrissey will play these days….

Thanks Alain for playing it.
This safe at home collection is the coolest thing ever!
I´ve seen Morrissey live 6 times. The last time you were not there.. it was really strange.
Born and bred to rip and shred! Fire-up Alain.... loving it!
I’ll be there next year Alain, wherever you end up!
I loved Moz when he was in that rockabilly phase with the gold lamè shirts. It was a refreshing change from The Smiths and Stephen Street.
You and Gary need to do some of these sessions together. This was fuckin great🎸🎼🎸
I agree, you, Gary, Boz and even Spencer doing a reunion session together would be mind blowing !
Fillin Chillin you are a prophet...

You’ve been one my guitar idols for quite some time and really appreciate these sessions. Awesome Alain!!
The live version on Beethoven Was Deaf sounds fenomenal but I had never heard on acoustic. Sounds great!!! I will try to play the song on my own.

Lovely Alain, one of my favourites. Rockabilly beauty! See youse in Éire 🕺🇮🇪
So good. 30 years flew by.
I'm really fall to this song🏊
This is my favorite song on hot summer weekends when it's actually quiet out, none of my neighbors are about, so I play this out the window and enjoy the pool. Born to Hang is usually next.
Which born to hang? Mine or Morrissey’s ? :)
I had to find out who played on this and it makes sense you were on all my favorite post Smiths records. Southpaw was my favorite. Brilliant song.
Not sure how to thank you properly for this blessing.
Come back, man. We need you!
That is the coolest thing ever!
Yeah exactly, amazing 👏
Bravo sir! 👏
One of my faves. Makes ya drive faster - love how it builds up to the vocal parts
