The most incredible girl I've ever seen. Beautiful, brave and incredibly talented. When I hear them I have goosebumps and tears in my eyes. She touches my soul.
You _can_ see her illness, from the fact that she is very small due to malnutrition. It's not that noticeable here, because she's wearing high heels and not standing close to people, but as you dive deeper into the Emmaversa you'll see that she's a _tiny_ slip of a girl. Which makes the power of her voice even more impressive IMHO.
Emma has been through a very difficult childhood, thanks to her stomach disorder, having to go to school on a portable feeder machine which she has been on since the age of nine months. And we all know how cruel children can be to each other, especially the bullies. Somehow she came through all that with an excess of good character and just plain loveliness, not to mention that beautiful voice. I have read that she does not speak French, but learned the song phonetically. Loved your review. Please stay safe.
Emma is an amazing talent. She does not allow her health problems hold her back. As to the war. I will pray that you remain safe. I was an American soldier in the Vietnam war. I know what a night mare war is. I hope some day people can learn to live together in peace. My prayers to you.❤
Thank you for your reaction and indepth analyses, Dounia. Emma doesn't speak French, still she learned it all by head. She reminds me a bit of a young Lara Fabian; Emma really 'feels' the song and she takes the audience on her journey. Stay safe!
There are many "reaction" videos of this performance on TH-cam, but very few from trained musicians and coaches who not only appreciate how incredible this performance is, but are actually able to intelligently analyze in-depth what Emma is doing here. Yours is one of those few. Thank you.
I've seen many reviews, but I like your approach most. To watch the whole moment first, then go back and evaluate. Emma starts off like an introduction, and more and more, she compels the story; you can't see this stopping throughout. If you get the chance, look up Emma's earlier events. In English, the songs are titled, "Let me be a butterfly," and "Warrior." Emma is a few years younger, and her talent is obvious and growing, very impressive. Thank you, Dounia, for your confirming thoughts and feelings. Emma is outstanding!
I have subscribed on your channel, first of all, be safe, and than what a kind and good reaction to Emma, thank you, becouse I am dutch like Emma I am very pround of her, you have to listen to dancing on the stars too! oh and don`t forgett the tissues 🙂
I’m am moved by her & also with your reaction's. Thanks for sharing with us. Please watch her sing Dancing on the Stars & yes have your tissues box nearby. She is a special person as you have said with her emotions that she puts into her singing.
First of all, be safe! May peace come for all of the people in the region 🙏 Thank you for a wonderful reaction. You should watch next Emma's performance at the same location, one year later. Don't forget your tissues 😢
A grand production with this troupe and Emma is a recent song,1 st sung by Emma a month ago.." dancing on the stars"!! Her stage presence is even more powerful..as she had already been on tour with Andre' ! And she has sung berfore royalty of Holland!! Watch , and bring Tissues!! You think this is a power production...wait til you see her at 16..doing " Dancin on the stars "! 🎶👋🐺🧙♂️🦊🤙🎶
Stay safe, you and your family, with continuing prayers, Dounia. Emma is a fine singer. Another Dutch soprano who began her public career on André's stage is Amira Willighagen, at age 10: with O Mio Babbino Caro, which was also her golden ticket audition song on Holland's Got Talent, in 2013, age 9. Now she's all over youtube!
Dounia, where to start, Your reaction to Emma is so good, so positive about her, there's so much to let you know about, and I know I may hit the TH-cam limit on comment length, but here goes. First, even more impressive, Voila was Emma's first ever performance with Andre, and her first ever performance of this version of the song, very much modified by Andre from how she originally learned it, she won Ministars with it in early 2023, and Andre significantly changed it to suit the orchestra, the quality of what she delivered was beyond stunning, and this was over 12 months ago, and in front of 12,500 people, the first of a series of 12 concerts in the town square of Maastricht, Andre's home town, since then, she's been touring with Andre for the whole of 2024, and also did a number of concerts between July and December with him, she's now appeared in front of at least 1 Million people around the world, that's the sorts of numbers that Andre draws to his concerts, this week alone, 4 sell out concerts in Lisbon, at a venue that seats 20,000. Emma wasn't just singing, that night, she was living her dream, as she walked out on to that stage, mentally, she was the butterfly of her dream emerging from the cocoon and soaring high over that stage, the orchestra and that huge audience, it was the theme of her first single, LAAT MIJ EEN VLINDER ZIJN , let me be a butterfly th-cam.com/video/Zcxan9R5s4E/w-d-xo.html released 12 months earlier, a song written for her, and expressing her deep desire for freedom, to be able to rise above the limitations of her disease, Gastroparesis, which means that she's tied to 2 feeding pumps that push liquid nutrition into her stomach for 22 hours a day, she can only be free of the pumps for a maximum of 2 hours a day, sometimes less, and her stamina is not great, so there are times when she has to resort to using a wheelchair for mobility, so her time off the pumps when on stage is precious, her therapy. Voila has had in excess of 70 million views on TH-cam alone, and a huge number of streams on other social media sites, bringing the total to well over 125 Million, and there's other work by her on TH-cam. 12 months later, she sang a new song, and that new song massively raised the bar of perfection that she'd set previously, and she massively cleared that new high bar with the performance, Dancing on the Stars, th-cam.com/video/Ll1uR_HUOP8/w-d-xo.html Emma has used the time she's been touring with Andre and the orchestra to watch, listen and learn, and the result is a massive lift in her ability, you were blown out of the water by Voila, you will want tissues for this one as well, it's sublime, and the top notes are mind blowing, both in terms of the range, and the duration, the best words I can use is to say that on several occasions, she delivers the equivalent of a vocal explosion, which devastates everything within earshot, she has such power, I don't know how, she's still tiny as a result of her illness, 1 Mtr 50, and only a little over 50 Kg, but she has worked on making sure she delivers incredible performances. Some of her other songs from 2024 have been performed as part of the annual commemoration concerts to remember the huge number of lives lost in the Netherlands during the liberation of the country from German occupation, she performed in front of the Dutch Royal family and high ranking politicians, a duet with April Darby, 'When you believe', and it was a wonderful performance. th-cam.com/video/YG8WV1GFt_c/w-d-xo.html She also performed other songs during these concerts, a stunning performance of a technically difficult song, a Demi Levato cover of 'Father', th-cam.com/video/YG8WV1GFt_c/w-d-xo.html Another deeply emotional song from the same concert, 'Hero', th-cam.com/video/rohP0V3ECRY/w-d-xo.html From a different concert, 'You raise me up', th-cam.com/video/NIXB7TbeMvw/w-d-xo.html You mentioned princess, well, in the autumn, she appeared at a concert, previewing an event she's been booked for in January 2025, at the Ziggodome in Amsterdam, where she will perform 2 concerts with the Disney organisation, and this preview is stunning, both in terms of her power, and the quality of what she delivers, her stage presence is incredibly good, and her delivery of these well know songs is just sublime. th-cam.com/video/rhALa-baZGA/w-d-xo.html This is a huge event, in a massive venue, and then, as an indication of just how much her star has risen, after 2 guest appearances with Disney, only a week later, Emma will be appearing at the same venue with Andre Rieu, in a completely different event, as part of the 2025 world tour, which she's been booked for, a continuance of her appearances around the world, Another Disney song, she recorded this at home in her own studio, from the film, 'The little mermaid', Ariel's song, 'Part of your world' th-cam.com/video/itxs-aNyRJY/w-d-xo.html She's also announced her first ever concert in her own name, it will be in Amsterdam in October 2025, at the national concert theatre, it was announced and sold out in 3 hours last week, and it will be a wonderful event, I was very happy to get tickets for it. Other songs, with a Christmas theme, she did a wonderful performance for Dutch TV singing an orchestral arrangement of 'Hallelujah', th-cam.com/video/9qVHQuPQud0/w-d-xo.html Emma was a guest star in the Andre RIeu 2023 Christmas concert series, and sang several songs, a beautiful version of 'White Christmas', started A capella, with no guide note, and then Andre brings the orchestra in, before she's joined by other singers, a large event, you could have heard a pin drop as she started singing, th-cam.com/video/ZZEyhG2bEeM/w-d-xo.html Later in the same show, 'All I want for Christmas', th-cam.com/video/xCBOVw7PErU/w-d-xo.html One of Emma's first ever appearances, June 2020, with her brother Enzo, a special concert with no audience because of Covid, she was only 12 at the time, and a tiny 12 at that, but even then, her ability and quality was so evident, th-cam.com/video/oMyqCs6zZP4/w-d-xo.html There is so much more, and a search of TH-cam for Emma Kok will find a lot of her performances, my close is important, the only thing that can stop Emma now is her health, and that's why I am going to repeat my appeal to everyone listening or reading, if at all possible, please make a (regular) donation to Emma's foundation, who are working to find better treatments, or ideally, a cure for the illness that at the moment has no cure, and also can have devastating implications for sufferers, many of whom have taken their own lives as a result of the intense pressure and stress that the discipline of living with gastroparesis imposes on them. I know from recent social media posts, she still finds the unrelenting daily limitations of tube feeding incredibly hard to cope with at times, despite that she's loving the singing with Andre, which she regards as her therapy. She posted some heart breaking photos and comments from her holiday in Portugal, having to use her wheelchair after a time swimming, even then, at a time when the family were relaxing and enjoying a break away from their normal lives, Emma had no relief, no escape from the mental and physical pain of having to live with the numbing discipline of the 22 hours every day with the pumps attached to her, her ongoing lack of stamina that hugely limits and impacts on her life and desire to be free, and she never talks about the physical pain that so often is a side effect of the failure of her stomach to properly process the contents, or the indescribable pain of the procedure to replace her feeding tubes, which she endures every 5 months, without anaesthetic, to avoid any risk of damage to her voice. Her most recent change of stoma and feeding tubes (Her Mickey button) happened only 3 days before the first Vrijthof concert In Maastricht in July, and it went wrong, and took well over an hour compared to the normal 20 to 30 minutes, a video of the rehearsals the next day made it very evident that she was still suffering, she had to wear a winter coat to keep warm, and this procedure has to happen every 5 months. Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and required her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes since she was 9 MONTHS old, for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure. Please also be very careful if you post or respond to anything from Emma on social media, her increased visibility has resulted in significant numbers of bad actors creating fake accounts, the ONLY valid web site that supports Emma and others like her is the gastrostars site. One of the main people in Gastrostars is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in treating gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day. It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.
Several have commented on the school bullying. This improved after she won Voice Kids. The school greeted her with cheering and she sang Strijder (Warrior) to them. See: Emma - Vrijeschool Parkstad.
You, your family, and your people have my prayers and thoughts for your safety. From what I know of anatomy, I believe her paralysis affects the peristaltic process in her stomach (the muscle action that moves food through the digestive tract). Her diaphragm, though located near the stomach, is actually part of the respiratory system and appears to be unaffected - if it were paralyzed she would need a ventilator just to survive. Still, having this control and power with this condition of limited nutrition is absolutely amazing and a testament to her determination to achieve her dreams. We should all be so passionate about our dreams. Take Care.
May peace come quickly to you, to your country, to the the region, to all. Emma has an lasting effect on people. She touches peoples hearts with her voice and her whole being. There is ache in her voice. Ache from a lifetime of physical and mental struggles, from being bullied, from being different. But she didn't let it break her down. Instead she turned it around a made it define her who she is in the most positive way you can imagine. That's what makes her so inspirational besides her beautiful voice. André Rieu took her under his wings and they have proven to be a fantastic collaboration that comes only once in a lifetime. You can check her song 'Dancing On The Stars'. It's on the same stage, one year later. th-cam.com/video/Ll1uR_HUOP8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=783hp9L10FVDN7g3 Also very impressive: 'Father' by Demi Lovato. She performed this 2 months after 'Voilá' at a WWII memorial in The Netherlands: th-cam.com/video/y554GsqMHj8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XTcJTAyMPurkM37E Be safe!
Congratulations Dounia for your good work. A doctor mentioned that having a paralyzed stomach is a big challenge to be able to sing because of big problems with saliva. He was very impressed by Emma.
Emma has more than 75million views on TH-cam for Voila alone. She also has about 10million for 'Dancing on the stars' and a total of several millions for other works; Father; Imagine; Strijder (Warrior in English); Butterfly; Hallelujah; White Christmas and many more. She is on feeding tubes direct to her stomach 22 hours out of 24 - every day. She was born with the problem and they began to work out what the problem was when she was 9 months old, been living with it ever since. Singing is her escape and she puts everything into her art, very self critical. Due to her feeding problems she is only 150cm tall and weighs about 50kgs. She is a lovely girl supported by a marvellous family. At present touring the world with Andre Rieu supported by her mum.
Dounia, hang in there! Emma does not speak French, and so she leared this song phonetically. The way she expresses emotion in a langurage that is not her own is awe inspiring. She speaks Dutch, and English. Her disease is called gastroperesis, and clearly the stomach issues do not affect her diaphragm, or her glorious vocal cords.
to listen deeply and then see the translation of the lyrics is heavenly.. moving.... inspiring and above all - move us to all care more.. do more and be more - especially in this time of political insanity.... thank you Dounia for being vulnerable to share with us all.
Greetings from Scotland! Every time I watch this performance it totally destroys me! Fate is unfathomable...... how it gave this beautiful young girl a dreadful ailment BUT also an angelic voice........ Perhaps we will see in time why?
Emma Kok is a vraiement amazing angel, isn't she? You might enjoy to see her about one year later, just recently, again with André, and next time you might give him some flowers as well, I mean I totally understand that you were completely captivated by Emma, but the way he conducted his orchestra, being completely focused on Emma and in tune with her, provided a perfect runway for Emma to take off and soar... and he took her on tour with him, he's a great mentor to her, and in the new video you will hear her mention him in a very grateful and loving way... The new song was written by a guy who's in the audience as well, but the story goes he wrote it about 25 years or more ago, but never had anyone perform it, he said he could not find the right singer for it, so he kept it in a drawer until he discovered Emma and the offered the song to her and Andé... The song is called "Dancing on the stars"... Dounia, I've been following your channel for quite a while, subbed for AJ, but am loving quite a few artists you're covering. Already said that I'm really sorry for the trouble you're in, I would love to support you more, but as I'm not wealthy I couldn't buy you more than a coffee... All I can do is watch your videos, like and comment, and I'm sharing them with friends... And I can give you suggestions, for what will be your personal pleasure, but might also draw a new audience to your channel... I've already suggested RAYE a few times, don't know if you saw my comments... I won't tell you much, but I will warn you you might want to have some tissues ready for her first song in this medley... but your tears will dry soon as she goes on... I like a blind reaction by a good reactor, and you're one for sure, and your channel will grow, so I will tell you more about RAYE and her story after you did your first reaction to her. But as I need to get you curios I will tell you this: In 2024 she was nominated for a record of seven Brit Awards, and took home six of them... (Adele had four in her best year...) The awards she won were: Artist of the Year, Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Best R&B Artist and, for the first time ever as a female at the Brits: Best Songwriter... You will be as amazed as you were with Emma... RAYE turned 27 on Oct. 24, and on that day her car got stolen, and what's worse: in the boot of that car were all of her songwriting books, where she had collected material for her new album for years... She apologized to her followers on Instagram, saying this means there won't be another album by her anytime soon... Luckily she has countless great songs and live performances to react to... If you will, please start your journey here: RAYE - BRIT Awards 2024 Medley ('Ice Cream Man', 'Prada' & 'Escapism') th-cam.com/video/OiKbKRcsBCw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QJjhPkwKyFQhBtHK Peace and love from Bavaria!
I pray for the Middle East every day. Yes, for the Middle east because I am convinced most people, no matter in which Country they live, are wishing just one thing: peace and rest for all. please stay safe!! Well to me that's the most important thing these day's, in this troubled world. Emma has her ups and her downs, has often pain, is weak (to cover bigger walking distances she needs to use a wheelchair), small, tiny. But as you see: when she is on stage she is in charge of the entitre thing. Look at her, she is the one who is leading the orchestra from start to finish and André Rieu is just following her.... That tells a lot about her musicality. I mean, when André should have the slightest doubt he would not allow that, from nobody. He has over 50 years on stage experience and he will never ever let his show being ruined by a teenager.... Emma was asked in a recent interview how many people she thinks she has brought to tears till now. She smiled: we have had over 90 shows now and every show has more then 10.000 people. And then the little smile and look at her face like 'and I will not stop till I have them all emotional'. And yea, you are so right, Emma wants to tell a story with every song she performs: her own story and nothing else. You are the first one who is asking if Emma feels pain in her belly when she sings. I have no idea, but one thing is for sure: Emma can handle lots and lots of pain. Every 5 month she has to undergo stomach surgery in hospital because of the feedingpumps and tubes she is depending at. When she was 13 (the year she won 'Voice kids Holland') she has decided to refuse anesthesia for it, because she is afraid that they unwillingly could damage her vocal cords in the process. Emma told this about it in an interview last summer: "When I was 13, I have decided to choose for my voice instead of having a tube in my throat... Last time it was not fun, because it went a little wrong so they had to do the operation twice. I absolutely was not prepared for that. The doctor needed about an hour instead of 15 minutes". To be honest: only thinking about it gives me the shivers.... André Rieu was also a guest in that interview and he is very impressed with this small tiny singer. Emma will be on tour with him and his orchestra in 2025 as well AND, thanks to him, Emma will have her own show in the Royal Concerthall in Amsterdam on 21 October 2025. So they have found a way to make this possible despite the limitations Emma has (no way, that she can stand on stage a very long time, and there is the issue of her feeding....). So apart from her amazing vocals it will be very interresting to see how Emma and André have solved that issue. But they did find a way: the show is already SOLD OUT (in about 3 hours after Emma made the announcement). Her most recent song with André Rieu is 'Dançing On The Stars'. And here we have girl who is doing that.... almost literally. And what is so nice about her: she has both feets firmly on the ground and she is just 'Emma'.
Dancing with the Stars is written by a musician that had it shelved for 20 years until she found it and asked if she could sing it so it's never been heard before. She knows how to pick them, that's for sure. Every 3 months Emma has to get a feeding tube that she is on 22 hours a day and it has to be changed every 3 months. She is supposed to me under anesthesia but refuses because she doesn't want tubes down her throat that might damage. The day before she gives her first concert of Dancing with the Stars she had the surgery and things went wrong so it wasn't 15 minutes of pain it was half an hour. She went to practice bundled up after surgery and the next day did the performance looking as beautiful as she did. At that time she was probably in pain. Mentally though its super hard to carry heavy feeding tube pumps and equipment around 22 hrs per day and to never be able to eat when food is everywhere. Check out the song I recommended because it can apply to your situation in some respects. Not war but to lift you out of it for a time. I hope you stay safe. Oh yes she does the song Imagine by John Lennon and does it justice and that may also apply to the world right now.
Nice to see you again, Dounia! I am so sorry about the violent conditions! I meditate for wisdom and peace in the Middle East. Wish you and your loved ones strength and a soft heart in the middle of incomprehensibly cruel inhumane actions. 🍀

Thanks for your comment Dounia, Emma doesn't speak French and she doesn't had French Lessons at school, this is how she did it. Hope you can follow it but it's funny how Emma learned the lyrics of VOILA ( th-cam.com/users/shortsW8feOFomG14?si=OkDIKJAN1XEfXvtt ) 🤣 Is a master piece and the beginning of a breakthrough for Emma worldwide. Another girl that was on that same stage with Andre Rieu is Amira Willighagen. She was by then just 10 years old singing the opera song O mio Babbino Caro. For sure also one to look up and watch!
This year, Emma sang an even more powerful song (an original), this time in English: Dancing on the Stars. Please react to it. Although she is fluent in three languages, she needed French lessons for Voila. See her sister, father and brother at 9:14. Mother back stage to reconnect her to her equipment.

This concert was in summer 2023 . Last summer she brought an tailor made new song "Dancing with the Stars ". Emma dosen't speak French at all End 2023 she performed some Christmas songs . Her version of "All I want for Christmas is you ", is better than Maria Carey's one . The human stomach is a muscled organ that mixes the food . Emma's stomach don't function sufficient .
Emma was diagnosed with gastropareses when she was 9 months old, and its not curable, she is hooked on to 2 feeding tubes 22 hours a day, due to her illness her life expectancy is that she is likely to live upto 10 years less than normal people she is only 1,50 and was bullied a lot, she is very petite due to her illness as well she is only 1,50 cm tall, a year later, she is 16 now, same stage, same place a new song Dancing on the Stars
Hi Dounia, i am against Israël, they are terrible with that war. I love your reaction by the way about Emma! This one was from last year, this year she was again with André Rieu in Maastricht and they are touring the world for 2nd year even!
I call it story signing. There is tonal variation meaning everything is not sung the same as you know. Dimash does this. It makes you feel. Its called vocal resonance or sound resonance. I wizld recommend watching some singers from the voice Australia but the winners & contestants. They are amongst the most gifted. Bella taylor Smith, Diano Rovais, tge curent winner Reuben , Angelina jordan, the talent shoes are revealing many but Australia voice pretty richly. God keep you & family safe. So sorry whats happening in Lebanon at thr moment.
Bullied by schoolkids because of her disease and is singing her song of life Listen to me, me, the singer-to-be Tell your lovers, your friends about me Tell them about this girl with the black eyes and the crazy dream. What I want is to write stories that will reach you. That's all Voilà, voilà, voilà, that's who I am. This is me, even when I lie open I'm afraid, yes This is me in the noise and in the silence Look at me, or at least what's left of me Look at me before I hate myself What shall I tell you that another's lips will not tell you? It's little, but it's all I have; I put it there. That's it Voilà, voilà, voilà, this is who I am This is me me, even if I lie open, it is finished This is my face, this is my scream, this is who I am Voilà, voilà, voilà, it's right here Me, my dream, my desire, how I go to ruin, how I laugh at it That's me in the noise and in the silence. Don't go, I beg you, stay for a long time. It may not save me, no But to live without you, I don't know how to do it. Love me like you love a friend who's going away forever I want people to love me because I can't like my outline Voilà, voilà, voilà, this is who I am This is me, even when I lie open, it's over This is me in the noise and also in the rage Look at me, and in the end also my eyes and my hands All I have is here, it's my face, it's my screaming This is me me, this is me me Voilà Voilà Voilà, voilà Voilà
May the prince if peace affect all people in the region. I hope we can play the ABBA song, "Happy new year" in the end of december....I loved to see you react on that song too ♥
Hi Dounia. Our prayers are with you. I hope there will be peace soon. If you want to listen to something else, try nightwish Ghost love score from Wacken concert 2013. Best I've ever heard. It is symphonic metal with beautiful melodys. The band is Finnish and the singer is Floor Jansen' she is Dutch. I think one of the best vocalists in the world.
Greetings from Czechoslovakia 🇨🇿 Oh my God. Another beautiful singing star named "Rita Richi" is born and begins to shine brightly in Russia. (32 years old) from the city of Krasnodar. th-cam.com/video/SROEm6YgWvo/w-d-xo.html
Always have tears in my eyes when watching this
The most incredible girl I've ever seen.
Thank you so much for your excellent reaction. EMMA KOK is my favorite. I listened "Voilà " 700 times and every time I cried 😭💞💯👋
A princess indeed! Emma is a God-given wonder to behold and a privilege to hear!
THANKS FOR YOU REACTION ❤️EMMA IS AMAZING. GREETINGS FROM THE NETHERLANDS. 💕💕🇳🇱
Thanks for watching!
Emma is an amazing talent. She does not allow her health problems hold her back. As to the war. I will pray that you remain safe. I was an American soldier in the Vietnam war. I know what a night mare war is. I hope some day people can learn to live together in peace. My prayers to you.❤
That was world class… seriously one of the best performances I have ever seen. You are right, Emma is a Princess.
the lyrics are incredible, deep, beautiful and the melodie is just so nice....a great performance for Emma ...so emotional !
🤗🍒🌹😘 well done and watch and listen to more of Emma, Emma's Hallelujah and Dancing with the stars for example
@@Mars-is4un The last song is Dancing ON the stars

Emma wasn't just singing, that night, she was living her dream, as she walked out on to that stage, mentally, she was the butterfly of her dream emerging from the cocoon and soaring high over that stage, the orchestra and that huge audience, it was the theme of her first single, LAAT MIJ EEN VLINDER ZIJN , let me be a butterfly
th-cam.com/video/Zcxan9R5s4E/w-d-xo.html
released 12 months earlier, a song written for her, and expressing her deep desire for freedom, to be able to rise above the limitations of her disease, Gastroparesis, which means that she's tied to 2 feeding pumps that push liquid nutrition into her stomach for 22 hours a day, she can only be free of the pumps for a maximum of 2 hours a day, sometimes less, and her stamina is not great, so there are times when she has to resort to using a wheelchair for mobility, so her time off the pumps when on stage is precious, her therapy.
Voila has had in excess of 70 million views on TH-cam alone, and a huge number of streams on other social media sites, bringing the total to well over 125 Million, and there's other work by her on TH-cam.
12 months later, she sang a new song, and that new song massively raised the bar of perfection that she'd set previously, and she massively cleared that new high bar with the performance, Dancing on the Stars,
th-cam.com/video/Ll1uR_HUOP8/w-d-xo.html
Emma has used the time she's been touring with Andre and the orchestra to watch, listen and learn, and the result is a massive lift in her ability, you were blown out of the water by Voila, you will want tissues for this one as well, it's sublime, and the top notes are mind blowing, both in terms of the range, and the duration, the best words I can use is to say that on several occasions, she delivers the equivalent of a vocal explosion, which devastates everything within earshot, she has such power, I don't know how, she's still tiny as a result of her illness, 1 Mtr 50, and only a little over 50 Kg, but she has worked on making sure she delivers incredible performances.
Some of her other songs from 2024 have been performed as part of the annual commemoration concerts to remember the huge number of lives lost in the Netherlands during the liberation of the country from German occupation, she performed in front of the Dutch Royal family and high ranking politicians, a duet with April Darby, 'When you believe', and it was a wonderful performance.
th-cam.com/video/YG8WV1GFt_c/w-d-xo.html
She also performed other songs during these concerts, a stunning performance of a technically difficult song, a Demi Levato cover of 'Father',
th-cam.com/video/YG8WV1GFt_c/w-d-xo.html
Another deeply emotional song from the same concert,
'Hero',
th-cam.com/video/rohP0V3ECRY/w-d-xo.html
From a different concert, 'You raise me up',
th-cam.com/video/NIXB7TbeMvw/w-d-xo.html
You mentioned princess, well, in the autumn, she appeared at a concert, previewing an event she's been booked for in January 2025, at the Ziggodome in Amsterdam, where she will perform 2 concerts with the Disney organisation, and this preview is stunning, both in terms of her power, and the quality of what she delivers, her stage presence is incredibly good, and her delivery of these well know songs is just sublime.
th-cam.com/video/rhALa-baZGA/w-d-xo.html
This is a huge event, in a massive venue, and then, as an indication of just how much her star has risen, after 2 guest appearances with Disney, only a week later, Emma will be appearing at the same venue with Andre Rieu, in a completely different event, as part of the 2025 world tour, which she's been booked for, a continuance of her appearances around the world,
Another Disney song, she recorded this at home in her own studio, from the film, 'The little mermaid', Ariel's song, 'Part of your world'
th-cam.com/video/itxs-aNyRJY/w-d-xo.html
She's also announced her first ever concert in her own name, it will be in Amsterdam in October 2025, at the national concert theatre, it was announced and sold out in 3 hours last week, and it will be a wonderful event, I was very happy to get tickets for it.
Other songs, with a Christmas theme, she did a wonderful performance for Dutch TV singing an orchestral arrangement of 'Hallelujah',
th-cam.com/video/9qVHQuPQud0/w-d-xo.html
Emma was a guest star in the Andre RIeu 2023 Christmas concert series, and sang several songs, a beautiful version of 'White Christmas', started A capella, with no guide note, and then Andre brings the orchestra in, before she's joined by other singers, a large event, you could have heard a pin drop as she started singing,
th-cam.com/video/ZZEyhG2bEeM/w-d-xo.html
Later in the same show, 'All I want for Christmas',
th-cam.com/video/xCBOVw7PErU/w-d-xo.html
One of Emma's first ever appearances, June 2020, with her brother Enzo, a special concert with no audience because of Covid, she was only 12 at the time, and a tiny 12 at that, but even then, her ability and quality was so evident,
th-cam.com/video/oMyqCs6zZP4/w-d-xo.html
There is so much more, and a search of TH-cam for Emma Kok will find a lot of her performances, my close is important, the only thing that can stop Emma now is her health, and that's why I am going to repeat my appeal to everyone listening or reading, if at all possible, please make a (regular) donation to Emma's foundation, who are working to find better treatments, or ideally, a cure for the illness that at the moment has no cure, and also can have devastating implications for sufferers, many of whom have taken their own lives as a result of the intense pressure and stress that the discipline of living with gastroparesis imposes on them.
Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl
Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and required her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes since she was 9 MONTHS old, for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure.
Thanks!
Thank you so much! 🤍🤍
Take Care.
Bedankt
Thank you so much! 🤍
She does not even speak french; she learned this phonetically!
It's on the same stage, one year later. th-cam.com/video/Ll1uR_HUOP8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=783hp9L10FVDN7g3
Also very impressive: 'Father' by Demi Lovato. She performed this 2 months after 'Voilá' at a WWII memorial in The Netherlands: th-cam.com/video/y554GsqMHj8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XTcJTAyMPurkM37E
Be safe!
Thanks for the reaction ❤
See her performance on MAX Kerstconcert with Halleluja. And Dancing on the Stars.
Listning her sing dancing om the stars
to listen deeply and then see the translation of the lyrics is heavenly.. moving.... inspiring and above all - move us to all care more.. do more and be more - especially in this time of political insanity.... thank you Dounia for being vulnerable to share with us all.
If you will, please start your journey here:

Peace and love from Bavaria!
Great reaction, you really got the spirit of it. Great TinTin collected edition too by the way.
God bless Lebanon. Stay safe 🙏🏼
I wish you peace❤
thanks for watching greets from Dutch its more than ilness very natural

Nice to see you again, Dounia! I am so sorry about the violent conditions! I meditate for wisdom and peace in the Middle East. Wish you and your loved ones strength and a soft heart in the middle of incomprehensibly cruel inhumane actions. 🍀

Andre Rieu invited Emma to join his World Tour after her Voila performance, this past July she performed on the same stage, this time with an original song *DANCING ON THE STARS* th-cam.com/video/Ll1uR_HUOP8/w-d-xo.html
Here's a Live Performance of *LAAT MIJ EEN VLINDER ZIJN (LET ME BE A BUTTERFLY)* th-cam.com/video/Vq__3YiPemM/w-d-xo.html This is a live performance from a music festival, Emma is singing her original song, it's upbeat and even has backup dancers! (The video has English subtitles). The song is about her wish to be free from her condition and live like everyone else, even if only for a few minutes.

yes, the dutch have a hard time speaking french, but emma does a great job., salutations de Belgique
She has the song Dancing on the Stars
Stay safe you beautiful person
The key change without orchestra reference is nearly unbelivable
Thanks for your comment Dounia, Emma doesn't speak French and she doesn't had French Lessons at school, this is how she did it. Hope you can follow it but it's funny how Emma learned the lyrics of VOILA ( th-cam.com/users/shortsW8feOFomG14?si=OkDIKJAN1XEfXvtt ) 🤣
Is a master piece and the beginning of a breakthrough for Emma worldwide. In a year's time she has done beautiful performances and they can be seen on youtube.

Réaction Emma cok dancing in the star
A year later, she sings Dancing in the Stars. It's truly amazing to see how much she developed her talent over the year
Watch her sing Hallelujah
Good
Another girl that was on that same stage with Andre Rieu is Amira Willighagen. She was by then just 10 years old singing the opera song O mio Babbino Caro. For sure also one to look up and watch!
See her new song Dancing on the Stars
Please review Emma Kok's new song "Dancing on the Stars"...it's the best yet !
⚡The Warning band⚡
This year, Emma sang an even more powerful song (an original), this time in English: Dancing on the Stars. Please react to it. Although she is fluent in three languages, she needed French lessons for Voila. See her sister, father and brother at 9:14. Mother back stage to reconnect her to her equipment.
I don't know if anyone wrote this - but Emma does not speak French - she learned the song knowing only Dutch -
I enjoyed your review. Here are links to other Emma performances:

i love Emma, but don't worry I love you to.
Heaven must be “Missing an Angel”……..
Andre Rieu is a big fan of TINTIN too, he has statues at his home.
ciao auguro che la guerra finisca, non meriti di soffrire, coraggio ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful reaction 😊❤🤗
It was both emotional and formative 😊
You have a like and sub from me
Thank you 🤗
This concert was in summer 2023 .
She loved the song and learned French to sing it.
Stay safe!
Next Lara Fabian....
First Emma Kok 😉
Emma reminds me of Lara. They have the same emotional integrity.

Be sure to watch her Voice Kids performances: th-cam.com/video/20gXikNRjbo/w-d-xo.html
Bullied by schoolkids because of her disease and is singing her song of life
Listen to me, me, the singer-to-be
Tell your lovers, your friends about me
Tell them about this girl with the black eyes and the crazy dream.
What I want is to write stories that will reach you.
That's all
Voilà, voilà, voilà, that's who I am.
This is me, even when I lie open I'm afraid, yes
This is me in the noise and in the silence
Look at me, or at least what's left of me
Look at me before I hate myself
What shall I tell you that another's lips will not tell you?
It's little, but it's all I have; I put it there.
That's it
Voilà, voilà, voilà, this is who I am
This is me me, even if I lie open, it is finished
This is my face, this is my scream, this is who I am
Voilà, voilà, voilà, it's right here
Me, my dream, my desire, how I go to ruin, how I laugh at it
That's me in the noise and in the silence.
Don't go, I beg you, stay for a long time.
It may not save me, no
But to live without you, I don't know how to do it.
Love me like you love a friend who's going away forever
I want people to love me because I can't like my outline
Voilà, voilà, voilà, this is who I am
This is me, even when I lie open, it's over
This is me in the noise and also in the rage
Look at me, and in the end also my eyes and my hands
All I have is here, it's my face, it's my screaming
This is me me, this is me me
Voilà
Voilà
Voilà, voilà
Voilà
Lieve the country as quickly as possible !!!
Let those people free than this is not only one side be real
May the prince if peace affect all people in the region. I hope we can play the ABBA song, "Happy new year" in the end of december....I loved to see you react on that song too ♥
Please save Lebanon and Gaza ❤
This isn't just a win for America. It is a win for the world!!!! ❤ TRUMP ❤
Please please please do her performance of "dancing on the stars". It is phenomenal.
