There's another thing that really strikes me about her when she's talking about this illness. She's so matter of fact about it. I don't pick up on a shred of self-pity, just hey this is my life this is the way it is, and I'm not going to let this thing stand in my way. She's not cocky, she's not proud, she's so humble, yet determined. Damn what a wonderful example this girl is. Just exceptional. Like many of us, I just run out of words to describe her at some point...
So glad you are covering Emma like you are. You have a lot of viewers and can help get her story out there. But most of all help the world get to know Emma. She's amazing. I myself never knew of her until she sang Voila. Now I don't miss anything she does. Love her Christmas songs with Andre. Thank you for giving her the attention she deserves.
Same here for me.
It’s beautiful to see Emma talk openly and clearly she is as confident as any 30 year old it’s incredible but it makes sense to me
It's impossible not to love the amazing courage of this lovely person, to not appreciate her beautiful voice. she is a force in our future.
Oh what a beautiful wonderful voice like an angel, her song goes deep into the soul and makes tears flow, her song is not just a song but a state of mind.
Andre is a fantastic guy I have been fortunate enough to obtain tickets for the concert in Kracow Poland on June 1st I’m from the UK a 61years young 😂man the reason I am going to the show is essentially because of ✨Emma ✨there you have it she is the one ✨
I'm 63 year young Brit in Channel Islands. Have a ticket for Holland 12/7/24. Just 1,000 kilometer drive. Somethings, to see Emma sing, you have to go that extra mile for. I'm sure we'll all enjoy the concerts.
I think this is after winning voice kids - showing school. look at the size of that back pack - ALWAYS carrying it!
What a joy to see Emma smiling after the previous bullying. Thanks, Alex.
On Christmas day, five million fans of Helene Fischer watched Emma sing Voila as a duet with the greatest popular singer of our age.
That's progress!
Emma Kok sings Part of your world is also beautiful
The parallel lives of Emma Kok and Putri Ariani, despite the geographical distance that separates them, unfold as remarkably similar narratives. Both confronted the challenges of being born with profound disabilities, navigating a difficult path marked by the unkindness of peers who failed to comprehend their conditions. What sets these two extraordinary individuals apart is not only their resilience in the face of adversity but also their shared commitment to making a positive impact.
Both Emma and Putri have transformed their personal struggles into a source of inspiration by establishing foundations aimed at providing assistance and support to others grappling with similar issues. In the face of doubt and adversity, they exhibited unwavering determination to cultivate their musical talents. Through their journey, they have resoundingly demonstrated that their disabilities are not impediments but rather unique facets of their identity.
Their dedication to honing their musical prowess has allowed Emma and Putri to defy expectations and showcase to the world that their disabilities do not define their capabilities. Despite the challenges they've faced, both have emerged as humble and remarkable young women, gaining widespread recognition for the sheer beauty of their voices. Their mesmerizing performances now bring joy and inspiration to audiences, serving as a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the transformative nature of music.
She is an absolute lovable girl, struggling for live since her childhood. And then on stage she is a Grand Little Lady. Emma the whole world loves and admires you, many millions.
Hi Alex, Any idea what those two pumps and the liquidfood weights (around 5 kilo;s). She carries them around in a rucksack. If you look at her from beside you can see what that did to her spine. She has a hollow back.
I pray it's not gone cause her problems in the future. She has already enough misfuortune.
Thank you so much to go beyond her performances. It makes us even more aware how brave she is.
You add another level of appreciation for her.
Thank you for your reaction!I am so happy that young people are now hearing the beauty of music that we our generation heard in our youth. Fantastic that Emma Kok has this gift. Many 10-some years of not hearing this quality of voice and feeling. Bravo Emma!!
My oldest son broke is back in three places in a car accident 10 years ago, he was not suppose to walk he is a miracle. He has screws and bolts along his spine. He is 37 years old today, he can't work, he is in pain 24/24 but he always smile, always in a good mood, he enjoy life. Emma is a warrior.
Elder, not oldest.
@@Walter-qp3wr my first language is French, sorry if I hurt your feelings lolll! Can you speak and write in French?
@@laboheme4395 my mother tongue (not first language) is Spanish, not English. I think that most of people in Europa speaks English too. French people is the first in remarking accent or bad orthography when no French people speaks or writes. I feel no hurts for your English.
What gets me is this. First, consider that "eating" and "food" are foundational aspects of civilizations. Having a "meal" with your clan/flamily/community/etc. is so very fundamental to life and relationships. She never has that shared experience. She is isolated in that way. Second, consider eating food and how it impacts YOU. To taste the best foods, the comfort of a warm soup when you are sick, special meals for your birthday or celebrations, to experience other cultures through their food, etc. She will never have that experience. Her illness is not like being born with one hand or being small or anything like that. Not being able to "eat" food is profoundly impactful. That really gets to me when I think about how much of a loss that is.
Yes, it's so sad - but so inspirational. When you watch her just going about her daily activities, unless she's talking about her condition, you would never know she had this problem at all. Such a great attitude; just a normal young teenager living, having fun, enjoying life. "Remarkable" hardly describes it.
Yes..this is tragic..and yet she is strong and confident in herself. We must all pray for a cure..pray for her daily and donate to her foundation.
Emma performed her (2nd) single 'Strijder' (Dutch for 'Warrior') during this event, right after that exchange with the presenter. And she did an amazing job! Perhaps for a next time...?
Je to nádherná a talentovaná mladá bytosť- nech ju neopustí zdravie a šťastie.
Andre Rieu's world tour is starting tonight in Amsterdam, 5/1/24. Emma had stated she couldn't wait, wishing her all the best from the UK.
Agreed. She is a brave little thing.
5/1/24 in English is May 1st!
So you mean 1/5/24

To avoid confusion, (US and UK schemes are different) I advise everyone to write dates as 05JAN2024 or 01MAY2024 ... ... ... and then: Voila!
For the people who don't know: She said that that she would perform on Margraten memorial day. That is the cemetary in the Netherlands for the American soldiers who died and gave their life for our freedom during second worldwar. Dutch families adopted graves to put flowers and to honour the soldier on behalf of his American family, they feel honored to keep the grave nice and put flowers there. It goes often from generation to generation. My mom always said that if we weren't liberated we should have speak German now.
Real warrior, yes. But we may not forget, before "Voila" she was bullied by other kids in the school. They were mean to her all the time. It's not acceptable.
We tried to stop bullying here in The Netherlands years ago, but it didn't work! As a red head I now what that means! But what doesn't brake you makes you stronger. It never stopped me from doing things I like.
Strijder.
So cruel..
