  • I'll show you how to make 4 leveling feet for under 20 bucks.
Everybody needs leveling feet in their workshop, don't spend more money than necessary, build it yourself using common goods.
    You'll need a m20 threaded rod, 4 m20 washers, 12 m20 nuts and 4 icehockey pucks
you can buy the icehockey pucks here: amzn.to/3JZOnV1

Christoph, this is very helpful video. It may look simple but it is a critical piece of the design and you helped me a lot. I am building the stand for my milling machine and following your videos. Thank you.

I was just about to spend way too much on some leveling mounts for my recumbent motorcycle frame jig and thought - there's gotta be a better way to do this! found your video, excellent idea! Hockey pucks on order from amazon and large diameter threaded rods from bolt depot, less than half the cost of what I was going to get and you couldn't even level it under load! genuis! great video.

Hallo, gute Idee.

These are very light duty. I tried using hockey puck but net result was exploding rubber. I.e. this is not good for loads over say 1000 lbs.

To what machine weight would you use these leveling feet?

    • @ChristophLehner

i have it on my mill and on my lathe, the weigh ~500kg.
I would say 1 ton is the max i would trust the hockey pucks. Above that i probably would use something made out of metal.
