Have a look at making form tools out of High Speed Steel for your radii.
Is your lathe CNC controlled? Those ball ends are not easy to do by hand. They turned out great!
Yes CNC controlled. It would indeed be difficult to do by hand.

if you need a lathe and a machine shop, it's not "diy".
