    This movie had some impact on me. I was expecting another sophomoric ski comedy romp, and they hit you with some real powerful shit in Aspen Extreme. I was floored.

    I watched this movie the first time because Paul Gross was in Due South, which was a great show. Also, Mystery Date is an excellent enjoyable movie! Very much like Blind Date with Bruce Willis (when he had hair) but slightly better. I have Aspen Extreme in my movie collection. Who would have thought Peter Berg would have become the biggest name from that film.

    Still one of my favorite movies ever. The first Blu-ray I ever bought, years ago (I was blown away by how nice it looked). I could never get tired of watching this movie... just like RAD, Gleaming the Cube and Poolhall Junkies. Thanks for the super-entertaining review. I literally still get the chills when Robin makes the "announcement" over the radio.

    Your channel rules! You have effectively taught me to look for the good in every movie. I just saw The Ridiculous Six just because it had 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I wanted to reinforce my disdain for review aggregator sites. And yes, I admit that the movie was quite bad, but it wasn't 0% bad. And it has freakin' Vanilla Ice in it! As Mark Twain!!! And for goodness' sake, THE ROOM has 35%! It just doesn't really make sense to me. Such silly percentages and numbered ratings just make people look at movies so objectively, instead of watching them and making a fair personal evaluation. Anyway, my point is: Thank you, Cecil!

    • @James_Bee
      @James_Bee 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because it's "internet cool" to hate Adam Sandler. Honestly, while the movie is indeed "Ridiculous", I found myself laughing at it just as much as I ridiculed it.
      The fly home went too far, though.

      +athoopes Great to hear! Thank you :)
      One of the reasons I started this was because there was too much negativity going on in reviewing. It seemed that everyone forgot that movies were supposed to be fun. Sure, there are bad movies but many that get tagged as "the worst thing ever this week" usually aren't as bad as they are deemed.

I understand if you haven’t really heard of these movies (Gunless was a good comedy though) as they centre on Canadiana.
