Anniversaries are always so interesting to see in video game history. Sometimes they give you good games and good collectibles, but sometimes they give you Sonic 06.
Something I love about a game series anniversary is that companies provide unique and stylish logos. My personal favorite was the Sonic 30th and Bomberman 33rd anniversary logos. They fit the series so well. Anyways, congrats on a successful first anniversary kiro, cheers! 🎉
I remember that I found your channel through your video about the Super Mario Land games appearing in my recommendations and I saw it was like your third or fourth ever video so I went ahead and watched the other videos that came out before it. I have since watched every video of yours either the same day they came out or a day after or just sometime soon after so I've seen every single video. Trust me as somebody who has been on TH-cam since 2008 and it wasn't until at some point in 2022 that I finally got over 2,000 subscribers which by the way I made it to over 1,000 subscribers in 2013 so it took way longer to get the 2000 from 1,000, and now since changing the type of content I upload which is primarily shorts, I got above 6,000 subscribers in about a year, I mean I feel great for this growth that I had recently but it was extremely discouraging being on this platform for so long and not even being able to get the 2000 for the longest time. So yeah I think you're doing quite well for yourself getting the 45,000 in a year. You've done a good job uploading content that has a greater chance of showing in someone's recommendations which therefore leads to views and subscribers and since their content is entertaining enough the subscribers such as myself want to keep watching them so yeah You've done a damn good job!
Congrats on your 1 year on TH-cam Kiro! Been watching you for the better half of 5 months I believe but every time I see one of your video's I'm pretty excited because I watch them while I eat my food lol. But keep up the great work, consistent uploads and amazing quality, and I wish you nothing but success and happiness!
Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition on the Wii was what any video game anniversary title should strive to be. Six classic Kirby games, a Return to Dreamland-like challenge stage mode, a soundtrack CD, an interactive timeline, a celebration booklet, and three episodes of the Kirby anime packed into one bundle.
Happy anniversary to this channel! I've been watching most of your videos since the first few months of this channel, so I'm happy you've been doing and feeling well with your channel!
I’m glad I’ve been here since the beginning, and I can’t believe it’s already been one year! Happy birthday Kiro! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
Anniversary in games are indeed the best when it comes to celebrating the franchises. Capcom, Konami, Nintendo and Sega are the prime examples of celebrating their game’s longevity.
Mega Man 8 on the Sega Saturn had a few more things that could be considered bonuses due to the Anniversary, compared to the PlayStation version. There was an art gallery with a lot of concept art, character renders, chibi and even fan art sent for the design a Robot Master competition. Also, there were two secret extra bosses, Cut Man and Wood Man, from Mega Man 1 and 2, respectively (the first game and the most popular and best seller in the franchise back in the day), along with remixed themes, dialogue and dub for them.
Hey Kiro, congrats on the anniversary. I just wanted to say, your videos are super fun to watch and help me get through my daily tasks. Whether it's doing chores or working on art, your work is always super entertaining to listen and watch. Keep up the great work!
I feel like one of the franchises that gets the least attention when it comes to anniversaries is Kirby. Kirby has always had the pleasure of celebrating his anniversaries in a big way along with the fans who have followed the franchise since the beginning. The most notorious are the following: - The 20th Anniversary we had a collection of Kirby games until the most recent one that came out worldwide. Similarly, there were several team-centric events in Japan centered around Kirby. - The 25th Anniversary we had several Kirby Spin-Off along with several exclusive events in Japan. In the same way, the merchandise reached its highest point in that anniversary since merchandise came out for many Kirby characters that had been forgotten and had a resurgence thanks to Kirby Star Allies (this game can be considered a celebration for the 25th Anniversary since it not only brought back many forgotten Kirby characters, but also raised the popularity of the Kirby characters that were already popular: not to mention that they all came as Playable Characters in free DLC at no extra cost) - The 30th Anniversary was celebrated by bringing with it the first Main Kirby game in 3D, one more Spin-Off and a Remake/Remaster of one of the Kirby games that revived the franchise and returned to the public eye. Similarly, in Japan, they had an exclusive concert celebrating the Kirby franchise and their most iconic or most memorable songs from each Kirby game. It is not for nothing that there is a joke that Kirby celebrates its anniversary better compared to Mario, Link or Donkey Kong.
I kinda hate it when Nintendo fans only picking the most popular franchise instead of Kirby, Sure you could pick it, But the things you will say about the things are Kirby already did and way better such as Anniversary for example.
I actually originally did plan to talk about a Kirby anniversary for this video but I ended up cutting it out. Kirby did have some cool anniversary events, so I'll try to incorporate the series next time!
7:48 The team wars were definitely intense. I was visiting at a friend's house the week Pokémon Go came out, and I remember that when I came back home, my family were astounded that I chose a different team than them. They'd work together to go against my team lol.
I never played a Splatoon, which game should I start with? I’ve been wanting to get into the series for a while but never got the chance. Also last year was Arms 5th Anniversary and it got nothing, I bring it up because it had the potential to become the next Splatoon and it started off on Switch and the release year of the Switch as well 2017.
@@brandonwilliams6119 Definitely start with Splatoon 3, watching some videos on the game will help you out. Also it really pisses me off that Arms didn't pan out. I think the marketing was kinda of bad for that game, plus it got abandoned early on, it didn't even get a full year off content.
Kirby’s 30th anniversary was absolutely amazing bro. Even the 20th was worth note. Hal really celebrates Kirby to the best of their abilities, shame he didn’t get a mention
I have been watching you ever since the first ever video you have uploaded and I have been watching your videos religiously, your content is great and really enjoyable, happy 1st anniversary Kiro!
Wow it’s already been a year? It feels like just yesterday I discovered Kiro, My favorite video has to be where he talks about the Super Mario Land series and all the cool things about it, nevertheless all the content put out is very to fun and informative to watch (I never knew about the Sonic Adventure 2 Book, Album, Coin and Birthday Celebration, that almost made me cry, kid me would’ve loved that) Kiro’s videos are also not too long or too short, they’re just the right amount of length. Congrats on the 45K+ Subscribers and here’s to another year of Kiro Goodness!
I don't look back on old videos often, but I do like the way the Super Mario Land video turned out. Thanks for sticking around, and I greatly appreciate the support!
I know it's a series that has largely lacked a presence outside of Japan, but Puyo Puyo has consistently released games with a bunch of returning characters and a large selection of modes to commemorate its anniversaries since 15th Anniversary released back in 2006. Even Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, the oddball in this discussion considering it didn't throw in nearly as many modes as the other anniversary titles, has BY FAR the largest character roster of any traditional Puyo game. It started at an already series record of 28 characters at launch, increasing to 40 characters after 3 waves of free DLC.
I love this channel i wish there are more people like kiro or doing videos like him and his way,i just really love the way the videos are presented good on you kiro!

HAL Labs always gives us some banger Kirby anniversaries. The 10th and 15th saw remakes of the beloved Adventure and Super Star, respectively. The 20th anniversary gave us Dream Collection, containing the first six mainline titles, New Challenge Stages based on Return to Dream Land, an interactive series timeline containing three anime episodes, a commemoration book containing art and behind the scenes on every game in the series, and a bonus CD containing 2-4 songs from every game in the series. It was incredible, and the only unfortunate part was that it never released in PAL regions. The 25th anniversary saw three eShop releases, including our first taste of 3D Kirby, as well as Star Allies during the last month of the anniversary. Star Allies had so much fanservice, brought back a ton of characters with Smash Bros.-like movesets, and contained some massive lore revelations. The 30th anniversary finally gave us a mainline 3D Kirby game, our first Ball Kirby spinoff since Rainbow Curse, an HD remaster of the anime in Japan (the first rerelease of the anime since the Kirby TV Channel on the Wii), and a full remake of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land. These anniversaries also came with tons of merchandise, and some incredible concerts for 25th and 30th. I first saw you from your video comparing Sonic 2 and CD, but I subscribed around the time of your disc art video, and I’ve since been enjoying your style of discussion and exploration on video game topics. Congrats on the 1-year and 50-video milestones! Here’s to many more.
I actually did take advantage of that mythical Pokémon distribution back when I was playing the games on my 3DS, and that was actually the first time I had ever officially gotten Mew for one of the main series games. Cause back in the Game Boy days you could have only gotten Mew from being at official Nintendo events, which I was never able to go to at the time. It was also my first time obtaining Celebi since we kind of missed out on a lot of the distributions Japan had for that Pokémon.

When you get channels that do, Kirby's delivered with a great collection, Mario was ok if All-stars again and OST besides Mario35 and 3D Allstars...., Gran Turismo 6&7 and Forza Motorsport 6 messed it up with bad games so that's great they never learned.
Completely off topic, but I'd love to see you upload a video showing us how you make your videos and what you use. Your audio is perfect, you never say "um" so I assume you make a script (even though you don't sound like you're reading)... it's all just very impressive. I have to make recorded presentations in grad school and I seem like a total amateur when I speak during these PowerPoint presentations. I'd love to know your secrets.
My process isn’t anything too special haha I use a lot of free products like Google Docs to write scripts, Audacity for recording audio (I use an old Blue Yeti Microphone), and OBS to record footage. I go back and remove any breathes or long pauses to make the audio flow better. Da Vinci Resolve is a great free program you can use to edit videos. You can use Paint(dot)NET or Gimp for making Thumbnails, both are good and free too. This is just a quick rundown of what I do, but I could possibly do a full breakdown in the future.

Heck yeah
