  • miRNA | micro RNA mechanism of gene silencing - This lecture explains about the details mechanism of miRNA gene silencing. The process of micro rna or miRNA mediated gene silencing will be clearly explained with the help of this video lecture. Microrma is a type of rna interference or RNAi type of small double stranded rna with endogenous origin inside the cell and it cleaves target rna before the translation process. Stay tuned to this video to learn the following -
    What is Microrna?
    How micro rna produced?
    How micro rma works?
    Microrna mechanism
    MiRNA mediated gene silencing mechanism
Principle of miRNA mediated gene silencing.
This lecture will be helpful for CSIR net, Gate, icmr jrf, ICAR net, bet, JNU, ncbs, IISER PhD entrance exams.

A huge respect from Pakistan Sir...
Sir I have heard that the AGO2 protein is not activated in miRNA case that's why it's target mRNA either repress by translation fectors or degrade by exonuclease enzymes.
The cleavage will only possible when 100% complementary occur between the miRNA to it's target mRNA which is very rare.
    I could be wrong.

Hello sir I'm Anup studing Bsc in Bangalore , just now I watched your video on mechanism of miRNA in that you said that the PIWI domain of Argonaut has catalytic motifs that actually cleaves the phosphodiester linkage
But i watched another animated video for simple visualisation in that they said that 5' end which is attached at PIWI domain is not perfectly positioned and cannot cleave mRNA ... instead they said a protein called TRNC 6 containing glycine tryptophan repeats repress translation and cleave mRNASo could please clarify my doubt mentioned above .... I'm getting bit confused that who actually cleaves the mRNA
