The trick is to get them to hide in the bristles of a broom, then you toss the broom outside for a while, and bring it back in later. The map on the tablet is showing them on Wanneroo Road. The ocean view glimpsed at 9.22 is at the Wedge Island lookout turning on Indian Ocean Drive, so that's the way they went. The drive from Perth to Geraldton (Gerra to the locals) is further than people think and tiredness, poor concentration and impatience are the major cause of the crashes. I've done the run many times and seen a few near misses. There's a marked lack of facilities on this route, so the roadside loo at Nilgen, 15 km north of the Lancelin turn-off is useful. Oh, and a tip; take a short break in either Jurien Bay (it's the halfway point) or Leeman, some 44 km further north, which has the cheapest fuel on the route, though JB's price is usually only a couple of cents more. Both places are cheaper than Gerra... The Leeman servo's on the main drag and Leeman's a quiet, peaceful little place. Nice little grassed area there, plus a loo, in Thomas Steet, right at the water's edge, alongside the jetty and a play area there for the kids, too.
