    have you found any way to mix mask modes rather than doing one and then after apply, opening the same tool to mask a different area with a different tool? Sometimes it is handy to use mask 3 for example to select the sky but using the same adjustment be able to use the brush for another area. I know one can't desire to make different adjustments without going through the apply & re-do which is normal. Nice if that was possible but .... In Color going into "more" lots of other items to use to do localized adjustments. However, many times one can simply use the Edit > Quick menu to either accomplish the task or get an idea of the direction to go with other tools. EG using HDR to give a quick look and then use a mask or adjust the amount etc. Be careful with Magic Color as it tends to emphasize the yellows in an image and that can negatively effect white things like bridal gowns, shirts etc.
    BTW Nathan just by accident I discovered how to return from the edited image to Viewer -- Ctrl + 1 . I accidentally hit those two keys and bingo. Thought others that may not know might have use for the tip.
    Oh, BTW in the group image, your photo was the easiest to fix as the lighting while slightly underexposed was consistent over your whole face whereas others like siblings and you Father had hot spots from the lights. An overall lightening of the image also could have been done or opening up the shadows in the Quick Menu or a quick check with HDR would help then move to the hot spots and try to adjust but keep in mind the highlights are essentially blown. A RAW image might have enough information to be adjusted.

      So far I haven't been able to find a way how to mix the mask. The reason why someone might want to do it all separately anyways is because you could be able to undo it step by step.

      I also prefer editing using Photoscape X over Photoshop because it's lightweight and very easy to use. And your video is helpful.

    Nathan - thank you for your tutorials. I may actually be able to use my PhotoScape now.
    Is there a way to change a portrait photo of a face into a landscape photo? I am trying to upload to a ViewMaster vendor who will make Reels for my daughter. They say landscape photos are best but almost all of my photos are in portrait layout. And they would like 1400 x 1250. They will work with higher or lower numbers if necessary. Is there a way for me to change my 3456 x 2578 or will those do fine? Thanks for your help ~Tina

      You can send them those images full size and they’ll be able to resize them down really easily. You can resize them yourself if you would like in PhotoScape X. Just look up PhotoScape X Resizing.

    Nathan, how do you change the color black to white? Replacement doesn't seem to work. I have a cut-out troll doll that I'll eventually change to png for transparent background. But when I tried to take the black out in the cut-out, it left black streaks in the hair which I do not want! i was able to change to a white background, but the black in the hair remains. What to do! Please help.

    How can you search by the metadata in this program? I can only utilize the metadata if it is under a group title, not the "image description ".

      That’s a good question I’ll have to look into that

    I used this tip to brighten eyes in a couple of photos using Photoscape X, however afterwards I noticed it make the overall color of the photo more vivid. I then checked and even just viewing unaltered pics in Photoscape does this. How can I make it not do this?

    • @BriNathanCollins
      @BriNathanCollins  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is really on, are you saving it out as the same file type?

    • @Alsayid
      @Alsayid 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BriNathanCollins Same file type, jpg. For some reason Photoscape displays, and saves, files with more vivid colors than the originals. Green backgrounds are greener, skin tones are more saturated, and it was especially apparent in a much redder dress.

      @@BriNathanCollins Update: I tested this using pics I took with my dSLR, and the colors it displays are exactly the same as the original. The vivid enhance effect was done to cell phone pics sent to me over FB messenger. Strange.
