- I made a poll asking people to vote for the most annoying zombies in Plants vs. Zombies 2, here are the results! Please watch the small intro to know how the scoring worked. Thanks to everyone that participated in making this possible :)

octo is a literally more annoying wizard, it disables plants, but the octopi don't go away upon the octozombies defeat, unlike the wizard's cursed sheep

The one nice thing about that is, if you have a lot of Starfruit or Snapdragons, they get destroyed pretty fast.

@@novahelixable6685 I feel like octo zombie is more annoying than wizard zombiebecause with wizard zombie he's very easy to kill because he has the health of a basic zombie and not only that once you kill wizard zombie your plants are now not a sheep.

Holy crap your right it counter so many. Any lobbing projectile zombies could be nullified. Zcorpion, Julius ceaser zombies, helpdesk zombie, all imp throws (I think I am not sure if it could block those in PvZ1), potentially imp cannon, maybe prospector?, maybe dodo bird?, and many more. It would be a stationary parasol zombie that had 3x3 radius
Not only does it have so many good uses, it would be great in bwb because umbrellas are often brought to beaches.
Honestly, Umbrella Leaf within Pvz2 kinda sounds overpowered for the potential of blocking aerial zombies or zombie attacks that are launched or are swooping into your defenses, such as what @Blue Kirby said.
I'll also add onto that in which Swashbuckler Zombies and Relic Hunter Zombies would also be hardcountered by Umbrella Leaf, as well as the brains thrown from Cardio Zombie, the missiles shot from Zomboss Mechs and Z-Mech, the Bot Swarm Ambush would also be completely nullified by Umbrella Leaf, Roman Caesar Zombie's thrown imperial salad dressing would also be deflected by Umbrella Leaf, bones thrown from Tomb Raiser Zombies wouldn't do anything, -lobbed projectiles reflected from a Jester Zombie would also be deflected from an Umbrella Leaf- actually they would not since they're not lobbed back at you through the air lol (ive crossed this out), the Lost Pilot Zombie's and Zcorp HelpDesk Zombie's Parachute Rain Ambush would also be completely nullified by Umbrella Leaf, Zcorp Helpdesk's lobbed labtop would also be deflected from Umbrella Leaf, the zombie thrown from Zcorp Chair Racer would also be instantly killed from Umbrella Leaf, Carnie Cannon's overpowered Carnie Imp would also be deflected from an Umbrella Leaf, Super-Fan Imps kicked from an All-Star Zombie would also be deflected from an Umbrella Leaf, and Disco Jetpack Zombies summoned from a Disco-tron 3000 would also be destroyed by an Umbrella Leaf.

I think the reason Buckethead and Conehead were so high on the list is due to how common they are in later waves. Sure, they aren't that special, but they will be spammed to the limit in some levels.
For Buckethead i could see how they would be annoying, but conehead being that high was definitely a troll campaign

I don’t really think about that happygav because plants like shadow pea fume shroom dusk lobbed water Mellon pull and other multi hit plants that just erase the whole lane
there's definitely certain levels in the game, where they'll treat Buckethead Zombies like common zombies, especially in BWB where they'll spawn in an overabundance in a low tide, having about 5-8 bucketheads in your defense, while the 20 that just spawned from a flag wave are eating your walls (unless octozombie already covered them) fun world!

One thing that doesn't help is that, unlike in the first game, zombie items are indestructible in this one. The closest thing to the excavator in PvZ1 is the ladder zombie and his ladder is destructible, meaning you could potentially use straight shot plants to destroy his ladder. Excavator ain't having that, his shovel's apparently made of plotarmorum.
It's almost like PVZ2 is pay to win and designed to be blatantly unfair

I think it's more like they're forcing certain plants to be used, maybe as a consequence of plant food and the leveling system. It's very rock paper scissor, it's not flexible like it was.

Fun fact: Octo Zombie attacks are predictable. He binds plants on his row first, if there are no active plants on his row he will attack the plants on adjacent rows
So this zombie literally has a plan.
Step 1: Stop plants in his row from killing him
Step 2: Stop plants in others from killing him

So are Wizard Zombies. Place a puff Shroom on the lane he is in, make sure it isn't very close. Next up, place a Fume Shroom on his lane a bit further from him as he is very slow when moving and trying to transform sheep as after he transforms one plant in his lane into a sheep, he won't transform another one again as he will transform the ones on the other lane instead and will continue to do so until he reaches a plant very close to him in his lane.
12:45 The excavator zombies is very smart. Heck. They use golden shovels, cause gold can't be attracted to magnets.
Gold is also soft, though. If the Ladder Zombie from PvZ1 can have his ladder be destroyed, his shovel shouldn't be indestructible.

What I hate about Octo zombie is he never attacks a plant himself, even when one is close to him, he’ll just throw his octopus at it, and proceed down the lawn.

I've got a personal grudge against the Poncho zombie because whenever I tried to beat the vase breaker levels for the wild west segment I'd usually get screwed over by how tanky they were when metal and how you might overinvest in one when it turns out to be plain. Outside of vase breaker though since you can set up your defense however they are much less annoying though I swear they spawn rather early on in levels for such an early world

I actually found out that Rotobaga from Frostbite Caves is actually a pretty decent counter against octos, if you place them in a cone shape, they will be able to deal with any octos being thrown at them while the other plants are taking down the big octo from behind and in addition they are pretty good to bait out fishermen zombies too, since they are a flying plant they won't drown if pushed into the water.
100% expecting Wizard and Octo in the top 2. And also let's be honest,if there wasn't Infi-nut,Fisherman would be n°1 by far (expected Cardio to be a little higher... Zcorpion on the other hand, I expected to be a lot higher). And sometimes I wonder how a Robo-Bucket Zombie would place if he was actually a thing. 11:46 These guys actually have more HP than a BRICKHEAD just by having rocks tied to his hands and different clothing fashion...

If the chinese version was allowed then cavalry would be VERY high (for those who don't know, it's a knight zombie that rides a fast horse, insta kills the first plant it comes across leaving a gravestone-like object, and walks normally leaving a very strong horse and a knight for you to deal with, so a combo of football zombie and bull rider champion)
Edit:oh yea,i forgot about the princess imp which summons THREE OF THEM in different lanes, thanks for telling me about it.
In that case include the fairytale gargantuar too. It has 10 times the health of a normal gargantuar, leaves behind a shield like a surfer zonbie except it takes 12 coconut cannon shots to destroy, and sometimes drops an imp that runs away and you need to kill in one second or it spawns 3 of the cavalry zombies you mentioned.
Gonna be honest, push shroom hard counters cavalry zombie. Atleast for its first dash, the queen imp or knight garg is way more annoying, knight is a garg but with way more health while the queen imp when fallen it’ll run away and summon 3 cavalry zombies.

I sorta agree with this list. To be real through, I didn't notice some of the annoyances since at one point the lightning reed became my standard plant for at least half the time. The sheer number of reeds would rip through waves since they cross lane chain. If there was a weakness to that, I'd have a lot of one use plants (chili, poison shroom, primal potato mine, iceberg, etc.) and I'd use primal walnut for tanking.

Octo zombie sometimes forces me to use a lawnmover to activate my plants again. You can't even shovel octopi
Preemptively shovel the plant after the octopus was thrown so the octopus does nothing, or bring hot potato.
Or just go aggro repeater/pea pod/rotobaga and brute force through the octopus

I think you're undervaluing the knight and king zombies. With lower sun you can plant less, but with the threat of jester your heavy damaging plants (repeater, winter melon etc.) Are effectively disabled, therefore knights take less damage. You are also rushed to kill them too in case wizards are in the game. Furthermore the knights keep getting galvanised by the king so even if you bring magnet shroom or something the king could render the ability useless.

And don't forget it can do it when they're losing their helmets, and the fact that you're likely using fume-shroom. It can last forever if you're unlucky. Cherry Bomb is a must-have in the last 6 levels.

Well you can use infinut plant food to completely eliminate Fisherman's gimmick. And you can't counter Wizard that easily

@@adweck still though, in Dark Ages, I don’t remember lots of wizards being on the field at one given point, so you could just cherry bomb them and your plants would return to normal

fisherman is immune to every ground plant, can't move nor eat (potato mines, chili bean or hypno shroom doesn't work) and you have to plant a lily pad next to it if you plan on planting any other instakill to kill it (except tangle kelp, but it sucks)

4:11 Reason why Imp Dragon is high to some people is cause he’s a detriment to all fire plants, seeing how he’s immune to fire. If you have your whole lane filled with fire peas and he’s in that lane, considered that lawnmower lost cause he’s going to eat through that lane with little to no retaliation

The healer is actually way more annoying. When he dies, he leaves his staff behind which continues healing zombies. And the worst part about him is that he can FREAKING DEHYPNOTIZE ZOMBIES.
Good thing i don't use Hypno Shroom or Caulipower, not into "hypnotizers" and only stick to Zoybean Pod and Turkey Pult
Not to mention: in Penny's pursuit zomboss battles, he can return zomboss to PHASE FREAKING ONE.
Apart from the obvious troll picks, you can tell that a lot of the people that took the survey never got past the first few worlds.
It's annoying to them because those are the zombies that made them quit before seeing anything else that's worse. I would have expected Neon Mixtape Tour and Big Wave Beach zombies to be high up on the list, but not Ancient Egypt and Dark Ages. (The exceptions being Wizard, Jester, etc.)
That's understandable if you never played PvZ1, since that game was basically a tutorial for the sequel.
Most players would jump into PvZ2 with the same mind-set, not knowing how more engaging this game is going to be. That's probably why Ra Zombie is that far up because they added an enemy that actually forces the player to be more active. That's something the first game barely did outside of mini-games and certain levels.
This also proved the comment I made on that poll video.
There are so many zombies that have similar abilities that are on the list, or are close in tier to one another. Worse, there are zombies that are essentially just upgraded versions of the ones shown in the video but are either not on the tier list, or the first variants have more votes than the former.
Ra Zombie #41, Explorer Zombie #40, Tomb Raiser #20. Massive skill issue with that polling group. Hell, Explorer Zombie and Sarcophagus Zombie were far bigger threats in Ancient Egypt than Tomb Raiser so it's not like having only played World 1 is an excuse. Never having played PvZ 1 probably made these players ill-prepared for abusing that 0-cost Grave Buster.
Well it shows how making PVZ2 pay to win was a horrible idea as most sane people can only lose over and over again so many times before they give up, the only people experiencing the final few worlds are largely whales or people who have had the game for years now.
Similar to Battle Cats where the game gets worse the longer you play.
@@MaxiemumKarnage Skill issue. You can easily beat the entirety of PvZ2 without spending coins on powerups. You get a shit ton of plant food upgrades in the zen garden for free. Game was clearly balanced with that in mind. If you couldn't beat Modern Day because "it's P2W", you're just bad at the game.

the reason octo zombie is the worst is he takes what made the wizard so annoying and multiplies it by one simple change, killing him doesn't make the octopi go away, they seem to have health comparable to a basic zombie as well. that might not seems like much but when you have to do that much damage to get rid of every single one of them that he throws, it’s nearly impossible to do so fast
The octopi also block shots too so they can deter straight-shooting/lobbed plants. If a whole lane is filled with octos then outside of power ups your only way to clear them is with insta kills or plants that target multiple lanes. Multiple lanes of octo zombies can spell serious trouble for your plants especially if they’re in groups. It’s either act fast or octopi swarm the lawn and make the game unplayable. First time I watched this I did not really know how it could be that annoying. Then I got to big wave beach day 17 and experienced true hell until the end of big wave beach. Modern day had octo zombies on occasion but somehow despite the difficulty of that world, it was a little more than just a lil tedious. Not as completely unfair as big wave beach is. They wanted to make players experience true pain since wizards werent enough before.
So in PvZ Eclise, there is a Secret level called Octillion, with only 1 type of Zombie, and *can you guess what it is??* You can probably imagine how that went.
Don't remind me, it's the only secret level that I need the walkthrough to pass that annoying level
No, Octillion also has coral cage, fisherman, and the three BWB basic types (basic, conehead, buckethead)

@@RedLemonCola From what I remember encountering her in Penny's Pursuit/Arena, she moves zombies that get in her way into other lanes. She can even switch lanes too iirc. Also, she is fast as heck like she is Usain Yeti fast lmao

I'm surprised Weasel Hoarder and Chicken Wrangler were rated so high. PvZ 2 has so many AOE plants that it's generally pretty difficult NOT to counter them. As opposed to a lot of other zombies that don't have apparent counters aside from using a consumable plant like a cherry bomb.

Trust me I find weasel hoarder and chicken wragglers extremely annoying. And I am not the only one who thinks that. They release a group of animals that charge towards your house at an insanely fast speed and if you don't set up a proper defense in time you're screwed.
14:48 ah yes, saving the worst for last. I knew Octo Zombie would be the most annoying zombie in PvZ2. It doesn't even make sense he can still throw regular-sized octopi once you use Shrinking Violet against him. I would always say "Saving the worst for last," whenever I see Octo, who always seems to appear at the last level of premium plants epic quests.
Coincidentally and funny enough, by the time Big Wave Beach Part 2 was released, the Penguins of Madagascar movie was also released, which featured octopuses as the bad guys.

Octo zombie was never a big problem for me. Every time one appears I just use an instant.
Honestly, a lot of these zombies can be taken out no problem with Laser Bean, which is why that's by far my favorite attacker in the game. Great video!
I recall a time when Dr. Zomboss was among the top most annoying zombies to exist. Has he really been overshadowed this easily?
Great vid with tons of effort! Although, Personally, I think a better voting system would reflect the annoyingness better. IMO each voter should have about five votes, and the more annoying a zombie is in their mind, the higher score they'd give. Some candidates are pretty annoying and should be ranked higher, but since they are not the most annoying zombie that comes to mind, they are just as unpopular as the ones that are not annoying at all. For instance, Prospectors and Explorers should rank higher in the annoying tierlist if you ask me, but they are obviously not the worst ones, so they get thrown out as if they are as unannoying as regular imps. If you're already doing that, then ignore this.
Honestly, I'm glad that Chicken Zombie was in the top 10, he's just stupid with the chickens being the literal fastest in the game-aside from zomboss-and being *absolutely horrendous* when stronger.
I agree, but the good thing is they are weak and can be easily dealt. I suggest lightning reed

Absolutely no surprises that the zombies who's unique ability is just being tankier and therefore spammed more often at later levels and rounds were ranked as pretty annoying. And for King, well. Making regular zombies take more hits than they would normally is pretty annoying, even if they're not really hard to deal with

I think the reason why knight is so high is because of king zombie. Causing them to be way more numerous than most other elite basics.

Considering how a potato mine easily deals with early bucket heads, and a single repeater can barely handle a bucket head they're not too problematic.
Magnet shroom just doesn't do enough outside of neon mixtape tour to be brought, realistically it should be able to steal shovels and umbrellas, but it can't.
I mean, I've got way more than 150 sun and a Magnifying Grass or two, or three, or five to spare.
At least it can instant kill a specific zombie there
I mean, yeah, putting Buckethead Zombie on the poll is understandable, but he doesn't really have a reason to be as high as he is. Sure, he can be a mild annoyance without the proper setup, but there are many zombies worse than him. And no, I'm not just talking about the Gargantuars. Or the Zomboss Mechs.
Just plant three columns of any splash damaging plant and your good 👍😆.
The annoying thing about breakdancer zombie is that sometimes they stack on each other and that 1 mc zombie in the back gets launched to 3rd column in 2 seconds

I can't believe that Gargimp Legal's and Head Office Gargantuar's rank can be that low! Head Office Gargantuar throws Gargimp Legal to column 3 when he recieves damage. You guys all know that Gargimp Legal is stronger than a buckethead zombie, that means Head Office Gargantuar throws a mini gargantuar that stronger than the buckethead zombie that can easily destroy your lineup because Gargimp Legal can one-hit most plants! (Especially in Penny's Pursuit, they're f**king annoying)

Hair Metal Gargantuar is the hardest zombie in pvz2 in my and GNVS' opinion
Bcoz he appers so early in the Greatest Hits endless zone which make them practically unplayable

King Zombies are pretty hard to deal with in droves though and doubly so with Wizards (who in higher levels of endless mode can snipe your plants from offscreen, by the way) and graves constantly spawning makes it pretty hard to deal with everything. (Magnet-shrooms only help so much.)
I think why buckethead zombie was ranked so high, is because of how common it is. Not to mention its health.

#4 isn’t so bad as long as you have blocking plants and fume shroom; just don’t shoot at it. Spikeweed helps, too.
You can also have any offensive plant that doesn't shoot projectiles like Bonk Choy, Snapdragon, Lighting Reed and Laser Bean.

i am, really early in, realizing a problem with the way you went about this: limiting people to 3 out of a hundred REALLY hurt the stats, as people couldn’t choose more appropriately.
if you ever consider doing this again, i’d give 5 instead of 3, same points system, just adding 4 and 2.
