This is a Great Video for setting some of Gigging presets on the UNIT itself rather than the Editor, Glad JOHN did these, gives you an Idea of how you can change it on a Gig if you had to. Always hoping not to do it but helpful if something were to go amiss. Thanks to JNC!!!

There are not that many Fractal fanboys subscribed to this channel, so JNC fanboys as well.
Nevertheless, thanks to remember them from time to time with useful Fractal device content.

@@briumphbimbles You are- but that is OK. I love Fractal too- got a FM9. I have no problem admitting it. Others are mostly just jealous. Now, if I can only learn to play! 😁

Thanks John !! Downloaded the patch to my FM9 .. Had to play with the levels as the Clean was way too soft even with my 339 .. The delays reverbs are a little too much for my liking but at least I am getting used to tweaking !! Well done and thanks for doing some FM9 stuff and not QC or Line 6 ..

Dude great tones. I’ve had a easy time getting pleasing tones from my single coil S guitar but the humbuckers on my prs have been harder. I’ve toyed with the input eq but i feel like eq after the amp should work better but you don’t even have an eq after the amp and it’s glorious sounding! I gotta revisit the input eq. Btw a
Your value of 600+ on the low end is nuts but it sounds good! And that what’s matters

Hi John, current HX stomp here, I was thinking of upgrading to the helix floor, but the FM9 is right now at the same price the only difference would be a waitlist to get the FM9, given that cost is the same which one would you get?

    Wonderful sound!
Hey, Julian Lage just did a rig rundown. Curious if you'd be interested in creating a helix tone based off his rig?

Hey John! I'm looking to improve my speed and technical skills. Is there any truefire or otherwise course you could recommend?

It really isn't something you are going to lean from a video. The same pieces of advice you will heard everywhere are just going to be repeated.
Technical skill: learn what a technique is then think about exercises you can use to practice them, often the best type are songs that are using it but you could also try to apply it in places where it isn't traditionally used i.e. if a song uses legato try to pick every note.
For speed: Speed is just accuracy.
Relax/ Reduce tension, economise your motions, make sure you understand what you are playing before you try to speed it up, don't try cheat yourself (i.e. if it doesn't sound good then reassess and keep practicing), concentrate on the rhythmic grouping, phrasing and articulation.
Learn your chords/ arpeggios, scales and modes. It will make it easier to understand whats actually happening melodically and reduce cognitive load as you will start to see more patterns.
Learn them in different intervals, tuplets etc.
You know. Just basic music practice that applies to all instruments.
There are no shortcuts. Its going to take years.
