- In this video we travel to the ports of Annaba and Bejaia in Algeria. From these we visit two of the best archaeological sites in Algeria. The first is Hippo Regius, the Capital of the Vandal Empire from 435 to 439 AD. For the second site we drive through the country to the Roman City of Djemila. It is a huge site and was founded in the 1st Century AD. We also view the incredible mosaics in the museums at both sites.
Tidis, nearby Constantine is one of the oldest architectural sites which is related to the glory past of Cirta
Nice algeria😍 beautiful video
There's more sites in Algeria like tipaza, tigzirt in tizi ouezo province , timgad in batna province , khmisa in soukahras provincr but the largest one is in timgad batna
Yes, there are many beautiful Archaeological sites in Algeria and perhaps one day we'll be lucky enough to get to visit more than the two sites we managed to see.
@@chrismanford7758 hope so and welcome to algeria
@@zedpics We have traveled to some 50 countries and visited many Archaeological sites and what we saw in Algeria is among the best that we have seen. As a result it should be one of the top tourist destinations in the world but it isn't and a wonder why.
@@chrismanford7758 I think The media covers the facts
The best archéologic sites are Timgad, Djemila and Tipaza .
How come you didn't mention Timgad the largest archeological Roman site in Africa located in the Province of Batna ?
We would have liked to have gone there, it certainly looks wonderful. But we were traveling from Annaba or Bejaia. Timgad is 11 round trip from Bejaia and 9 hours from Annaba. Too far for a day trip. Next time we'll do a road trip and visit there.
@@chrismanford7758 Hhhhh you made me laugh cuz I'm originally from Batna (Capital of the Aures mountain where Berber people live) .. Batna is close to Sétif city and close to Constantine ) Batna is just 3 hr and half drive from Annaba .
@@djamelbouch3670 As a tourist we don't have the benefit of local knowledge so we usually rely on Google and that is where my times came from. It has Annaba to Batna via N20 & N3 at 4hr 26min (9 hours round trip) but it will depend on the traffic conditions and how fast you drive.
Algeria is huge country you need lot and lot of time to visit all archaeological places 😃
