When I was very young I lived in Algeria with my family for around three years. My father used to teach English in the university there. At first we lived in Oran then later we lived in Annaba. I have some wonderful memories of our life in Algeria. Algeria is definitely a very beautiful country with its picturesque sea beaches.
I am from Romania, born and raised here and my grandparents have their origins here, but I don't know why I love this country without ever visiting it and I really want to visit it
Constantine called Cirta in thé past was thé capital of Numidia founded by King Massinissa, who sucess to unify all North Africa, Thé lengend of sophonybe was born there too...
10:00 Constantine is one of the oldest capitals in the world for it was the Capital of the Algerian Numdia Kingdom (202 BC). You can also find Numdian architecture and pyramids in Tipaza and Batna. You should've went to Sifar in the Tassilli as well, it's a must to see at least once in your life. Dont forget the traditional Algerian Attires as well for each city has it's own Attires.
Algeria is a land of diversity .. as we said here" Algeria isn't a country it's continent" Btw you just saw a little,in every corner of Algeria it has its own culture and tradition, as the people are very welcoming . We consider the tourists as special guests .
That's right. It's a fantastic country. And we didn't go to the south, to the Sahara part, to Tamanrasset, which is said to be incredible. But well, there wasn't time for everything. It's a country to revisit. Thank you, and take care.
Our country does not have any media momentum regarding tourism...but whoever comes here discovers the charm and beauty of this country with diverse cultures and terrain...it is a continental country.

nice video but id like to add that at 1:57 that is not the Great Mosque of Algiers. Djamaa el Djazair (Great Mosque of Algiers) can be found right off the Rocade Nord d'Alger. it's very hard to miss as it has the tallest minaret tower in the world.

The Deys were independent from the Ottomans my friend, they were elected by the Taifa Al-Ri'as (party of Corsairs) some of the Deys were Turkish, others were Algerian and some were even European renegades

At 2:00, that was that the Great Mosque? This mosque is beautiful, too, but the Grand/Great Mosque literally fits the title. On the outside, it's elegant and majestic while on the inside, it will leave you stunned at its beauty. There is room for many people for Jummah, and inside, the center has a beautiful chandelier in the middle. Outside is a courtyard of, I believe is marble floors and fountains. Very nice, Masha'Allah *if you want to visit Algeria, first get a Visa in your passport*
You are absolutely right, and I sincerely apologize for the mistake. That is not the Great Mosque; it is located in a completely different place. Thank you for pointing that out, and I appreciate your understanding!

Yes. We travel without a guide and with no policy escort reservation. In fact we didn’t know about the escort. But the process is very relaxed 😎. Enjoy Ghardaia
❤❤ Algeria is a captivating destination full of diverse sites to explore. Timimoun, with its stunning oases and red sand dunes, offers breathtaking desert landscapes. Oran, vibrant and coastal, delights with its bustling port and lively atmosphere. Ghardaïa, home to a UNESCO World Heritage-listed medina, showcases unique Mozabite culture. Kabylie, with its majestic mountains and traditional craftsmanship, is a true gem. Skikda, often less known, charms with its beautiful beaches and coastal history. Algiers, the capital, blends modernity with historical landmarks and bustling markets. Constantine, known as the "suspended city," impresses with its dramatic bridges and ancient ruins. Santa Cruz, overlooking Oran, provides stunning views and a fascinating historical fortress, while the Roman arena in Oran highlights the region's ancient grandeur. Each site in Algeria promises a rich and memorable experience, making the country a true treasure to discover.
It really saddens me to hear those words: north african, moorish and such ... algeria suffers tremendously from cultural appropriation from neighboring countries which do not hesitate to claim many algerian crafts, dishes and clothings as their own while it was never ever theirs throughout history. Is it that hard to say Algerian architecture / dishes/ clothings ?
Algeria is the most beautiful country in Africa without exaggeration ❤
