This was a good list. I’m in my mid-60s, retired LE and military, and I work hard to stay in shape….so I appreciate these types of videos. I hike, bikepack, backpack, travel….I was surprised that a pair of “tech” travel pants wasn’t on your list. Arguably, your other selections can obviously “travel”….but a good travel pants is color-neutral, easy care material, packable(!), resists wrinkling, still looks professional (not cargo pants!), and above all is comfortable while sitting, carrying luggage, running for flights, arriving “wherever” looking “ready to go”! BTW, your online persona is both professional and relaxed….so Bravo-Zulu on that! And again, great suggestions.
Love Everlane’s jeans. I’ve worn everything from very expensive Japanese selvedge raw denim to levis and I love everlane’s fit, quality and price. I also think outdoor voices makes some great jogger/sweatpants. And finally I highly recommend buck mason for just about all your basics.
These have pretty much always been my pants style choices. Living in New orleans, shorts are a must about 6 months out of the year.
With the pandemic, we've had to bring our own clothes to film sets, I lost count on how many times I've been complimented on the look and fit of my pants by people in wardrobe.

If you're a fit guy, bodybuilder, crossfittter the best ones I've found for my body type is American Eagle Athletic Fit jeans. I've got all solid colors. Great stretch soft fit, $30-40 on sale, and I've gotten complements on the fit. I'm 5'9", 195lbs, 34x32 in those jeans.
I only wear black denim jeans and black jean joggers for the lowest cost and match them with simple shirts and jacket vans and get a ton of complements for basic clothes for a low price that has good quality, I feel confident on what I wear without wearing anything designer
My favorite pair of pants- a set of nice black jeans. They’re a great way to dress up a casual outfit without looking too dressed up. Combine it with a nice gray or dark blue shirt and it looks awesome!

Baggy boot cut jeans are what’s comfortable on the motorcycle. I outgrew the skinny jeans after high school. Dressing for comfort is more sustainable.

I was born in Seattle, where I grew up, and live. Before they closed down, I'd go to Sears Canada in Vancouver BC, and got GREAT deals, especially in 2016 when 1 USD = 1.50 CAD!! They had a brand called Logan Hill, which was pretty good.

Speaking about Denim, I can absolutly recommend the Levi's 512 Slim-Tapered. The Cut is perfect and it gives you a nice slim silhouette without beeing to skinny. From the Knee downwards the Jeans gets tighter. Check it out, even if Levi's is a bit expensive. But the Quality of the Jeans is worth the money.
I have a pair of light blue Levi's jeans and a dark denim. I automatically wear the denims often because of the fit. It makes me look slimmer too. I love your recommendations and I'll be sure to follow them. Thanks Courtney.

You are not alone.
Well fitted jeans and joggers are all you need. A jet black pair of jeans or chinos will cover dress too if you do it right.
Rag & Bone traditional stretch (not the newer aero stretch that are way more $$$) solid construction, fit 2 is a nice balance of being slim but not too tight, made in USA so nice quality, a bit expensive but not over the top, pick a staple colour and they’ll last forever

I also love youtubers talking about pants that will look good on you so many people i see at school or anywhere just copy popular people's style that look not good at all.
I personally really like the 'Glenn' by Jack&Jones, which goes for around 40-90€ depending on the garment and wash (though the cheaper ones are not as long lasting). But my absolute favourite is the 'Skim' by Scotch&Soda (90-160€), which is a bit pricier, but also lasted as long as two of the other Jack&Jones ... Both denims are slim fit and fit me (180cm/ 5'11" and 74kg) perfectly in size 31/32
PS: I have no idea, if these are being sold in the US, but here you go anyways :)
Where I live, denim pants or any other pants with twill weave are way too hot to wear. Even in the spring time. Seersucker or linen pleated trousers with relaxed fit are the way to go but thank you for the recommendations Courtney!

It actually makes me feel cultured and mature to know I guessed the #5 pants to have and that I have them for the same reasons you suggest.
Levi's 511 and 512 are my go to jeans, but I also like slim cut Calvin Klein jeans as well. The best pair of jeans I own are RRL jeans. I only own them because I found them at a massive discount at Sacks Off Fifth. I tried Goodfellows jeans at Target to see if I could save some money, but the fit is awful on me.
LuluLemon ABC Joggers are the best out there, they are pricey but 100% worth it!
Brave star raw denim. They are made in the US, good quality and low priced in the raw denim area. You can also choose the weight from 12oz to 22oz weight.

I would definitely pick jogger as a lazy/casual type pant any day, I’m not against buying sweatpants but not anything too baggy looking and more sleeker and slimming looking
Levi’s 512 are the best fit for my style for dark denim
I get most of my jeans from American Eagle and I get Levi's from Macy's. That's really the only 2 brands I wear currently.
Spoke has great jeans in longer leg sizes but they are expensive. Their corduroys are fantastic.

Imogene + Willie is the best brand I've found for denim. They focus on raw denim which is my favorite. I have 4 pairs now and they're all amazing and extremely high quality. 7 For All Mankind make some good washed denim and I have 3 pairs of those in different washes so I can switch things up a little. I've also had several pairs of Naked & Famous denim and I recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a pair of unique denim that's reasonably priced.
I am one hundred percent on board with your choices, however...
Dark green, navy, red, sea mist, turquoise and etc... I think colours like that works amazing with
black, white, navy and grey.
In my opinion you can pull anything off with the right fit, colour combo and pattern.
Got a serious soft spot for Navajo if it is done right in what i deem as the perfect combo.
Not too loud, but not too silent either. Just subtle. And you certainly need the confidence
A trick i've learnt. If you got a really loud piece, example a t shirt or a sweater
wear something basic like a dark washed denim.
It's all about the combo, colour, fit and you being confident enough to pull it off.
Just for the love of coffee beans and all tasty bacon cheeseburgers...
If you are going to wear anything Supreme, Gucci or similar... keep it very, very, very low key and subtle

I know g-star has great reputation for denim, but I have lots of experience with banana republic and gap denim, and they are amazing. They also tend to be on promotion between 30-50% quite often. Banana republic chinos are also amazing
Express is my go to. All of my jeans are from them.
Chinos are my go to work pants. If I have a meeting I can wear a button up and look great or if it is a quiet Friday just put on a nice polo and I am good to go.
My favorite places to buy denim hit both ends of the spectrum: Department stores for Levis and Lucky for nice basics and Naked & Famous for higher end, more playful takes. The former is definitely the better choice for most people. Levis is still respected for good reason.
My favorite/best denim is my grey and dark blue Calvin Klein’s they are slim fit and very comfortable. I also have a black pair of G-Star which look great but I’m not a fan of the button up fly. Also not a fan of joggers but I do have 2 pairs of public rec ADED in grey & black and they are the best pants I’ve ever bought

As a fit guy with a lorge bum I find 7’s fit good. It’s a pain in the ass...lol.. to find good fitting pants, they’re all made for bird leg dudes.

I got rid of all my denim because no matter what I wore, i felt them very uncomfortable and what fits me well, tends to be baggy. I only have chinos and shorts and im more than happy with that. I wont wear denim ever again.

I'll check out that Tailor Stitch. I've never heard of them. For my money, Everlane has thee best wool trousers. Bought two pair, one Navy and one Charcoal grey that are just phenomenal. It's my experience that women like to see guys in slightly lighter grey sweat pants. The darker grey are great, but women like the lighter ones more. I think it's because they can kind of check out your typography better with the lighter color. Thanks.

If you’re looking for good cheap denim American eagle and h&m and even fashionova men’s jeans are good options but if you’re looking to ball out a little and have the extra money I would go for g-star denim. The comfort is unmatchable; they’re just as comfortable if not more than some of my jogger sweatpants that I own

Whats your recommendation on the inseam length for shorter shorts for a short guy? 4, 5, 6 or 7 inch? I am 5’4”, and anything longer than 7 inch goes below my knee.
