Perfect family car, grocery getter and even go fast wagon, especially if it comes with a manual, that’ll be so much fun. Btw, SOA called me since I inquired about it: they said no plans yet to bring it to the states.
Mexico is getting the WRX Sport Wagon. Besides the name the WRX Sport Wagon and Levorg are the same. WRX Sport Wagon is the name in Australia and Mexico. Levorg is the name in Japan. However in Japan, the Levorg can come with a smaller 1.6L turbo engine.
Wagons are so cool, you can do a whole lot more with them than a sedan in terms of capacity and carrying capability. Also, in a wagon, if you get carjacked and they put you in the boot, guess what, you still inside the car.
Oh yeah, if a wagon had been available when I bought my VB last year I certainly would have went wagon. You know what they say: Once you go wagon, you never go back.
this is kind of exciting, my nephew has been looking at liberty wagons and early 2000 foresters like my 04XT after going for a drive in it. knowing these are in australia may change things, not sure if he'll be interested in an auto though. either way, cheers for the update.
I'm confused why everyone wants a WRX wagon. Is the extra trunk space that important? It's not like the sedan has a small trunk. Sedan also looks more sporty in my mind, less minivan like.
Spec wise, how different are cars in Canada from the U.S.? Some of us might be willing to buy the new WRX wagon in Canada and bring it to the states. But is that even legal?
Mechanically they should be identical. There might be some non-performance items that may be different though. It’s a good question, I’ve seen a lot of used WRX and STI’s imported from the states into Canada but never one that is brand new.
I think the wagon version would be fail in the US; however, the front end, rear end and the lack of side cladding on the Levorg gives it a more attractive look than our current US sedan.
@@johnreed1268 I can appreciate your enthusiasm but the sedan isn’t even selling well in the US. Only around 1600 sold last month. Dealers are packed with them.

Thanks for sharing and also nice SOA a got back to you on that. Maybe the Mexico release will “test the waters” and see from there.
@@carswithsepp Yeah we'll see. I'm really hoping it does. Thanks for the video Sepp.
I would consider getting a wagon if they made a WRX version but for now, just a WRX.
there are actually previous generation LHD Levorgs and current WRX wagons here in the Philippines! We got lucky
Can someone clarify if this is just Mexico getting the Levorg or if it's a new separate WRX sports wagon model?

now just give us the fenders, and bumpers on the WRX sedan
We want the Levour in New York

Idk man it’s a personal preference thing. Wagons just got an appeal to me.
Wagon is good for road trips and people with pets.
@@carswithsepppracticality is superior on a hatch wagon vs sedan. Can fit way more stuff in the hatch Vs a trunk.
im with you, i prefer a sedan over a wagon.
Agree. This looks like it’s getting into minivan aesthetic territory
I want one so badly.
Me too!
Thanks for the update 🎉

if we dont get it in usa ill import one from mexico
damn
I love hatchback’s too but in America my 24 GR Corolla Circuit was one of the few options with a manual.

I Respectfully disagree. If they brought these to the US, they would not be able to keep them in stock.

@@grriceman782 WRX sales dropping sounds like bad news. Subaru may discontinue it?
@@carswithsepp The VA generation may have been their best run
I mean they could give the outback wilderness a manual… and the crosstrek the fa24 with a manual. 🫠
Id be in line for that one too!
