Hi Mandy, thank you very much; the tips I learned from your videos really helped me with my interview, and I got my J-1. My program is fully sponsored by the U.S. Department of State (Fulbright). Also, the program fully sponsors my dependents, and I've received the DS-2019 for all of them. My concern is about their J-2 visa interview as my spouse can't speak English but my 13-years old kid can speak at an intermediate level. Due to closure of the U.S. Embassy in my home country, they need to apply to a U.S. Consulate in a third country. A recent J-2 denial under Section 214b - from the same program and country as me - scares me too about my dependents' case. I appreciate your advice in this regards so that they can well prepare for their interview.
Hello Mandy. Just stumbled upon your content, it's really enlightening. Thank you. I have been denied twice and i have a 3rd interview coming up soon. My problem is that i stutter, which gets worse when i am tensed, and the interview environment is really tensed. (1) How do COs attend to applicants who stutter, do they automatically presume suspicion? Because in my last interview the CO didn't even make an effort to properly hear my answer, like asking me to repeat myself. He just took the little he could hear (which wasn't great if taken as a standalone answer w/out the complete answer) and typed on his computer (2) What is your advise for approaching this interview as a stutterer? I really tried to calm myself on that day but to no avail. I crumbled. Thank you.

Thank You so much, Mandy, for being insightful and giving us this information. I have a question for you. Although I had a fully funded PhD admission, I have been rejected for an F1 visa request. Can I change my university this time and say this new admission is in a better financial situation than the previous one?
In 2013, my B-1 visa application was denied, followed by a denial of my F1 visa application in 2022. I had applied for the F1 visa from the country where I completed my undergraduate degree and was employed at the time. Additionally, my mother currently resides in the US under the "withholding of removal" status, and my brother has faced five rejections for a B-1 visa. Now, I have received admission to one of the top universities in the USA and I am considering reapplying for an F1 visa from my home country. Both of my rejections was under 214(b). Given these circumstances, what are the chances of my visa being approved this time?

Hello Mandy! Please read with patience. I am currently applying for an f1 visa to get an associate's degree in Biology at College of San Mateo. I intend to transfer to Cal State Uni after the associate's. My interview is on August 10th at the US Embassy Dhaka, Bangladesh. I completed my Secondary/10th exams in December 2021. During 2022, I had to take a study gap to get my documents sorted. My birth certificate was outdated as well as my parents'. I didn't have a passport so I had apply for that and I had a spelling mistake in my academic transcripts. Basically almost the entirety of 2022 went away by me making several visits to the government offices. But I didn't abandon my studies. I took preparation for GEDs at home. I will hopefully get my GEDs done at least a month before the interview. Can I add GED to my educational history in my DS-160? Like Name of Institution: GED Testing Service, Course of Study: General Educational Development, Address: 1850 M STREET NW, Washington, DC? I got this information by contacting GEDs help section. Anyways, is putting this information going to be a red flag for me? Should I put it in there? Also does not taking traditional 12th exams and taking a GED cause a higher chance of denial? Please do tell. Thank you very much for reading.

😊Hi Ma'am, my GRE scores were canceled due to some technical issues, and as a result, the ETS website did not provide me with the scorecard. Due to my busy schedule, I haven't had the opportunity to retake the GRE test. However, I have applied to four universities where the GRE requirement was waived.
Hey, can you please give tips for students planning on getting a F-1 visa to a community college. I hear it's hard to aquire a visa through a community college. Thank you in advance
I really appreciate your work. My sponsor is my brother residing in USA with Green card, I would like to know if that could reduce my visa approval rates?
This is really impressive.
Thanks
You’re welcome!
Mandy a video on social media relevance on DS160 is crucial at this point. Do visa officers care about the social media on your DS160 ? This has become a popular misconception. But would be great if you could let us know the truth and how to go about it.
Yes, they do care. They will look at your social media if they’re unsure about your case.
Hi Mandy, I wanted to ask if it's a good idea to compliment the visa officer that she's pretty before the interview starts?😂
No, it makes you look like you’re just brown nosing.
Alright, sure. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I was awarded a GA position but I applied to the University using my mother's bank statement. While the bank statement contains more than enough money to cover the remaining cost of my studies, my mother is now retired and earning $500 monthly in benefits. In addition, my sister who is an expatriate with the United Nations pays our mother $2000 every month to care for her grandchildren, but this is not a formal employment arrangement, so how do I navigate this tricky situation in my visa interview?
i think the visa inteview process in developing counteries will be different since offiers thinks those student will have the interny=tion to not come back
Hi Mandy, I hope you get well soon with your voice. I am an international student in china and I will be going for my B2 US visa in July. Can I please include china as one of my ties because i haven't graduated from my masters program yet. thank you

Hi Mandy, i was denied an F1 visa because my immediate family (Mom, Brother and sister) resides in the US. I want to reapply, but i fear this might still affect my chances of getting an approval?
I would be eternally grateful to you if i get a response to this.

Thank Mandy to the great Jobs, please do they ask for financial statement ? If yes pls will i need to go along sode my sponsors statement of account?thanks.
They might. It's best to be prepared at your interview, even if they don't ask for financial statements.
Hey Thank you so much for this tips I firmly believe this will really help me for my f1 visa But I have a question if your friend is sponsoring you from usa is the chances of approving visa are less if no then what kind of questions come up and how could I answer? Nd what documents we need from sponsors?

I appreciate your help in advance
😊Hi Ma'am, my GRE scores were canceled due to some technical issues, and as a result, the ETS website did not provide me with the scorecard. Due to my busy schedule, I haven't had the opportunity to retake the GRE test. However, I have applied to four universities where the GRE requirement was waived. So now, if the visa officer asks about my GRE score, what should I answer? Also, will the visa officers be aware of our test score cancellation or any issues related to our scores? I completed my Undergraduate in the year 2020 with a GPA of 8.2 out of 10 and I also have 2 years of work experience.
Hello Mandy,
Do we have to say that we are planning to come back to our country after finishing our high school studies during our f1 visa interview for high school? I was wondering if you could make a video for high school.
Thanks,
Thanks for the idea, will add it to my list!
Hello mandy!!! thank you for sharing this wonderful information to us, please I will like to ask you a questions, what do you think is the best reply if a student who is applying for F-1 visa is been ask, why would your sponsor paid your tuition, and especially if your sponsor is from the united state but you are from african.
Hello ma'am; this was a really intriguing video.
I have my visa interview next week. I've been selected for a Doctoral program and prepared my answers well. There isn't enough information on questions that could be asked for a Doctoral Candidate. Can you please mention any tips or questions that they can ask me?
Good luck hope you get your visa approved… just one question how did you managed to get interview slot
@@jagdishrai5616 Thank you! I got my slot when there was an opening for visa slots mid May.
Hi Mandy, thanks a lot for this. I was wondering, if I'm going as a PhD student and have been granted a graduate teaching assistantship which pays for my tuition and pays me a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, do i still need to provide a bank statement from a sponsor or the assistantship is sufficient in that case?
I need an answer to this. Please what's your answer or what answer were you given?
I want to ask sis, what date is the embassy employee payday?
Hello Mandy, thank you very much for this video. It has really been helpful to me. I want to contact you so I can have detailed discussion with you since I have my Visa interview scheduled for next month. Thank you. I hope to hear from you.

Thank you Mandy for this explanation. Please i am from Nigeria and i have an interview on the 6th of Nov. 2023. Please how do i explain to the visa offier the validation of eduation loan as my finane?
Hi Mandy. I have been refused twice for a tourist visa (B2) , once in 2018 and once in 2019. Now i will be applying for F1 visa. How do you think my previous refusals will impact my f1 visa chances in 2023? I'm going to Arizona state university, for MS- Business Analytics.
Also, in the DS-160, i have mentioned that i've been refused in 2019 only, do i also need to mention about 2018 too?
Yes, it will affect your next interview. You should mention that you’ve been refused before because they will be able to see it.
When you are denied a Canadian visa on the basis of misrepresentation, how does that affect your US visa interview?
What if the applicant was asked about the post-study plan? Most applicants were usually asked this question.
Well it depends - what are your post-graduation plans?
A wise and experienced suggestion are required
