The exhaust sounds so hilariously obnoxious, glad you enjoy it. 😂 Sure does sound mean in tunnels! I almost got a titanium exhaust for my fk8, but I couldn't deal with the rasp.
Lol it’s SUPER obnoxious 😂 sometimes when it’ll backfire on upshifts on light throttle, I’m always like calm down you drawing way too much attention right now, yeah the rasp is pretty bad with a titanium exhaust, I think the exhaust itself is okay but once you got catted or Catless, that’s when the sound gets wicked LOL
@@timothysarinyeah, way too many cops for all that noise. does your exhaust shake the whole cabin at 2.7 - 3k RPM? Mine literally gives a great massage. Don't get me wrong, it's super cool but totally unexpected.
@friday9x I don’t think it shakes but more so vibrates, but the drone and the rear motor mount definitely rattles any loose change or tools I have in the car. Yeah I’d say with the mods on my car, it definitely rattles which makes it sound like my cars shaking
Question, did you end up reinstalling the top factory turbo heat shield ? I’m installing a PRL catless downpipe soon and it will have a ptp dp blanket which will sacrifice the ability to reinstall the turbo heat shield
Yessir I installed the top factory heat shield, the ptp blanket on the downpipe will help keep the heat in and not escape out to nearby components so I think it does the job the same if not alittle better if anything
What's up Timón I'm from MA also and have been modding my '17 Si over the last couple months. Been staying away from the downpipe (even a catted one) cause it will throw codes. I gotta know man, how TF are you passing inspection out here??
Haha, when I had the Si I had to change back to the stock downpipe everytime inspection was near so that the monitors would become ready, then I would get the car inspected and it’ll pass, I wouldn’t pass if any codes popped up or if I “disabled” a code in ktuner, I would still most likely failed, but for the Type R, same situation if a code popped up I wouldn’t pass but no codes have popped up and I’m not tuned so I haven’t messed with the ecu or tuned the car yet, it’s basically stock so I pass like any other stock Type R out there. There are times where the emissions code will pop up but after a couple days of start up the code will be gone and I’m basically good to go bc that’ll be a twice in a year type of occurrence
LOL, it’s the Lasfit phone mount, there should be a link in my description to take you there, if you use code Timone20 you can save 20% on your whole purchase!
Can you even hear your intake with this setup? I also drive the tomei but with the stock downpipe + particle filter and when i changed to the eventuri intake + charge pipe i could barely hear a difference because the exhaust is just too loud😂
No I can’t hear the intake at all LOL! I don’t even realize a intake is there bc the exhaust setup is so loud and over powering 😂, I do want to change my intake to the Eventuri also or the PRL down the road but I still think I won’t be able to hear the intake 😂
@@timothysarin the eventuri is pretty loud from the outside but i think that with your setup it'll be very difficult to hear anything 😂 i was also thinking about getting the hks intake, it's supposed to be louder than the eventuri...maybe you will hear that then? xd If not, just install a blowoff from hks with a recirculation kit, then you might hear a tiny bit 😂
@@marlonhofeld5146 I really like the Eventuri intake, I heard it’s one of the best intakes for the fk8, I honestly should have went with that one but I didn’t do enough research at the time 😂 yeah I was looking at the blow off valve from HKS also, maybe we would be able to hear it with my setup but we’ll never know unless I try it 😂

If I get that exhaust then weld in a resonator would it make it sound deeper?
I don’t know if it actually would make the car sound deeper but I do think an extra resonator would help with the drone in the car
