    Hi, wanna ask if I can sub the whole milk with plant-based milk? or soybean milk? thanks!!

      Based on my cooking experience, plant milk does not thicken like regular milk does. She also used double cream aka heavy whipping cream to reach the consistency of a spread. So plant milk will remain runny, but I think you can try adding a thickener like cornstarch or flour to make it more like a spread

    U could just get condense milk right , the process will be just faster

      not really. if u use condensed milk only u will get matcha flavoured condensed milk and NOT matcha milk spread. there is a difference.

      Yup condensed milks usually don't even contain that milk nutrition

    The milk and cream cooking can be substitute entirely with condense milk?

    • @NielleMKKwon
      @NielleMKKwon  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not tried only condense milk but my guess is the texture will be much thicker and less velvety

    • @ericainspace
      @ericainspace 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@NielleMKKwon The process you used, cooking the milk and cream and sugar until they are reduced and thickened, is how "sweetened condensed milk" is made. A good quality canned/bottled version should be just as smooth and velvety, if not more consistent. The thickness can be adjusted by adding fresh milk. The benefit of making it from scratch, however, is you can control the amount of fat and sugar in the end result. You could even make a vegan version, using coconut milk and cream instead.
