- I ride from Serenje to Kabwe, in Zambia, in Africa.
On the way, I stop in a beautiful lodge (Fika lodge), where I receive a very funny and enthusiastic welcome from the workers and from some Indian people traveling around Zambia.

Am here again ..proud Zambian🇿🇲..these comments about Zambia are so heart warming. Thank you Africa.
Nice, friendly and expensive.
Mzungu Yves you are right on the money on the kiswahili word of mzungu. It's actually a short for mzungukaji which means a person who roams. Zambians are friendliest people I have seen I thought we Kenyans are but Zambians are on another level . Much love from Kenya
Yep the first Europeans were explorers
Hello
From a Zambian Kenyans take the crown on sweet 🥰❤️
From a Zambian Kenyans take the crown on sweet 🥰❤️
As a Kenyan, you have made me love Zambia.
You’re welcome to visit! 😊
I actually had stories of some friends who relocated to Zambia.. Was wondering how they skipped all Uganda's neighborhood to there, its rare coz the family is not wealthy and not traveling ppl! Now I know why.. I must visit perhaps I will even marry from there😂😂
@@The-XtrymeZambians are generally very friendly and love peace, while money is important, you get to enjoy life and get through it with the community.
@@fareedinambao6369 in this error everywhere u go money is important.. Its just that some areas they don't put it 1st and also sometimes depends on the economy..
The land and weather are similar to America. Zambia is very beautiful and worth a visit.
Great Yves 🤩
❤you are welcome to Zambia 🇿🇲 and don't forget to visit me here in ndola zambia 🇿🇲 copper belt province😊
"Mornin' my friends." I'm in the airport, waiting for my flight, on my way to Machu Picchu, the greatest adventure of my life, and I'm downloading this video for my flight. You're an inspiration Yves. Let's go!

The expressions are priceless.
Watching with my family. This is now our routine every Saturday. We love Kino and he inspires us to one day try this journey. I have fallen in love with Zambia. ❤
That sky is gorgeous!
Keep going told u Zambia is amazing one of the best countries I have visited in my continent...sending best wishes from 🇰🇪
Am glad to hear that a Kenyan is waiting to host you once you get to Lusaka. My Kenyan folks never dissapoint. Safe travels Yve. ❤🇰🇪
The road to Kabwe is not melting . It’s the weight from the heavy loaded trucks
Omg! Look at the sky it's blue and beautiful 🤩
Muzungu is a Bantu word that means "wanderer" originally pertaining to the first European explorers to the East African region whom the local tribes thought were traveling aimlessly with no goals. You are keeping up the tradition!
His keeping up the traditional 😂
I have noted that Zambian roads are very straight and northern Zambia is relatively flat that's why you are able to ride over 100km in a day.
Anyways,Congrats from Kenya +254🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
My mama land Africa is so rich everywhere thete is plenty of fruits and food from matoke, Yam, guavas, oranges, cassavas, maize and all are fresh and naturally cultivated with hard working people... I love Africa @Yves enjoy the trip we are following all the way from Tanzania we actually travelling together....
Am really happy yo so friendly and supportive to all countries u travel too African Loves you so much :
Love from Rwanda 🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼
It's "muli shani" and not "muli shanje"😅 safe travels!
The road is pretty good even considering the weather impact. Zambia looks modern and the people educated. Love to see women and men on a par in terms of jobs. The lodge was very nice!
Indeed, most of the roads are very good in Zambia.
It’s a Saturday 6:55pm in UAE 🇦🇪 Dubai, am Zambian 🇿🇲 am happy to see mr Kino passing through my hometown Kapiri mposhi. I have great memories over there, and I actually saw some familiar faces at the filling station were u were having your lunch. I enjoy watching you brother..
To enjoy a guava fruit, simply bite into it whole, including the peels. The peels are not only sweet but also packed with nutrients.
I love the expressions qhen you say where you are going and where you are from and on the bike so funny seeing their faces 😂❤
Hi Andreahall nice to see you queen
Eat the whole guava, skin and all! Rich in vitamin c
Enjoy your trip. Seems Africa gets less harsh as you move south .
Hope to see you along the way, either Swaziland or along the Johannesburg roads...
hi dear friend nice to meet you
Yes, he need to eat it whole.
I have to say..it's soooooooo Beautiful there. But I'm noticing how BIG the sky looks. Forget about BIG Sky Montana...Africa has HUGE sky's! 😎
Blue and a bit clear. Elevation also makes it look big . Night skies , the beauty is undescribable.
Zambians are very friendly. Guess the appetite I have when I learn you've posted yet another episode. Greetings from UGA, man

Oh my am so looking forward to watching tonight after work. You have made travelling more about seeing local not shopping malls. ❤
I’ve never peeled a Guava, wash it and eat it with the skin and a little bit of salt. Yum
Why salt??
Y add salt to guava ? we nver do that.
Taste so much better. Same with clementines. Less is more

We learn SO much about Africa following you!!! The guy asked for your purpose of the trip… Indirect you are fantastic for Africa💯Thank you for Educating us - Yves😎
Still following from Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪.much love Yves
It's not the road melting. Its the trucks that are overloaded thus pressing hard on the tarmac and creating trenches in the asphalt. They need weigh bridges to curb overloading.
I think the Zambian leg is frankly turning out to be the most relaxed and fun one. People seem to be so friendly and hardly any begging like in other parts.
I agree.
Yves my friend, you are such an amazing man. I loved the camping with everything you needed. The happiness and joy you bring to others is amazing and when we get to see the wonderful people in Africa it shows us how sweet and kind people are in this world. Thank you for bringing us all together on your journey. Yves you are honestly a blessing. Stay safe and know that you are loved from all of us. Hugs from Florida U.S.A 🇺🇸
Great People of Zambia. Friendly and welcoming.

He said 195 000 subscribers. He is now on 239 000 subscribers. This video must have been a few months ago. He must be in South Africa already ?
He was in Zambia 🇿🇲 in January February. He took time to upload his videos.
@@charleskapepa5080 when he was in Kenya I saw fuel prices that were like 4 months old. Thats when I realised he takes soo long to upload.
He said he does that for safety too, cannot be easily intercepted.
Now he is in Antarctica 😂
Are you for real 😂😂, have been waiting for him to pass through Lusaka 😢. Sad I won't ride his bike 🚶🚶
Nowadays I'm enjoying your video... The sounds are well balanced, smooth to hear.... Keep it up.
This is awesome,,,, best youtube channel to watch after a halfday at work,,,thumbs up from Nairobi
Zambians are really friendly
you nailed it, mzungu is a short form of mzungukaji i.e., the wanderer
Yves, you have became an African when it comes to greeting -- you do not get tired. Sweet potatoes is like bread. Musungu - (Kuzunguka) means a person traveling or doing things without a seemingly obvious reason/benefit. It can be negative or positive depending on context. Parent may reprimand a child for being aimless. A person may report that a doctor cam to see her and gave a medicine.
Love Zambia so peaceful and friendly. Roads are mainly well maintained and decent. Looking forward to when you get to Victoria falls.
Thanks!
Thank you!
It's the "mulishanji" for me😂 playing it safe bemba x nyanja 😂
Africa is so beutifull i must visit one day maybe next year
You are welcome to Zambia 🇿🇲
As a kenyan...i love Zambia❤
18:02 Hello Yves, Again I greet you from my location, here in Lagos Nigeria!
I am delighted to let you know I have been following you from Egypt. I am a casual Bicycle Tourist myself but really, your travels on a trike across Africa inspired me to import a trike for myself. Good to let you know it arrived 22nd of August 2024 and I am loving it! Supper COMFORTABLE! And more relaxed than an upright bike 😊
I am looking forward to meeting you physically on your upward trip back to Europe via the western side of our great Mother continent of Africa.
By the way, what's that word you always say when you sit into your trike? It Sounds like you say: "opala"
Is it a French prayer or some motivational word?😊
Until one day we may meet hopefully, "just keep Pedaling" Dominic-Mary 🇳🇬🇺🇸🇿🇦❤
Wow, it's great that you managed to yourself a trike! It is, indeed, so much more comfortable than an upright bike!
It would be great to meet you in Nigeria, if, hopefully, I manage to reach Nigeria.
Hop là doesn't really mean anything, "hop" is a sound that kind of means "go" or "jump", while "là" means "there", so I guess it could be translated as "there you go".
It's just a way to bring attention, basically.
@@KinoYvesLet me then just say hop la! 👍😂😅
@@KinoYves we have the same expression in Turkish. When kids jump we say ‘Hoppala’…
Wow it was worth the wait Mr Yves goodmorning🙏🙏🇰🇪 hopefully you are safe

We Zambians never take advantage of foreigners! Our culture is to take care of visitors not to take advantage of them like in some countries do.
We Ugandans love Zambians.
@@Kiriza22 Zambia, the country of Kalusha Bwalya,. We love Zambians too.Watching from Sudan.
Am big follower of this channel and I have watched alot of your videos,am a Kenyan, one thing I have abserved is that, Zambia is very good place as an agriculturist to invest, not a densely populated, vast land and a lot of grass for cattle and livestock rearing,I think I would consider this place sometimes.
Indeed, what you say is very true
Till they get xenophobic like Tanzanians
Mybe you can explain on this vlogs how do you think the currency is,mybe how citizens from other countries needs to do to invest there and live there please if you find time, otherwise thank you for showing how Africa is beautiful
@@jeff.musyoka7424 I have friends from Kenya who have invested in Zambia 🇿🇲 even in agriculture.
@@jeff.musyoka7424 I too have loved the Zambia terrain. A lot of arable land and seems the weather too is favourable for farming. What's their GDP?

The guavas are easy to take in, but watch out for the exit...loving u all the way. Big ups👍
That particular campsite is expensive, we have way cheaper campsites in Zambia.
Been following you from Beirut but this road gives chills from careless tanzanian bus and truck drivers..they are the culprits of many accidents on this highway..safe rides Yve.. please welcome to Zambia and enjoy the hospitality
the 'curves' in the 'melted' road are called 'Ruts'... like 'stuck in rut' caused by heavy vehicles.
Based on Yves statement about his subscriber count, this was likely filmed in April, makes you wonder where he actually is right now! Love the channel and the adventure Yves, thanks for taking your viewers with you.
Bonjjour Yves . Merci beaucoup de nous partager ton aventure. C'est très intéressant.
Good morning yves am from 🇪🇹 ,i am happy to your 133 vlog

I'm following you till you get to South Africa and get back to Europe via west Africa
For the first time 😅to comment love you yves ❤
Happy Zambia is great to travel- Africa is tea amazing.
I think a lot of the fruit is in season from november to around february, like mangos and guava, and some year round, like bananas.
Zambians are happy souls. Chatty and friendly. Since you neared Mount Kenya in Kenya until Cape Town you will be encountering Bantu people. From Aswan in Egypt to Sudan, Ethiopia and parts of Northern Kenya you experienced Cushites or half-Semites ( Afro-Asiatics) who are a very different breed of people. These areas are wracked in conflict with very desperate conditions thus hospitality is a rumour. I was happy you met the young nice chap outside Khartoum and again in Kampala. He is a Sudanic meaning the language is Nilo Saharan - a happy soul even under very hard circumstances. They are also different from the Afro-Asiatics. However, the Cushites in Kenya ( specifically in Marsabit and Isiolo where you went plus a few Nilotes in the way) may have a friendly mien.
Nice you are in Zambia 🇿🇲 we are friendly people welcome to Zambia greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Yves & Friends it is ending winter season- you’ll find more fruit varieties once you get to big towns- Summer you’ll find more fruit in rural areas.
