- Second day of my journey to Mpanda in Tanzania, in Africa
After meeting some jolly Belgian tourists, it rains, and riding my trike becomes an absolute nightmare. I finish the day stuck in the mud...

From Kenya .please guys give this video a like as a way of supporting mr Kino .
You know what kino means in our language though😅
The Belgian woman was quite impressed by your journey and almost wanted to join you ... her husband had to intervene quickly 😂😂😂😅
She was almost too impressed😅
Very true I think I heard her ask if he had a girlfriend 😂😂
🤣
Till now i'm still thinking what did that woman want for Yves Kino 😂😂😂
The man asked if he was traveling alone and if he had a girlfriend.
Team Yves, the best you can support him is only giving the video a like, let's do it guys....morning my friends from Rift Valley Kenya.
Suggest we comment too and let the ads run, this I hope helps. Amazed at how you get through the mud.
Sure this guy is genius camping alone in that bush am from Kenya 🇰🇪 neighbors with Tanzania but I would be very afraid alone in the night go on bro ...
I love KENYA 🇰🇪
@Kino Yves what water purifier you use? Steripen?
The lady who bowed gave you the highest respect. I grew up in Uganda and there women kneel down in streets to greet is the highest respect. To see Humble people is heart warming. The drunk nurse claimed he is a Doctor was hilarious but he meant well. What an adventurous trip. It will be nice if you can upload vlogs twice a week. The Chinese are all over in Africa building infrastructure. At least locals will get jobs while building roads.
Why you think he us not a medical doctor?
The bowing is a way of greeting in some Tanzanian tribes.
Not a measure of who the respect or who they dont.
@@keagleeagle821 That is what Yves said. When he showed his card, Yves said he is a drunk nurse. Until then I believed him that he was a doctor.
I like how he kept saying, "I am medical doctor."😅
@@Flourish_todaylike quite alot😅
Yea everyone is taking advantage of Africa, but at least china is giving the infrastructure and not just arming everyone.
Wow, this one has been difficult with all the mud. You really are fearless, not afraid of animals and darkness in the wild, Phew !
I’m sure he was afraid, but when you’re in the middle of an adventure, you can’t let the fear make your decisions.
The driver who almost hit you was really driving carelessly. You reacted angrily.
You are so brave, i would shit my pants, sleeping alone in a tent in the wilderness.
@@Guitarfreak007 And with a snake in the vicinity!!!!
the Doctor told the guy "have your helmet on" I think he knew what he was saying but kino said he cant have a accident later a minibus almost ran him over I think its a wise idea to have it on
That guy was not a doctor.
I agree infact he tried to warn him that there are many careless drivers ahead, he might be drunk but knew what he was saying
He was a caring doctor and not drunk.. the prob with Tanzania is that sometimes it's difficult to communicate in Eng .. Finding the right words in a language you are not familiar with can make you sound drunk.
but u understood ..does ur nana in the village know English?
Great to have people like you who despite watching his videos, you also bring advises to him for his reckless comments
Yves, You help bring the world together! Your world tour has nothing to do with financial gain. You help to bring the world together.....as one no matter their circumstances may be! Hugs nd Nisse from Sweden 🇸🇪
I was so impressed with you Yves when you went around those ants. Thank you for your special care
those ants will pop the tires.. those ants are vicious and huge
Kenya 🇰🇪 well represented. Thank you for the video.💙💙

Hello✌ I noticed that you don't use a portable solar system to charge your batteries. These systems are available cheaply with a foldable solar panel that you could attach over your luggage. It weighs almost nothing, you would have USB ports for charging equipment and your range would increase enormously.😉
Well, I could think of coarser tires (mountain bike) and something that protects the bike's batteries when driving through water😁
I was thinking same tires, but make the mudgards easily removable with wingnuts. Imagine when that mud dries!
You need atleast a 200 watt panel to get any real trickle charge, and that starts adding weight. I’ve been looking into it but I’ve decided to just carry one extra battery and train to ride with no assist. So I can save my motor for when I really need it.
@@xmateinc I bought a 100 watt panel that charges my car battery while it's stationary, because electronics constantly tell me about the battery (Mercedes is nice), and if I wasn't there for 2 weeks, the battery was completely discharged. Now the panel in the windshield receives my battery so that I don't have to constantly replace it with a new one because it's defective. The new solar system cost me 35 euros. A new car battery costs 120 euros, which is a good deal for me. But there would also have to be a technical solution to charge the normal bicycle battery with solar energy without an additional battery while driving in order to improve the range by 50% or more. I'll ask someone who knows miot e-bikes and their repairs.😉
You've learned swahili so fast, your swahili is almost perfect.
Kiswahili is correct
The guy in the car is drank! And he is tormented about driving drunk ...and giving advice on safe cycling😂😂😂😂😊
Maybe he is giving advice because he knows they're others more drunk than him and we saw the minbus driver 😅
but what he warned him about almost happened.
@@patrick_tugumea helmet isn’t gonna do anything for you with a head on collision with a bus, or really any car. It’s meant for if you fall and hit your head on the ground or slide on the ground.
You mean you seriously slept alone in the Bush, in the middle of no-where in the Bush /jangles in Tanzania...after finding a snake in your Tent..And you managed to sleep the night...Thats courage/adventure... Watching and following from Kampala Uganda East Africa (previously in SOMALIA mogadishu)
From mphanda to sumbawanga, the forest has lions. Be careful...
Also between Rungwa and Mangokolosi. Apparently when you are in a tent you are secure. The 🐘 thinks its a stone and goes arround.
I followed you for a long time but what I love mostly on you is how you interact with the people, your so friendly
KABISA Yves turagukunda abanyarwanda❤❤❤❤❤
Waoh....1st to comment today. Keep on moving on. Watching from kenya 🇰🇪
Man your resilience & fortitude in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds is not just remarkable but also admirable.
Kudos to you Yves.
Nuff respect.
Bless up🙏🙏💕
Stay safe out there.
This has been a really tough section of the journey for you but you deserve all the respect for keeping on. No wonder, that old lady bowed to you as a sign of respect.
Kino at this point you should always have your spoon and fork with you, cleaned by you, dry and ready to use along the way
Totally agree! We have a sanitation problem without treated water and cooking in the streets and you wonder where the toilets are with all the people pouring out on the streets!
Yea a titanium spork is cheap and lite and well worth the pack space!
Or he can buy a dozen of plastics ones from a supermarket and be using them.
@@njuhinyararaofficial I really get stressed whenever he asks the raod-side vendors for spoons or forks... man, they are washed in dirty gray-waste water .... they are never clean ...and always wash your hands before eating not after ....Kino please
He just wants to feel the real villager life, you would even want him to be escorted by the convoy of police, that is the real meaning of his adventure.
have a safe ride Kino.
Real definition of ADVENTURE! Difficult BUT FULFILLING! What an EPISODE!The MATATU guy must have been high on SOMETHING 😂
No matatus in Tanzania ,only Dala Dalas.

Ssebo olimbaaaa
6:07 the radio presenter seems to be addressing you 🤣
I noticed also. He was saying something to do with the Foreigner's having to to teach themselves Kiswahili language.
Yeah of course 😂
Yep I also noticed it
He also said buka. A girl at the reception said 'I sure won't tell you what buka means'. Anybody??
Bowing is simply a sign of respect Yves. I guess all the time spent moving across Africa you should have noticed that. Be generous and kind to people who are respectful to you. Bonne chance dans ton aventure. Germain
The drunken nurse was trying to explain to you to wear your helmet because of drivers like that one who almost ran you down. Not because you're on a flat road, because accidents can happen even on flat roads.Prevention is better than cure. Still enjoy your videos.
That area is prone with motorcycle accidents, he knew what he was talking about! (Motorcycles+rain+mud = slippery disasters)
You got a good point, but the helmet isn’t meant to protect you from a car impact. I always wear my helmet and it’s literally saved my life twice, but it doesn’t help if you get hit by a car.
@@xmateinc Well if you are victim of a car impact you might fly away and your head can hit the ground. In this case a helmet could save your life...
my favourite channel in the youtube, very god ...
I see lot of people bash the doctor about his accent, i disagree with English part to be compulsory, i have Japanese , Cubans and Russians friends who are nurses and doctors and know almost zero English, nothing about english , but these are some countries example with the best doctors, many Africans go to Russia to do medical school, and some go to China , or Cuba, A good example CUBA also another example of a country have best doctors and nurses but with almost to zero ENGLISH
The guy's disjointed speech and accent were because of his drunken state. An embarrassment for the doctors and those in the medical field.
@@jereking254 thats facts, , Especially when he said have a good "JOOORNOOH" instead of journey, i laughed Hard at that word,, and and i find strange the welcome to my world guy in the middle of jungle had better english than a drunk Nurse
Have you ever thought about constructing a lightweight aluminum overhang from your baggage area to protect you from the weather? You could also in case you bags within that frame to be able to make them more secure.
12:56 I really enjoyed that conversation. She was truly amazed. Your travelling is vision 2030 till you complete. I will be here cheering you on. Bon courage!
you are amazing bro. you inspire me. I am from Brazil. Thanks so much for sharing your journey
Good morning my friend? From Rwanda🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼
Watching this from the comfort of my house & I can only imagine how tough it is, at the end, you’ll look back and smile. Glad to have discovered this channel
Kino I’ve been training to ride my ebike with no assist for just these situations, Im doing my longest over nighter this weekend 50 miles to the camp 50 miles back with only my 2 batteries, over 2k feet of climbing, the grades hit 15 percent here, and coastal headwinds. On my training rides Ive got 55 miles with 40 percent of my battery left. The weight of the bike really does take a toll on your legs, and the bosch motor I have you can feel a bit of resistance when the motor is off. But my legs are getting stronger than riding a regular bike!
Yves, the drunk nurse definitely knew what he was talking about 😂😂😂😂
He said he was a medical doctor. Why did u beleive he is a nurse? Is it arrogance or ignorance? To both of u.
So you believed he’s medical doctor 😂
@@abdinasirhajiWhy can't he be a medical doctor?
@@ghirmaiyyHe show his ID

Yves. Bon voyage!👍
This feels like it has been one of the most difficult stretches for you psychologically. I could feel your pain!I loved the bus station and the sound of the radio while you were eating. The views were amazing at some point as the road got wider. Cant wait for tbe next leg❤
This video defines a perfect meaning of what adventure is. FROM ETHIOPIA.
I'm not sure if I'm over thinking but I can imagine one day when Kino Yves will turn 110 years + and he'll be proudly smiling with or without all his teeth together with his grand kids and great grandkids as he watches all this travel videos he uploaded on TH-cam 😂 i can't wait to see his reaction when that day comes 🇰🇪
Yves, great to see you in the beautiful Tanzania!!!
OMG, everything bad lined up in the cheese model, rain, mud, unwanted people, darkness coming. Hope your resting spot was good and you have dry day tomorrow. Cheers mate!
Unwanted people? Like seriously? Why are you people so dumb? Could you go to a certain country with a sound brain excepting to not see the locals around? Why in the first place do you want to go there?
The guy flipped the eggs just like a frittata. And he used French fries instead of fried potatoes like in a Spanish omelette. And I like how he poured the rest of the egg in after he flipped it. Very interesting. Stay safe and good travels.
That's traditional Tanzanias dish
This seems like the hard part of your journey but it makes for amazing viewing. All the best and love for the frequent uploading. Good luck Yves!
Kino, did you sleep in the bush overnight?you are a strong man if you saw the snake and still stayed put😮
Morning my friends....... we are following from Rwanda

Kino: Desde Ronda, España, la etapa de hoy me ha parecido espléndida. Enhorabuena por otro día más de aventura existencia memorable.
Many African tribes have their ways of greeting/acknowledging people! Growing up as a Maasai child I had to bow to my parents generation and older, who would then place their hand on my head. And even as a young girl I was required to bow....
You are both tough and crazy. I have been watching your videos all day today. Regards from a Kenyan in Bangkok.
You had bad day for your journey but God keep blessed your journey upto the end to make it to South Africa I'm your fan from Rwanda 🇷🇼
Kino you are seriously one of my favorite vloggers best series on Yt! I love how you ride up on village folks living their daily lives and fascinated reactions. Whats hilarious is every closing sentence is "Can i have money " after a regular convo so random lol
To be fair, You should have listened to the drunk doctor. 20:35 drunk doctor advises you to wear a helmet and you refuse. 26:45 what he warned you about almost happens.
You are great, Yves! ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful contrast from the red ochre of the earth(mud) to the lush green fauna. You are doing well misuier Eve!Cheers.
