Good video. One thing I would say is the 2.7 in the Colorado would wearing me a little bit for longevity. 430 lbs of torque out of a 2.7 4 cylinder with one turbo is a lot. Plus I don't want to spend an extra $5,000 just to get cruise control the Ranger cruise control standard 😁
You can get LED lights on the Colorado LT with Convenience package III and they come standard on the Z71 and ZR2. The Ranger has a much nicer interior though as it has better material on the seats and the front passenger seat has height adjustment, while the Colorado has none at any trim level.
Can’t wait to see how much the 2.7L ecoboost option will cost in the Ranger?? Unless you need the size of the Ranger the F150 STX or XLT with the 2.7 ecoboost might be a better value after some discounts once the dealer lots are full of them by end of Summer.
The engine upgrade is a stand-alone upgrade in the Bronco for approx. $2,800 on the level up from the base model. I suspect/hope the same for the Ranger.
You need to watch tfl where the ranger whooped the ass of every single midsize truck including the Colorado when they raced.. they also pulled the same way up the I gauntlet and Ford pulled the same just as good.
😂😂, Canyon and Colorado are quicker. 6 seconds 0-60. Andre had a bad race that episode. Ranger is slower with 2.3. Quick edit Motortrend did 0-60 in 6.0 seconds and 14.5 1/4 mile.
The Chevy’s lights controls are in the info system, however, I always leave my lights in the “AUTO” POSITION, so I never actually turn the lights on unless I’m driving in a funeral
How does that make it more reliable? It's been in the larger Silverado since 2019. Our are you one of those guys the think more numbers automatically makes it better? You should do some research on how the actual engine is built.
I don't like that the fords vent controls are in the screen, that goes down and the last time you had the air go to the dash vents but now you need your defroster gl...at least with the light controls there default automatic so if the screen goes down you still have your basic function. I have been driving Chevy for 9 years and barely ever touch the light controls.
The chevy has its head lights in the screen . Screen goes so does your lights and so far tfl's colorado has spent as much time at the dealer than at Andrea house. It also ran hot up the gauntlet.
GM got 2.7 turbo 4 and the Ranger got 2.3 twint turbo. The GM have bigger displacement but got smoked by the Ranger small displacement in 0 to 60. Ford Ranger all day!👍👍👍
Half a truck length is not getting smoked lol, plus Andre was asleep at the start of the race as Roman and Andre both said in the video. I have raced my Trailboss against my friends 22 Ranger and have beat him everytime.
Chevy on this one. But I wouldn't buy one of these little trucks. I have friends that are grown men that have the Tacoma or Colorado... and its like, dude, just get a half ton. You look like a bear riding a bike at the circus.
The Ford has an available bed step, arguably better design than chevy but not standard.
It should be standard. I guess some don't like it? As a current owner of a 2020 Ranger XLT, those step would be nice to have.
I’m picking the Chevy because I live in Louisiana and those rear A/C vents are needed when I’m driving my kids in the hot summers.

You are not spending $5k for cruise control. All you need is the LT Convenience Package and it is $1270. LT Convenience Package ll is extra.
Colorado Trail Boss would be my choice.
Can't make my mind up I love them both.

The Ranger should have won the Ike gauntlet because it was faster with less brake applications than both colorado and tacoma.
@@Fernando-t8gyeah it was Andre’s truck though 😅 that ranger 2.7 will be a monster

@@DenC23TB the best the Colorado did was 16.61/4 mile and the ranger did 16.1…. Take that L
@@Fernando-t8g o is that why the Colorado won?? You must not have watched the video and the Colorado was much cheaper.
The Ford has a parabolic leaf spring setup which is actually better than the chevy. More leaves does not equal better in this case.
The Chevy’s lights controls are in the info system, however, I always leave my lights in the “AUTO” POSITION, so I never actually turn the lights on unless I’m driving in a funeral
The 2.7 V6 ranger whenever those come out should be more reliable than the Colorado’s turbo 4

I say yes always been a Ford person.
You didn't compare the ford that had the upgrades you mentioned to make the price comparable. That would have included dual climate, etc.
Ranger
You know you can replace regular bulbs light for Led , on the Colorado
Not mentioned is the Ranger can fit a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood between the wheel wells. That is a big deal for me.
Thanks!
Thank you!
I’m pretty sure fabric in the wheel wells are for noise dampening 😂😂
Gm takes a loss on that engine. The gm makes 40 less hp and 120lbft less than the ranger and it’s slower😂
Actually the Colorado is available with 10 way power seats, which includes the height adjustment.
Not for the passenger
@Mdan7 You're correct. Not available for passenger.
@@Mdan7oh no.... not the passenger? The horror!

@@DenC23TB with 40 less hp the ranger shoulda got beat a half a truck length 😂
@@freedomisntfree_44I think it’s due to the Ranger being lighter due to the aluminum body panels.
The LT does not have 4 low.
no heated outside mirrors on the Ranger XLT, not even available as an add on
The Amarok is around 6k cheaper, shame that you have to go to Mexico to get one.
Ford has key start, how '80s. And Colorado has Auto 4WD. Colorado for the win.
Well, they didn't sell ANY in February, nationwide. So apparently they did not.
Because there was none available to sell lol 😂 don't leave that part out
Late to the party. Fact remains, they didn't sell any. You may now return to your feelings.

Ford does it better than Chevy any day
Comparing two pieces of junk is appropriate.
With the junk commenter Seabrook, finding it off. Perfection.
Ford is straight ugly. At least the Colorado looks modern.
The Ford has way more leg room over the Chevy, I did not find it tight at all in the Ranger.
I've sat in both. Neither was cramped.
To my knowledge, you cannot get a two speed transfer case on an LT Colorado 23' and later. Usetacould, cantnomore.
