How to Setup Thermal POS Printer Using Ethernet Cable with an IP Address

- In this video you will learn about POS thermal printer network setup. POS printers can be used with USB connection and with ethernet cable as well. If you have multiple POS printers and you want to use all of you with cashier computer or single computer then you have to connect all POS printers through ethernet port using TCP/IP connection.

Yes you can! Connect the thermal printer with wifi router and your ipad should be connected with that router as well, second it depends on Your POS app also. I saw in one restaurant here, they were using thermal printers with Ipad.

I do a have a question tho - when changing the IPv4 settings, why did you set the IP to 88 instead of 87 as it is of the printer? Can you clarify that? That's all.
I could blindly follow the Tut, but i wanted to understand the process for future references.
87 is the printer, 88 is the computer
to avoid IP Address conflict. both devices can't communicate (PING test will fail) if they had the same IP Address.

Is the connetion work the same way, a mean the port? I tried, your way, but connecting usb cable to my laptop to printer, every things ok, but every time, i print something, it desn't print. Make sure with usb data cable you have to select usb port at the time of printer setup. only that way you can print using USB Cable.
I install the Star TPS100 thermal printer on the network
I install it on a computer on the network and it works normally, when I try to install it on another computer, when I search the network it goes offline.
If I try to install it via an app on my Android smartphone with the Star app, when I search for it on the network, it goes offline.

So if my printer is connected to a POE switch. Then what extra steps do i need to follow?
Because after connecting the printer to the switch and using that IP, whenever I am pinging it, it says request timed out
That POE is first connected to a jio router to that all my cameras are also online.
