Your right I didnt mention hitfall, I'm gonna make another video to post that goes over hitfall and more just wait👀 (update: video is posted watch here - th-cam.com/video/MsC-70NJwW8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XG2SkmboH0dbe91S )
1:20 the best move to start a combo with is down tilt because it can sometimes land into up tilt based on DI and more like nair and fair (also another combo is back throw into fair and it kills early on most characters sadly it’s based on if they DI in) 4:36 I would usually just charge it when my opponent dies or when their trying to recover Thank you this video was really useful
You don't *need* to double jump, it's just ur normally far down enough where you have to. You can also walljump or airdodge up if you want to save ur jump
the bubbles of poison deal damage everytime they attack and whenever an attack lands on ranno or his shield, one of the bubbles goes away. they do not go away on their own. they stay there until the opponent hits ranno for a number of times equal to the poison stacks, or when ranno dies.
@@Theovates I have this same feedback. Currently watching it now and so far moments like 5:40 ("Now we have the side special" > "This tech is called needle boosting") and 6:36 ("Well how do I get bubbles?" > "Holding crouch and then jumping"). The former feels like an editing error, and the latter is just really jarring, especially because you're asking a rhetorical question and then "answering" that rhetorical question with something unrelated. These moments break the flow of the video. I'm also personally not crazy about the free camera zoom-ins / angles being used (one moment that was hard for me was when up tilts were being explained and the camera was directly above Ranno), but I'll at least acknowledge it's a unique way to do it vs. other guide videos. If I'm being introduced to a move though I want to see what that move looks like when I see myself using it in-game, and demonstrating that at a different angle, even momentarily, doesn't lend well to that learning process.
@@9bulletrevolver those are very valid points, I'm aware stuff i went over got pretty unorganized in this video and I agree if I want to have cool camera angles of explanations I should be showing those shots less than the default camera angle you would see in game. I'm aiming for this next updated guide Im releasing on the 23rd for Rivals 2 FULL RELEASE to be organized and not confusing so I hope that makes up for this rivals 2 demo guide being unorganized as it is and thanks for your in depth reply
hey man, loved the guide, kinda confused about needle boosting? don't really see what it achieves or like how is it good to run off a ledge and then instantly charge needles? think Im missing smth
It’s useful for edgeguarding and chasing opponents from platforms or ledges. Checkout my top 10 tips video because it goes more in depth for needleboosting it should help ya out
can u maybe explain the b reverse? if i go with my stick left and right in the air i always do side specials. i can only do one b reverse and then always coming the side specials xD
@@frenzy.S Pro Tip: When you press the parry button in the air it does neutral special, it’s impossible to do side specials when using air parry button, hope this helps
@@OdaGoda957 glad you still got some knowledge from it but yeah 100% I know this got unorganized but that’s why I’m making an updated guide for full release on the 23rd that has chapters & timestamps, and goes over combos and stuff
i was hoping for more advice on what to do in neutral. Ranno doesnt feel that hard to zone out despite his fast movement, or im just bad lol. either way. i'd also recommend segmenting some of the clips a bit better, so they feel more grouped within a category.
@@MrDonRolfie I’m gonna release an updated guide focused on combos, play style, and neutral, on the 23rd or earlier, and this guide will be really organized with sections and timestamps to look at👍
It lets you fall of the ledge with the speed of your sprint as far as I know, and if you cancel with shield right after to get rid of needles your able to be off ledge to kill someone offstage. Thats the best usage I know of so far
Needleboost Waveland. It's hard but definitely a great movement tool in neutral. You can needle boost Waveland forward and catch a dash back or Waveland backwards and possibly have the chance to whiff punish
Thanks! and sorry about that, to make up for it I'm posting an updated guide on the 23rd which will be a lot easier to digest with timestamps, normal angles, all while being a shorter video than this one.
@@razex1177 It’s not patched. I go live 5PMCDT grinding RANNO, I’ll explain B-Reverse in depth and try to help you learn it if you pull up because it’ll be easier than typing it out.
