I purchased the Chantilly PM in 1987 and still have it. I love all the detail of the vachetta around the circumference of the bag as well as the safety and functionality of the buckle.

The Chantilly PM was $400, purchased at LV Copley Place-Boston, a small postage stamp sized shop. No dust bag, no box, just wrapped in tissue with a logo shopping bag. The luxury experience was much different then. It was the beginning of my LV journey ♥️🇫🇷👜🤎

Hello! There are some questions which may help you self assess which bag is best for you to keep
1. Which one have you used more?
2. Which one makes your heart sing more?
3. Does either bag have more sentimental value to you?
4. Which one fits your lifestyle better?
I like the new versions updated bags.
But I prefer to buy vintage bags. The quality is much better on the older bags.
I don't buy new bags from LV anymore because the prices have become way too high.
I simply don't want to pay that much for a bag
Same! However I don't like buckles so I haven't been interested in adding a saumur to my collection just yet
