You're welcome! Just wipe the canvas and the hardware with a cloth or paper towel and you are good to go!

I am so glad I could help! I was so scared the first time I sprayed my Speedy 30. I was so worried I'd "ruin" it. That was such a liberating experience..I wanted to show how easy it really is, and that it still comes out looking like brand new!
This bag is so cute! I love the original Saumur and hope they release this reedition in some other sizes. I am impressed how quick and easy it was to treat the leather, it feels like something that would take me hours if I tried it. 😆

I was terrified the first time I sprayed my Speedy 30. But after awhile, I realized you can't really mess it up! Just spray it. I dries down looking like brand new!

Great video!! As others have said, I have always been nervous about spraying my bags or just plain avoided vachetta bags. I just got the new Neverfull BB yesterday so I think I will do this to it. BTW, I live in Florida too - hence not having a lot of vachetta LV bags lol.
I've been doing this with Collonil Carbon Pro for years (I'm in the EU so no Apple Guard) and all my vachetta bags are carefree. What a game changer. I repeat every year or so.

Ive sprayed by bags with this, too. I did learn the hard way that it wears off after several months, which I guess makes sense! I didnt re-spray my pochette metis for like 2 years and the top handle did get water marks on it. Oh well, shes mine! Your house/property looks incredible. PS you look so beautiful in your recent videos, share your secrets!
I have been procrastinating spraying my Pochette Metis,Pochette Accessoires,Mini Pochette and the Cosmetic Pouch because i always think its so annoying to cover the hardware and all that. But after watching this i did mine immediately lol thanks for this. 😊

That is a cutie pie bag 🥰 Reminds me of the 90s🎉 Remember the LV & Coach buckle phase? Probably everyone did bit those two brands stand out. I’ve been nervous about spraying leather but now I feel better. Wish I’d done it before I messed up the vachetta leather on my tote 😩😭😂
I like the "old school" vibe of this bag, too! I destroyed the leather (spots. spots everywhere!) on one of my first my first bags with vachetta leather. I wish I knew about this spray at the time I bought that bag back in 2006 (I think).
I am planning to spray this on my new Saurmur bag, I have sprayed apple rain guard on all my vachetta bags and has worked beautifully for many years, with an even patina, no stains, no cracking, no harm to the canvas or interior. Way to go…love my vachetta bags after learning to do this simple treatment years ago 😀 I love this design so unique and chic!

It’s amazing that you posted this today because I was thinking about driving to Denver on Saturday to check out the Louis Vuitton store. I’m thinking that a speedy or an Alma might be in my future and I was afraid of the rain staining the leather.

I hang straps by the clips to my outdoor laundry line, I’ve found that much easier. I did my damier azur Croisette because I don’t like a dark patina on azur but I quite like a deeper shade on monogram. I thought I needed this bag a few inches bigger but now I’m thinking it could be an OK size… comparable to the Gucci 1955 Horsebit mini maybe? It looks so pretty. Not even on the website here in Australia so not sure if we will be getting it. Still haven’t had the ebene Speedy BB or the wee Neverfull released here either. You guys seem to be getting all the new releases early - lucky ducks!
Myself I prefer the golden patina and once it gets to the stage I want to keep it then I use the Apple Guard which Im so glad LV doesnt put a protecting coat on it they give us that choice. You look like you are glowing in this video very pretty, red is your color
I agree that it is great we get the choice! From what I understand, the spray does not delay the patina. It just protects from dirt and water spots. Thank you so much!
@@JustJennifer in my experience it has greatly delay the patina. I do not like the very brown looking patina to me it looks dirty and nasty and like you said could be damaged. I like the golden honey look not light and not too dark. It is strange too because I do like the brown leather that LV uses

Love the Apple Guard Spray. I had two vintage bags redone with new leather by LV and sprayed them when I got them back. Also sprayed the leather on a pre-loved Neverful also. Glad to see I'm not the only one that doesn't spray 8-10" away like the can says LOL. How often to you respray your bag? I've wondered about this.
I'll bet your "new" vintage bags are amazing! The can says to "treat periodically". I generally give it the good double spray I showed in the video and that's it. I did respray my Speedy 30 once more after a year, I think.

Some people say that they think it helps. Since the spray can't really sink in the canvas like it does on leather or suede, I'm not sure how that would work. It truly does not seem to "hurt" the canvas in any way, so it might be worth a try!

I needed to see this now…earlier this evening I was looking at a new LV bandolier vachetta strap that has been in my closet for 2 years, and I debated if I should finally begin using it. I actually have the same Apple Gardé spray, and will be applying tomorrow. My question; do you need to use this spray again to continue to have the same protection against water? If so, how often do you reapply it? Again, many thanks for this video! 🤩
Glad I could help! The instructions on the can say to "treat periodically". Honestly, I sprayed my Speedy 30 (I showed in the beginning of the video) twice, I think. It has been years since I've retreated it. It still looks amazing. Granted I don't use that bag constantly, but still.
I spray the vachetta leather on all my LV bags, and no water stains, no issues on any of them! It’s the greatest thing!

Hey there new subscriber! If you have a large pen mark or a marker of some sort on the white leather part do you know what would be best to use to try to get rid of the marker or pen mark without damaging the leather thank you

Hello Natalie. Congrats on your new Saumur BB! I try to spray mine once a year, at least. It depends on how much I wear it out and about. I tend to change my bags out often, so usually about once a year works for me. ♥

Someone in a group I belong to had spilled a cup of coffee on their LV bag. When they washed it, it was like new again. Vachetta has been sprayed with apple guard too. All their bags vachetta looks light in colour too.

Yes. The can says it "can be used on all colorfast leather and suede".

My cousin sprayed his leather jacket in a small bathroom. He ended up having severe/ life threatening pneumonia, because of the chemicals.
Please be careful everyone, avoid inhaling and contact with skin (don't spray it on your hands 😬), do it outside.

Thank you! Yes. Just wipe the hardware a bit with a paper towel or soft cloth after you spray, like I did in the video. Nothing too meticulous. Just a quick wipe is fine.

Yes. I would clean the leather first. Let that dry completely and then spray the protectant. You wouldn't want to lock in any dirt.

Yes, you should reapply every so often, but I find that I rarely do.

No. I just wipe them down after spraying.

I would probably spray that Apple Guard on a soft cloth and then wipe the leather down with the cloth, but that’s just me. This video made me nervous, but I know you know what you’re doing.
