I've loved Inness for years, and it's so great to see so many paintings together on a lit computer screen. His work, especially his later work, transcends the genre of landscape painter of any school. He discovered the connection between the inner life of nature and the inner light of ourselves.
Wonderful luminescent landscape painter that has thematic and spiritual preoccupations shared by Russian artists of the 19 century.Thank you for soul nourishment.
What an absolute resource these videos are. I've been interested in Inness's work for awhile, but would only seem to find it occasionally reproduced in books or rarely in person in a museum. To see the work in such depth really deepens my admiration for it.
First time I've seen his work. Such beautiful landscapes. Love the lighter paintings. Faded out mood is amazing. Pops of intense colors every now and then. 😍
Great to discover other wonderful artists away from the over beaten path of contemporary art...George Inness had a great sense of light...and a true enthusiasm for nature...thank you so much for this...
I have never encountered a landscape drawn by Inness. I feel the softness of the soil, grass and trees. Looking at the sunset picture, the sun seems to go back to the soil
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING YOUR BEAUTIFUL PAINTINGS THEY REMIND ME OF THE DESSERT NEXT TO THE WILD JUNGLE EDGE IN THE RAGING SUN UPROSRS THE VIBRANCE OF LIFE AND THE SKIES WARMTH OF SCENES. I LOVE THEM ALL
Jade, to me there is often a melancholy or an almost terrifying quietude even to some of his works, something so raw and enigmatic. Most cannot deny his unique vision and talents. He is world renowned even though many are often unaware.

Im wondering if George Inness'es work is available to purchase and only originals and where can they be found, Does Sotheby's hand thru auction, ? I love his work , a new found love? Lol. Thanks.
I wanted to become a great painter of beautiful landscapes and people, but when at age 15 years I had made no progress from stick people and stick houses surrounded by stick fences, I knew there was no hope and time to give up.
Terlina Pawlamik Well, the celebrated English artist L.S. Lowry did lots of paintings featuring matchstick men, so maybe there is still hope for you...
It seems he could have been an influence on George Bellows even. Those velvet blues are some of my favorites as in " Ducks On The Pamet River " ( only saw it once in an auction catalogue somewhere ) Stay Well !
Many of his trees, in the more impressionist style of work, take on somewhat human characteristics in spiritual ways. Absolutely beautiful, thank you.

Yeah, but...
Trump & his minions will turn this into golf courses & resort hotels
Or worst have the " minions " steal artwork and rape the histories with rationalizations and supposed justification.
Boring.....
Go to bed Walter lol
