And they are cheaper ✌🏼 I did use also MG ZR 160 rotors, they are 25mm wider, honda rotors are 23mm so you need 0,5~0,7mm thickness washers to give clearence.

Hey Chris, glad your getting some ideas. It’s great to do these small things yourself and get to drive a true classic. Look at Jordon Distributors at their main relay conversion. It will save you a lot of hassle.

John - thank you so much for the CRX build video series. I have a 90 B18C turbo CRX DX…this is now my 6th CRX…had them since high school and am now 38. The CRX I have now actually has your custom front cross member and motor mounts. It also has a custom exhaust from you guys. Since the mounts are OEM rubber, it drives super smooth with no vibrations. Since the car makes 400+whp the motor does move a lot on the dyno. I’m wondering if there would be a good in between for the mounts between the OEM rubber and a typical street Hasport mount. Also - I too would love to know which Honda model those center caps came from as I have those same wheels on the car!
hey Love the job on the CRX I have an sir jdm ef civic that I am doing up, I was looking in to the brake mode that you suggested I can there seems to be a few different types of mini rotors there is a 276mm and a 294mm which one did you use. Thanks in advance Dave. Ireland
I think those white 5 spoke wheels looked much better on the crx. Jyst my opinion. Can you tell me what kind of wheel that is? Are they Rota's? Rota was my favorite wheel company when I built Honda's. Never an issue and good pricing.
Sorry so is the bolt pattern 4x114 for these wheels ? If the front set up is from a type R ? I’m asking because I wana try this on an EK and happen to find a type R converted civic sedan and the bolt pattern is the 4x114
@@LHTPerformance I see; even better because that’s what I currently have and your setup looks awesome. Can’t wait to try the larger calipers and rotors. Thank you for your prompt response!!
I have watched the video about ten times. It was mentioned that the master cylinder and rotors where from a EX, nothing was said about the spindle. So to be 100% clear, the spindle has to be from a civic EX also? If so, what upgrade can be done on CRX Si spindles. Those Civic EX don't come up easy anymore. Thanks.

I know this probably somewhere on the internet and answered a thousand times before. But with the Type R caliper setup on EK, are people using DC2 Type R brake pads or Acura TSX? I’ve heard TSX were more suitable as they don’t leave the overhang?
Question to the powder coated brake discs: is it safe to mount the wheels on this powder surface, because it’s not metal on metal..? And again it shows, Honda is like Lego. Just swap S2000, GSR, CTR and CRX parts with each other. 😅👍
@@LHTPerformance Hmm did a little looking into it. Looking on Honda-Tech and Team-Integra. They are saying that ITR and 98-01 GSR are both 1". They are the same part number on part sites too. I think 94-97 GSR is smaller tho.
Did this on my car and it makes the noise constantly like in the vid when he spin the wheel 15:00. Is it suppose to do that? The wheel spins freely when lifted
"Don't forget: enjoy your car." Quote of the day. I flushed my 94 Del Sol clutch earlier today then went out to enjoy the buttery feel. Sooo good.
John: "I hope its not dragging on too long"
Me: "I hope there are at least 50 more episodes of this build"

The ITR caliper is the same one as the 97-01 Honda CR-V

Very CLEAN! Great job!! The k-1s look amazing on the white!
Yes to the half inch lower on the suspension. LOVE the k1s. I love this build.
No lie i remember that feature and still have the magazine. That black rex was just other worldy to me.
We love 90s Honda content...
He'll yea I've been waiting
UK discs from MG ZS 180 use the Honda caliper 282mm and have same size studs unlike the mini rotors
Good to know, If these don’t work ( I’m sure there fine) . It may not be cost effective getting that rotor in other parts of the world.

The smaller rotors.
You can use typer 98 spec rear calipers and civic eu8 260mm rear discs just incase you dident know 😁
What model are you referring to 98 integra?
Please post the link where you found those center caps 🙏 been looking forever for a Honda set that will fit
Same ! I got the same brake and wheel setup on my EK
Better to use UK MG ZS 180 front rotors they use type r caliper and same size wheel studs as they use honda hubs
what year
I have this disc, but it doesn't fit with this brake caliper. 4 gen Civic. only the 262mm disc fits under it. How is this possible?

It it will not. You can do GSR Brakes and fit most 14” wheels. Most times you’ll need to grind down the bracket for clearance.
did you guys use the original crx knucle or the ex knuckle? i have a 91 civic si and wondering if the stock knuckles will work with those calipers

90 Integra axles. We did have to have the inner joint changed as we’re using a hydro transmission and male intermediate shaft.
I may have the a pillar cover if you're interested let me know
Great looking crx 👍🏾. Are they 205-50-15 or 205-45-16. Nice wheels. Reminds me of the Mitsubishi Evo wheels from I think 04 🤔

Just shocked how heavy those T-R, CRV calipers are over DC2 let alone Civics.
