One thing I notice is hat the rear brake pads are very small. It doesn't seem like they would be doing that much to help with stopping. I know cars have a 70-30 front to back) braking characteristics but this seems more like 90 in front and 10 in back.
illstplaya They’re bigger than the original setup at least. I could have done a 4 piston setup, but I would have lost the parking brake. You possibly could have done a dual caliper setup, but I’m not sure how that would work with the stock parking brake. I don’t know what the exact bias is, but the new brakes sure do work great. They don’t lock up as much as one might expect and the pedal feel is really nice. I’m actually surprised it turned out as well as it did. Call me impressed 🤙🏻
those 2 piece rotors are sweet. i work at a factory that does alot of heat treating for Brembo, and i always enjoy seeing them come through. we also do a good amount of parts for GM, but those are a real pain.

Yeah... those brakes are massive! A brake upgrade like this is largely unnecessary for most people, as upgraded pads and fluid will suffice for most enthusiasts. This kind of upgrade is more beneficial for someone who takes on endurance races and/or very high-speed courses. Though one benefit that may most may not "need" but want would be the improved brake feel upgraded calipers like these provide. I always wondered why Wilwood brakes are so popular with the DIY community, and the price (compared to competitors) as well as ease of installation seem to be why they have a following. With some more work on the paint and a few cosmetic mods like taillights to make it more modern looking this is definitely one of my favourite 240's out there
If there is a shake in the brake pedal it’s a willwood problem on the rotors so if you need to contact willwood if there is a shake they will send you some new rotors

I would recommend you to show how to install it more clearly, because some people don’t get it. Like how to let the rotor stay in place, you didn’t show us that we should use the lug nuts to hold it in place.
Man I wish they made an actual kit for my truck instead of the weird mismatch of parts I have on it to have good brakes. Awesome choice on the Wilwoods by the way.
Thanks! It's a great car to learn on too. You can literally do anything you want, there's so much aftermarket support. Plus, it's relatively simple (no ABS, no airbags, no stability control, etc.)
In a previous video, I had the steering wheel's original leather restored. I will entertain different seats, but I really like the stock ones. I'd like to see if I could get them reupholstered first.
What rear brake kit is that or where did you get it? I have the Wilwood Superlite kit on the front of my S13 and am struggling to find a rear kit to go with it.
