The Autosports cars came out in or around '96 I believe. I was one of the only ones that beat Bush's Titanium coupe back in 94 before he went with the 390+ motor and all caged out. I ran with Street Lethal Performance back then and went undefeated at all the spots you mentioned along with Astro, Mint, Platinum, Carter, Dowdy Ferry Rd, St Augustine, Manana, Luna, Centennial liquor, Church, Behind Miller Brewery and even remember racing in front on Fenders drive thru. I ran at the Ford Motorsports Nationals in 1994 and back when True Street was a 50mile your instead of 30 miles. Dude those were the days. I can go on and on and on lol!!!! Back to Autosports Unlimited, I never raced any of you guys, the white hatch either from Autosports but I did slap Reid around when he was in his Black GT running under the UFO Racing banner with Leon and Jeffs white GT....

I raced Bush coupe over on the dark rd that ran down on royal headed toward the movie studio he ended up beating me by like a couple of cars but had to drive around me he was a stripped down 200 shot against my full weight GT and a 150 shot still fun times also Reid lol that was one crazy dude in his tin can 351 juice monster that always broke down him lol and by the way I was the First Red GT from Autosports Archie and myself was always together at the races his green beast with the fabricated intake was long gone lol

you know whats really funny is 20 years ago if you raced on the streets and had a low 11 or 10 second car you were basically a shark and all imports and 12 second and slower cars were just fish in the sea but now days EVERY damn car including imports are ALL sharks and a 11 sec car maybe a lemon or reef shark but still a shark lol now days 7 and 8 sec cars are the Great whites and 9 and low 10 sec cars are like Tiger and Bull sharks lmao its freaking unreal how far and quickly technology has come in the race world congrats to ALL my Shark friends Amen and hallelujah

Being that the latest 2.5 liter has been in the US for 2 yrs, I'd say they are killing it right now. Keep in mind that the TTRS is "only bolt ons and a tune only for power. It's still running the factory turbo, catback, heads, heavy breaks, rotors, drive shafts, suspension and battery. They are hitting high 9s low 10s with just e85 and bolt ons.
@@timsmith8242 All the vettes in the video were faster than Audi. The C7 ZR1 just went 8.8@156 in the summer heat on the blower only. I'm not saying it's slow but pump your breaks there little man. It's fast for what it is but it won't be breaking records anytime soon.
@@cali2468 8.8 @158 is the current record for the 2.5liter running the IMS 1000 kit. Again, it's only been aprox. 2yrs in the USA, even less time for the Gen 3 TTRS. I'm hopeful that the aftermarket will push this car in to the low 8s and beyond, but 8.8 @158 is noteworthy for such a new platform.
