- Modding for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk has been growing more and more, and there have been some advancements! More gameplay tweaks, new gameplay mechanics and overhauls are being added, and our first look into some custom map related mods. I wanted to showcase more of what the Bomb Rush Cyberfunk community has come up with to make Bomb Rush Cyberfunk even more fun!

Its crazy how a multiplayer, moddable, music focused hangout space doesn't exist as a game, like a VR chat with a trick system and combo meter. People are just turning Bomb Rush into exactly that and its really interesting to see.
We've reaches the point now where people can make skits for BRC and I think It's pretty damn cool

Who knows if they were considering mods years ago but I recommended they make the game moddable to the game director and he said he'll see what they can do. I even recommended songs as well. With 1 of them making into the game but not sure if my recommendation helped. (The song was I Wanna Kno)

Honestly the existence of mods alone are probably gonna expand this games lifetime for years to come it's already a great game but it doesn't have enough to keep people talking on it's own the mods will keep people talking either people making joke character addons or the loving fans that add their OCs these mods will keep the game in people's mind

I wonder why they dont just get the functionality for Steam Workshop function for the game seeing as so many people are making mods
So many of these mods should just be included by default in the next game (if there will be a next one).
That Jakes hangout would be so sick if you could do DDR and stuff in there.
Definitely would be cool to have a number of these mods in the base game
I feel like if its possible people should take a few notes from the a hat in time comunity...like a mod that acts like a mod menu (in ahit pc its not a mod but built into the game) which would be cool cause you would be able to toogle mods you have and it gives the possibity of having whole new custom levels and maps. Or even custom missions if the modding comunity advances that far

Definitely possible with a hacked Switch. Probably harder on Playstation and Xbox
@@RisingSonic17 long story short, Xbox learnt their lesson from the original Xbox and the Xbox 360 so chances are the Xbox One and any later consoles won't be getting modded any time soon

I'm still waiting for someone to create a mod that adds light sources all around the map for the day/night mod. alot of spots that need it.
i wish there was a way to configure the tombrush mod to only enable the new colors on the maps without bringing the halloween aspect, the vibe of the maps looks amazing
If I'm not mistaken, there should be a day/night cycle mod that adds such to the game. In the config for that mod, it will allow you to change the color that is cast, similar to the tomb rush effect. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but it is a step forward to making ur vibe better
@@doju5505 the problem is that the night cycle is too harsh, to a point where I can’t see anything at all and there’s no lights, also when day comes I get this weird circle shadow around my character that doesn’t change even if I put the render distance to far

I personally don't use the mod myself because of how jarring the color is. Hopefully one of the modders has extra free time to do a proper lighting & colors mod. But, I know whatever they're working on next will be 👌
I can't get myself to like the Movement Plus mod. It's too fast for me to use and I have still have no idea how to use it to get to the mindwarp stages. Hopefully they will come up with way to make the Movement Plus easier to use.
I did mention you can configure and disable certain mechanics if things get uncontrollable.
So, you would just Have to pick what things you're not a fan of and either turn it down or turn it off

You go into the config editor in R2Modman, find Video on TV, and add in your link to an mp4

I do character mods for Bomb Rush. Basically have created all the playable dragon ball and resident evil characters and nier is on the way lol

Some of these should be in the base game. I wish Team Reptile contacted the mod creators to hire them to add them or something so that these features could actually be enjoyed by switch players.
I swear to god if this game had the multiplayer, colored trails, wallplants and movement+ (maybe this latter one as a setting, or something you unlock after beating the game in normal speed with the base mechanics) it would be top of the charts in its category on steam.
SO much of the content of this game is extremely promising, and mods help bring it out into the spotlight perfectly, but since it requires a bit of setup (and again, mods are only available on PC), a lot of people don't realize.

This may be a dumb question but do you have to finish the game to use the mods? When i click start modded i can't use any of the mods, not even movement plus.

Any chance you'll make a Crewboom tutorial, I can't figure out how to actually place the custom characters in, and how to select them. I think you're just supposed to dance at a cypher, and I was sure I put the character files in the right "Crewboom" folder. Hit me up if you can help

The mods remind me of when the Dreamcast did DLC. Makes sense given how this is inspired by the Dreamcast era. Such a dope game

You gotta go into R2Mod manager to configure the mod to do so.

Then you have the option to open toilets used while wanted. Then you turn it to True.

After you bring up the menu with the N key, you press B to switch to the other Emotes

I tried and failed with the custom graff mod, so resorted to changing the games asset graffiti file. How did you get the mod to work? I got tripped up with the whole " file name needs to start with your desired combo." cus how do I even know which combo applies to which graffiti in th first place.
So what "file name needs to start with your desired combo" means the crossing thing for when you do graffiti.
The medium ones have 4, the large has 5, and the extra large has 6.
So your file name is gonna be like this for extra large:
364125_Persona (make sure this is a png or a jpg)
If you wanna Check if it worked, you'll open up your phone and you can scroll to see if the graffiti is in there. If it's an extra large one, it's most likely gonna be at the very very bottom with the combo you'll do to use it.
