This band is one of the best I heard from Emment's collection of top musicians. Dick Oattts and Terell Stafford are playing so well - and their solos are just plain grooving & "hip" - Kyle Poole and of course Peter Washington ...so relaxed and happening! (Pete Magadini)
Go check out this big band called “central Washington university jazz band 1” they do two renditions of Skylark, one with their lead alto Lucas Simpson and another with Dick Oats as a guest artist. I won’t bias you with my opinion but you tell me which of the two had a better set of that same chart when you’re done.

Excellent solos by Terell and Emmet. Never forget how great Freddie and Herbie were.
