My wife and I purchased a Toyota 2022 RAV 4 Prime in March. 45 miles on electric and 38-40+ mpg on gas and its all wheel drive. Yes this is the best plug in SUV out there.

Great Review,Thanks. My wife just received her 2022 Rav4 Prime XSE. She and I both love this car.It is very quick locally and on the highway. The only draw back is the xse unless you get the 6000 dollar option you will not get any front parking assist or beeper. you have no idea on how close you are to any object in front of you. This is not a problem for me because I'm 6foot.But if you are any shorter than say 5feet 4 inchyou can't even see the front of your car .All you'll see is the dash, try parking your car like that.Other wise the car is GREAT!!!

We signed a contract tonight for a red RAV4 Prime XSE to be delivered between April 14 and 20. Our dealer charged $3000.00 over MSRP, but he found us a vehicle within 3 weeks of our first inquiry. We drive a minimum of 350 mi each week, most of it in 40 mile increments. We have solar panels at home, and free charging at the office. That savings over $5.50 per gallon petrol considerably softens the monthly payment. We can’t wait, and we shall post our driving experience and impressions, from far Northern California. First time ever buying a vehicle we have never driven…. Strange times indeed!

@@rocket2811 We got the car March 23. We have put just under 1000 miles on it, and we are very pleased. The charging time on this XSE is about 12 hours using 120 volt cable supplied. We are getting 38 miles range in EV mode running the heater in our cold mornings. I have not pushed the car, breaking it in gently. It is very quick with plenty of acceleration regardless of mode. We too it to the snow at Crater Lake and it performed very well. We are both very pleased so far. It is a quiet and very comfortable car! The JBL sound system is very good.

A bad driver on a trip home led to a visit to my local dealer a few days at the exact time a plug in Rav magically appeared at the dealership. Amazingly, no wait, just sign on the (inflated) dotted line. They had a bizarre word to describe (we got you by the xxx) because if we passed there is a line waiting outside the door around the block : -|. Other than that, it is a really nice car and the ev range given is conservative. I got 42 towing a light trailer with sometimes AC. It looks like I'll be able to do at least 90% of my driving on electricity.

One thing having a PHEV like this, I don't expect to have the 'range anxiety' that some full EV owners experience.
EVs are great in the city. But on long road trips, I don't think the infrastructure is quite there yet to support EV vehicles at every single gas station. Also, the technology is just not there yet to fully charge a battery as quickly as filling a full tank of gas. My road trips can be over a thousand miles one way in some cases.

We are looking forward to our RAV4 Limited Hybrid.
It is suppose to be built starting on March 14th.
What annoys me about getting a 2022 Limited is that there is NO HUD on it.
Toyota put them in the Prime but not the Limited?

The CRV 2016, has a problem with oil leaking at around 60,000 miles and now, the engine light is on, the system shows , I have to change Catalyst Converter ( upper) at 116,000 miles.
