- Enigmo Media Productions and I filmed this one. I just show what it’s like daily driving my Mercury Marauder. It’s a great daily beater. Fun, it’s kinda quick, comfortable, and most of all very cool. That’s all I really expect it to be.

Mods : JLT intake
Alternative Auto Lidio 93 octane tune
Steeda underdrive pulleys
Flowmaster mufflers, W/cats, stock mani’s
Metco upper and lower rear control arms
MSD coils
Normally I run stock wheels , these wheels are from my 2014 5.0 mustang. They are SVE series 2 19x10 19x9. Had them laying around and threw them on for the hell of it
I also daily a Marauder. Black 03, been my primary vehicle for 6 years, had 63k on it when I got it, has 147k now. Totally stock never not started, only thing I’ve ever had to replace (as In not by choice) is a water pump. I’m amazed by how many people approach me complimenting the car. I’ll keep it forever. Gathering everything currently to do cams, head studs, and a little turbo. The only reason I keep it stock I need to replace it as a daily but I have yet to find a car I want to spend everyday in more than the merc. Yours looks great man love the chin spoiler. Glad to see I’m not the only one putting miles on my car.

I have an 03 but I'd love an 04 because of traction control
Sharp looking ride. I have an 04 silver birch, wife drives a Cadi SRX. Everytime we head out on a long trip, she walks over to my Marauder. Claims it's much more comfortable.
Very nice. Yes they are very comfortable I will say. Like driving a couch.

@@JGARCIA415 👀 everyone gonna hate me but I’d go with the LS swapped 96 SS. That sounds badass, ready for boost. I loved my marauder when I had it. I sold it like a year and a half ago but I’ve always loved a 96 SS too.
Awesome vid and sharp car. I've had my '03 for just over 10 years and it's been my daily the entire time. I get so many compliments on it, especially over the last couple years. Been contemplating a Coyote swap or building another DOHC when the time comes
Thanks man. I appreciate it. I’m a big coyote fan, I have a 2014 mustang. Doing a coyote swap in the marauder seems like a lot of work and money tho. I’m not sure what the more cost effective route would be.

Just bought an 08 merc grand marquis LS,104,386 miles. Been a gm guy all my life but I LOVE my car and these cars. May be the best car I ever owned.

Yours looks very sharp. I loved the sound of these engines too. Wish I had $50000 to give to John Mihovetz to build me one that revs to 10000rpm. I was just looking for a project to cut my teeth on when I stumbled on an 03 marauder and now I’m hooked. Got bit by the mod bug too. Now I’m blowin money on this thing like an idiot. Max effort n/a builds are too expensive.
Yeah they’re fun cars. I have no idea what else I’m gonna do to mine. Probably just keep driving it and wrenching on my mustang but I have always had in the back of my mind about supercharging it. Who knows maybe one day I’ll pull the trigger.

The marauder market can be crazy. They’re either mint with no miles and want $30k or they’re beat to hell and ragged out. It seems it’s hard to find them in between. Mine is a good example of a decent shape marauder. It’s definitely not mint. But it’s not beat up. It needs a paint job and it has 150k miles. But I drive mine everywhere. Some think they’re Ferrari F40’s and don’t drive them 🤣🤣. Me , i don’t care. It’s a great daily.

I thought about trying a Marty tune out. Idk if there’s much advantage over a Lidio tune for a n/a. I thought about supercharging it but I’m building my mustang for turbo. Last thing is to turbo it. Gen 2 coyote swap, fuel system
, built trans, drag suspension is all done. I just drive the marauder lol

Transmission shift kit...and a p71 rear end is all you need....b4 tge end of the year I'm putting a supercharger
that’s sweet man. I wasn’t trying to boost mine. Just drive it. I boosted my mustang and put a big Borg Warner on my talon.

I’ve owned one 4 months. I love it. But hate it too. Lots of money spent on keeping it reliable. Previous owners didn’t do good by it. Only 58000 miles on the clock
Wow. Only 58000 miles with alot of problems? Damn. That sucks. Mine has 150k miles. All the things I’ve fixed was stupid shit like oil and powersteering leaks, everything with the ac system is new, compressor went bad, and the condenser leaked (which was my fault) so I replaced everything with it since I was in there. Rear end axles seals were leaking really bad and the bearings were bad so I just rebuilt the whole thing (bears , seals and axles) and slapped 4.10, might as well. Didn’t know if or when the timing chains were replaced so I just threw ford racing ones in it and replaced all the accessories on the front of the motor.
Only time it has ever let me down in 8 years is a fuel pump. Which I wanted to upgrade anyways. 🤣
Sounds exactly like everything I’ve had to do. It adds up, but fun isn’t cheap. Ford, fix or repair daily LOL. But same it’s never left me stranded. Just leaves puddles on the driveway haha
@@gurjodhdhaliwal8434 I have a extremely slow power steering leak. That’s about it. And yep fix or repaired daily 😂 thinking about selling mine again. 8 years with it has been fun but ready to simplify. 5 cars take up alot of space.

@@kohlewitak thanks man. Na mine is on stock suspension. Factory rear air rides. Thought about cutting a coil on the front marauder springs. Sounds ghetto but that seems to be the best way or buy coilovers in the front. They’re about 1000bucks tho. I don’t really need to keep adjusting it tho.

I've had mine since 2005, Id loved driving it ever since I bought it. I did not even realize what it was until a year or two after I bought it. It was the size of the trunk that sold me originally. But lately I've been considering selling it but it would have to be to someone that would love and enjoy it as much as I have.

Very cool cars, they kind of got overlooked because of the terminator, I think. Just like the mach 1 did. Those 4.6L engines are one of the best ford ever made. And they sound awesome. I have an 03 Mustang, but I would like to get a marauder, comfort, and performance.
It’s a fun car. I love it as a cruiser. The terminator 4.6 was a very good motor. These n/a marauder/ aviator motors are hit or miss. They either run fantastic and live forever or they eat themselves pretty early. Lol
@Shaneomatic91 I've had good luck with them so far, but I do change the oil and keep up on maintenance. The 3v is not my favorite.

I have an 04 with a sunroof, body, and all in great condition runs but needs an engine. It is starting to show that someone drove it hard. I also have an 04 Mach 1 and an 04 GT. Going with an all-new 03-04 iron cobra block and the DB heads that are on the engine that is in the car now, Oh also a new crank with forged inners. After that, it will be a really nice car.
That sounds badass man. I have a 14 5.0 I work on and my escort I’ve had for years. This is my beater. I run this thing hard too. Hahaha I’d like to do something like you got going on with yours but it’s kinda project that’s on the back burner. For now I just drive it and enjoy it. Would love to put a blower on it. But the mustang is getting turbos so that’ll be a lot faster lol
Use my 03 for 13 years...just regular maintenance...I'm not those that park the damn thing in the garage
I drove mine for about 9 years. Just sold it. Never had any big issues.

Thanks for watching! still on air, actually I just replaced the rear bags on it this past weekend. Made a install video too just for the hell of it. I figured maybe I could help someone. Check out the other marauder video I did in the parking garage.
What are you getting for mileage after the tune/rear end?
Well my digital display doesn’t work anymore. Haven’t had time to mess with it. But I believe around 13-14 mpg. Not great but not bad. I do mostly city driving. I get about 230-250 miles on a tank. The marauder has a 19 gallon tank I think.

Thanks man. I had a badass intro but it got copyrighted. So I muted it 🥲. The wheels are from my 2014 mustang. It has a drag pack so I put it’s street wheels on this. SVE series 2 wheels 19x9 19x10. Tires are nitto 555 g2’s. Front 265/40/19, Rear 305/35/19. They’re from LMR.com. They’re great tires and nice budget wheels. Paid 450 with lug nuts for all 4 on sale. I think they’re 500 something normally.
Stock wheels are back on now tho.

I have a 2010 Crown Vic PI with the 4.6L SOHC 16V and I’ve heard the DOHC 32V has problems. Is that the original engine?
Yes it’s the original motor. I’ve heard some stories about that too. I guess it’s hit or miss.

Thanks man. I guess It does a little bit. It sounds a lot better with it. Seems to be a little bit more responsive with it. But since it’s a open air element it does fall on its face alittle In the summer here in Texas vs a close box when Intake air temps go up in traffic. When you’re driving it’s fine tho. Never put it on a dyno because it didn’t really matter to me.

Yes i disabled it in the tune. There’s a option on the sct x4 to disable that. Tune also corrects the speedo.

@@krownvikkhris3004 no I always obey the law and follow the rules of the road 🤣🤣 I don’t think I’ve ever topped it out but I’ve done like 135. With the 4.10’s it took a while to get there after 80 hahahaha. Rides like a boat tho. Had some slight driveshaft vibration with it having a aluminum DS but it was very minimum. Kinda numb to it because my mustang one vibrates a lot at 160 lol

Wheels are SVE series 2. 19x10 19x9 for a 11-14 mustang. They’re from my mustang. Just threw them on for kicks. I’m not sure about the offset. Got them from LMR.com

Thanks for watching. The 4.10’s really wake it up. Vs 3.55. 0-60 will improve. Will cruise at highway speeds a little higher in the rpm range. I’m not sure what it sits at on the Hwy. I’ll have to pay attention probably at least 500rpms higher. But overall it’s worth it. These cars need 4.10’s n/a at least. If you want more off the line this will help. Could use a higher stall converter as well.
What’s your wheel setup if you don’t mind me asking?
19x9 fronts 19x10 rears. SVE series 2. They’re from my 2014 mustang. I put them on here for a bit to see how they looked.

@@Shiz1703 perfect fit. Zero issues. Had them on the car for about 2 years. They have 305/35 tires in the rear and 265/40 in the front. Now they’re back on the mustang and the marauder got the stocks. Car was recently sold. Bought them from LMR.com. Not sure if they make series 2 anymore. Series 3 came out which is a different design, more of a mesh pattern, but same size and offset I believe.

No. Only flowmaster mufflers. Thought about it but never went thru with it.
@shaneomatic9188 they definitely sound good especially with there full 2.5" exhaust with the s tube mufflers, definitely do not like Flowmaster tin can sound

What exhaust do you have on it?
I believe it’s flow master 40 mufflers. That’s all. Stock manifolds , cats. I bought the car with those mufflers on it already.
What aluminum radiator you running?
It’s a one off of eBay. I looked up my purchase history from a couple years ago. It’s called a amer-cooling. Looks like they’re out of stock now. I didn’t search for it tho. I’ve had zero issues with it. Old stock one leaked replaced it with this one.

@@04mararoo59 thank you. I literally just typed in aluminum radiator in eBay and it was one that popped up. It’s a little thicker than the stock one I think but you’ll have to see if there’s any in stock. It fits all panthers. yes, I have a IG. It’s shaneomatic_91

@@shaneomatic91 no the passenger mirror got hit by a limb and the top of the passenger rear quarter panel by the trunk. Has a pretty good size dent in it. And windshield busted up. I was in the process of finding someone to rebuild the engine. I got 130k on the clock and it died on me. Someone told me it probably was the timing chain. But now it’s a complete rebuild of the car.
@@bigdawg4614 doesn’t sound terrible. These cars are old now. You may buy another and it have issues. I’d fix what you have. Then you’ll have a fresh paint job, and a nice rebuilt motor. Unless you find a mint low mileage one but people ask alot for those. Mine was high mileage and wasn’t perfect at all on the body. It just looked really good on camera. Ran fantastic tho.
